Chapter 30 - Chapter 30 : Graduation Day – The Watson House

Jay's POV

Morning sunlight spilled gently into our bedroom, and I stirred awake, only to realize I was curled in Keifer's arms. Warmth pressed against me, and I instinctively tried to get up.

Before I could, Keifer tightened his hold and pulled me back down onto the bed, his face nuzzling into my neck. I felt ridiculously light in his arms, as if I weighed nothing.

"Where do you think you're going?" he murmured, his voice half-asleep.

"To the bathroom… we have to get ready. Today's our graduation," I said, squirming.

"Five more minutes," he replied, dragging me closer.

I groaned. "Keifer, we might get late!"

"Five more minutes," he repeated stubbornly.

I threw my hands up in defeat. Honestly, fighting him when he was like this was pointless. I sighed and nestled back against him, letting the warmth of his body lull me into a few more minutes of sleep.

Keifer's POV

Jay finally stopped squirming, and I let myself relax. There was something comforting about holding her like this in the quiet morning.

Graduation day. Crazy to think we'd made it this far. And I wasn't nervous about the ceremony — I was more concerned with making sure Jay stayed in my arms a little longer.

"Can't believe I get to wake up to you every day," I murmured.

"Keifer," she said, a tiny frown forming. "We have to—"

"Five more minutes," I interrupted, smiling.

She rolled her eyes but didn't fight me anymore. Honestly? That was a victory for both of us.

Jay's POV

Eventually, we both got up and got ready. The morning was chaotic in a comfortable way — teasing, laughing, a little playful arguing over whose turn it was to shower first. We slipped into our graduation gowns, adjusted our caps, and looked at each other in the mirror.

"Ready?" Keifer asked, looping his arm through mine.

"Ready," I said, smiling.

Stepping outside into the fresh air, the nerves started to creep in, but I felt safer knowing he was right there beside me.

Section E POV

As soon as we arrived at school, the familiar chaos hit us. Section E was up to their usual antics.

"YOU CHEATED!" shouted Felix.

"I DID NOT!" Eman yelled back.

"You literally moved the piece!" Calix joined in.

Denzel laughed from the side. "It's graduation day, and you guys are still fighting over a board game? Typical Section E."

Yuri noticed us first. "Look who finally decided to show up!"

Everyone's attention shifted. Drew raised his hand dramatically. "Our graduates have arrived!"

We all laughed. Despite the bickering, this was our family.

Graduation Ceremony

The ceremony was beautiful. Our parents were there, cheering. Teachers handed out certificates and medals.

When our names were called, Section E's cheering echoed the auditorium. Felix pumped his fists. Denzel waved. Eman whispered about his mom crying, and Drew whispered back, "Mine too."

When my name was called, I waved at Keifer, who was clapping ridiculously loudly.

"That's my girl!" he shouted.

When Keifer's name was called, I clapped and cheered for him, smiling wide.

Soon, all of Section E had graduated. We walked outside, laughing and hugging, filled with relief and excitement.

Felix stretched. "Finally done."

Rory smiled. "We're officially free."

Cin smirked. "So… what now?"

Blaster grinned. "Party?"

Everyone nodded.

Jay glanced at Keifer. "Looks like you're hosting."

"Obviously," he said with a smirk.

Watson House

The Watson House turned into chaos as soon as everyone arrived.

Felix collapsed on the couch. Denzel grabbed snacks. Mayo and Kit argued over music.

"Put something good on!" Mayo demanded.

"This IS good!" Kit argued.

"No it isn't!" Mayo shot back.

I leaned against the counter, watching the chaos unfold.

Keifer looped an arm around my shoulder. "Relax. They're harmless."

Cin suddenly stood up. "I have an idea."

Everyone looked at him. "Truth or Dare," he said.

Felix immediately cheered. "Yes!"

I groaned. "Oh no, I can feel where this is going."

Cin clapped his hands. "Rules: refuse the truth or dare, and you drink the special concoction: soy sauce, tomato ketchup, vinegar, and raw egg."

Everyone screamed.

"This is evil!" Drew shouted.

Cin just smiled. "It's graduation. Risk and chaos are mandatory."

Truth or Dare Begins

Felix spun the bottle first. It landed on Drew.

"Truth or Dare?" Felix asked.

"Truth," Drew said confidently.

Felix smirked. "Who was your first crush in school?"

Drew sighed, embarrassed. "…Yuri."

Everyone screamed, and Yuri's face went bright red.

The bottle spun again and landed on Eman.

"Dare," Eman said, grinning.

Calix whispered something. "Sing a love song to the nearest person."

Eman looked around, grabbed a spoon as a microphone, and started singing to Blaster, who buried his face in his hands.

Keifer's POV

Then the bottle landed on me.

"Truth or Dare?" Felix asked with a wicked grin.

"Dare," I said. I already knew it would be something ridiculous.

Felix leaned in. "Kiss Jay."

The room erupted. I turned to Jay.

"Seriously?" she said, rolling her eyes but smiling.

"You chose dare," I reminded her.

I pulled her closer, kissing her softly. The room exploded in cheers, laughter, and a few fake dramatic swoons.

Jay's POV

I pushed him lightly. "Idiots."

Then the bottle landed on me. Cin's eyes gleamed.

"Truth or Dare?"

"Dare," I said, already guessing where this would go.

Cin's grin widened. "Romantic dare. You and Keifer have to slow dance… while confessing three things you love about each other."

The room went silent, then erupted again.

Keifer held out his hand. "Ready?"

I sighed but took it. "Fine."

We moved to the center of the room. Music started softly. He placed his hand on my waist. I rested mine on his shoulder.

"First thing," Keifer whispered. "I love how stubborn you are."

I laughed. "My turn. I love that you always protect me."

"Second," he said. "I love waking up next to you every morning."

"Second," I whispered back. "I love how you make me laugh no matter what."

"Last one," he said, pulling me a little closer.

"I love you," he whispered.

"Same," I replied.

Section E went wild, cheering and clapping. Felix pretended to wipe away tears. Denzel laughed. Everyone was happy, chaotic, and loud.

And I realized something important. Graduation wasn't the end. It was just the beginning.

Everything about this day—the ceremony, the bickering, the laughter, the dares, Keifer's touch—made me feel like we were exactly where we belonged.

And with Section E, life would never be boring.
