The next morning, my head still throbbed. Heavy. Painful.
I stayed on the bed for a while, trying to gather myself.
Everything that happened these past few days… it didn't feel real.
But it was.
I forced myself up, went to shower, and got ready for school.
For everyone else, it was just another normal day.
For me… it wasn't.
I tried to act like nothing happened.
Tried to ignore everything.
But the moment I stepped outside, I knew I was lying to myself.
The world felt louder.
Sharper.
I could hear everything.
Whispers from far away.
Footsteps from places I couldn't even see.
Even the sound of someone dragging a chair from another class.
I paused.
"…this again."
I was already used to it.
Or at least, I thought I was.
But today… it felt worse.
Like my ears wouldn't stop picking up everything.
I exhaled slowly and continued walking.
"Just ignore it…"
Entering the classroom, the noise hit me immediately.
Voices. Laughter. Random conversations.
It felt like they were all right beside me.
Like they were whispering directly into my ears.
My head started hurting again.
I clenched my jaw.
"Why is it so loud…"
I tried to sit down and ignore it.
But I couldn't.
The noise kept building.
Getting into my head.
Messing with my thoughts.
Until—
I snapped.
I stood up and slammed my hands on the table.
"You all shut up!"
Silence.
Complete silence.
The whole class froze.
No one moved.
No one spoke.
I could even hear my own heartbeat.
Slow. Loud.
Then I noticed something.
The table.
It was broken.
Split into two.
My eyes widened.
"…did I do that?"
I looked around.
Everyone was staring at me.
Some looked scared.
Some confused.
Some just… shocked.
But I didn't care.
I couldn't even think properly.
I just walked to the back of the class and sat down.
My hands were still shaking.
I stared at them for a moment.
"…what is wrong with me?"
"Wow… that was incredible. You just looked like Superman."
I looked up.
Philip.
Of course.
"Stop joking," I muttered.
He didn't laugh.
He just kept looking at me.
"That wasn't normal, Jeremy."
I looked away.
"I know."
Because I felt it.
That strength.
That speed.
The way my body moved on its own.
It wasn't normal.
Not even close.
For a moment, we both stayed quiet.
Then I spoke.
"I can hear things."
Philip didn't react.
That made me frown.
"Far things," I continued.
"Voices… footsteps… even whispers."
I clenched my fist slightly.
"And it won't stop."
"It's like my head is going to explode."
Philip leaned back a little.
"Maybe your body is just… changing."
I turned to him immediately.
"Changing into what?"
He paused.
Then shrugged.
"I don't know."
I stared at him.
He was lying.
I didn't know how… but I could feel it.
The bell rang after a while.
Class ended.
Students started leaving, but no one came close to me.
Not even once.
They all avoided me.
Like I was something dangerous.
Something they didn't understand.
Later…
I stood in front of the mirror.
Just staring at myself.
Trying to see what changed.
Trying to understand what I was becoming.
Everything looked normal.
My face.
My eyes.
Nothing was different.
At least… that's what I thought.
Then suddenly—
My eyes changed.
Just for a second.
Sharp.
Cold.
Not human.
I froze.
My heart started beating fast.
"That thing…"
The creature from that night.
The way it looked at me.
The way it spoke.
"Little wolf…"
The word echoed in my mind again.
I stepped back slowly.
My hands tightening.
"…what am I becoming?"
