As the images slowly appeared, a woman in a long white dress was seen looking into the distance with a face full of pain. But in the next second, the scene cut directly to the front of a massive golden tree. Otto was clutching one of his arms, looking up toward the heights with great difficulty.
Looking at the gargantuan golden tree before him, Otto slowly raised a hand as if to grasp it. In the next moment, a spray of blood erupted.
Simultaneously, in another world, Kallen suddenly discovered a Honkai Beast about to attack a child. She instinctively ran toward the child.
But in the next second, a tentacle pierced through Kallen. The one being pierced was also Otto, standing before the Imaginary Tree.
Nearby, a massive yellow entity spat out even more tentacles, skewering Otto like ten thousand arrows through the heart.
Then, Kallen's figure appeared before Otto, offering him a smile.
Seeing Kallen's smile, Otto seemed to be instantly filled with energy. He snapped his eyes open, summoned a golden cube, and forcefully broke free from a tentacle, blasting it into dust.
He then lunged his freed hand toward the golden cube. A terrifying surge of golden energy erupted instantly, accompanied by a torrent of fresh blood.
After casually tossing the golden cube to the ground, Otto walked slowly toward the Imaginary Tree, summoning a great golden sword as he went.
"I can only find new hope in the past!" Otto then placed a hand upon the Imaginary Tree. Instantly, the tree sprouted countless white buds, which began to extend upward frantically.
"This brand new future shall belong to… her alone!" Otto spoke softly, a smile involuntarily tugging at the corner of his mouth.
With a flash of white light, the scene cut back to the moment Kallen was about to be killed by the Honkai Beast.
But in the next second, a semi-spherical protective shield instantly shattered into countless cracks, and Otto plummeted downward.
At the same time, the Honkai Beast that was meant to kill Kallen dissolved into countless particles and vanished.
