Chapter 17 - Chapter 16: Training (1)

The Instant Dungeon stretched endlessly in every direction — a vast, featureless white expanse where time held no meaning.

The six of them stood together in the perfect silence, the weight of the upcoming Rating Game against Riser Phenex hanging over the group like a storm cloud.

Akari clapped her hands once, drawing everyone's attention.

"Alright, listen up. Everyone except Rias and Asia — start training with each other. Spar, practice your techniques, push your limits. I'll handle Rias personally."

Kiba nodded cheerfully, already drawing one of his demonic swords.

"Got it. Let's do this."

Akeno smiled elegantly, lightning beginning to crackle around her fingers.

"Ara-Ara, this should be fun~"

Koneko cracked her knuckles, her small frame radiating quiet power.

"…Okay."

The three of them moved off to one side of the white void, quickly engaging in serious sparring. Kiba's Sword Birth clashed against Akeno's Holy Lightning while Koneko used her Rook-enhanced strength to create shockwaves with every punch.

Akari turned to Rias, who was watching her peerage with a mix of pride and worry.

"Rias, come with me. First, explain exactly how your Power of Destruction works."

Rias nodded and began walking with Akari to a quieter section of the dungeon. As they moved, she spoke clearly:

"The Power of Destruction is the signature ability of the Gremory clan, though it manifests most strongly in me. It's a form of demonic energy that can erase matter on a conceptual level — not just destroy it, but annihilate it so completely that nothing remains. I can shape it into orbs, beams, or barriers. The more power I pour into it, the more destructive it becomes… but it's also draining. If I overuse it, I'll exhaust myself quickly."

Akari listened carefully, nodding along.

"Got it. Alright — use your Power of Destruction to try to hit me."

Rias's eyes widened slightly.

"Are you sure? I might injure you badly, Akari-kun."

Akari smirked confidently.

"Don't worry. I'm stronger than you, so I can survive your attacks."

Rias hesitated for a moment, then summoned a swirling orb of crimson-black energy in her palm — the Power of Destruction crackling with destructive intent. She hurled it toward Akari with moderate force.

Akari dodged it effortlessly, the orb sailing past her and vanishing harmlessly into the white void.

"Are you even trying?" Akari called out, voice teasing. "Be faster."

Rias's competitive spirit flared. She gathered more power this time, creating a slightly larger and faster orb of Destruction. She threw it with better aim and more speed.

Akari dodged again, but this time she actually had to put in a little effort, sidestepping at the last second.

"Not bad," Akari said with a grin. "You just made an improvement, even if it was only a little. Don't worry — we have a lot of time here. Keep training."

Rias nodded, determination burning in her eyes. She began launching more orbs, gradually increasing their size, speed, and power with each attempt. Akari continued dodging, offering pointers and pushing Rias to refine her control and output.

After some time, Akari left Rias to continue practicing on her own and walked over to Asia, who was standing a little ways away, looking nervous.

She gently took Asia's hand and led her quite far from the others, to a secluded section of the white void.

"Hey Asia," Akari said softly, "is there something you need to talk about? Because you can say it if you want."

Asia hesitated, fidgeting with the hem of her habit. Her voice came out small and shaky.

"Yea, it's… uh..."

Akari gave her an encouraging smile.

"You can tell me, Asia. We're sisters, right?"

Asia took a deep breath, then spoke in a rush:

"Well… I was branded a witch and exiled by the Church because I healed an unknown wounded devil using my Sacred Gear: Twilight Healing. So I came here hoping to be taken in by the fallen angels because I had nowhere else to go. But then I found out their real plan was to take my Sacred Gear and kill me… like I was disposable. And you saved me from them. But… you already knew about my Sacred Gear somehow."

Asia looked down at her feet, voice trembling.

"Can you please… take my Sacred Gear from me?"

Akari was genuinely shocked. She hadn't expected Asia to want to give up Twilight Healing.

"I think I might have a way," Akari said after a moment. "Just wait here a little."

She stepped back slightly and opened the System Shop.

She scrolled down quickly until she found the item she needed.

She closed the shop and returned to Asia.

"Okay, Asia. Now close your eyes as I do what needs to be done."

Asia gulped, her imagination running wild with perverted possibilities. Her face turned bright red.

"Uh… okay…"

Akari gently placed her left hand on top of Asia's head, fingers resting lightly against her soft blonde hair.

In a low, calm voice, she whispered:

"Transfer."

A gentle golden light enveloped both of them. Asia's Sacred Gear — Twilight Healing — began to sever slowly and painlessly from her soul. The glowing energy lifted away from Asia and flowed smoothly into Akari's body, merging with her soul.

The moment the transfer completed, a powerful wave of healing energy surged through Akari. She couldn't hold back — a loud, genuine moan escaped her lips, echoing through the white void.

"Ahhhhh~…!"

Asia's face turned scarlet. She immediately turned her head away, covering her burning cheeks with both hands, too embarrassed to look.

Akari stood there for a moment, breathing heavily as the new Sacred Gear settled inside her. Twilight Healing was now hers — the ability to heal almost any injury, even severe ones, with incredible efficiency.

She lowered her hand and smiled softly at the still-blushing Asia.

"It's done."
