Chapter 6 - Chapter 6 Business Opportunities, Making Money

  Late at Night.

Growlithe and Riolu were already asleep, the two little ones exhausted from a long day.

Xia Mu, however, tossed and turned in bed, unable to sleep.

A lot had happened today; he needed time to process it all and plan for the future.

His brain was too active, making Xia Mu increasingly excited and unable to fall asleep, so he simply picked up his phone and started watching videos from the Pokémon world.

Surprisingly, the Pokémon world also had apps similar to Douyin, Kuaishou, and Bilibili, but with even more features.

In his previous life, he had always been curious about the technological level of the Pokémon world, but after actually coming to this world, he realized how advanced it was.

In short, many aspects were far superior to what Xia Mu's previous world possessed.

After scrolling through short videos for a while, Xia Mu clicked into a live stream.

Even at this hour, there were still beautiful women selling products—truly dedicated!

This was quite similar to the live-streaming sales hosts in his previous life.

He didn't intend to stay in this live stream any longer; although the women selling products were pleasing to the eye, they didn't attract Xia Mu's attention.

He continued browsing other live streams.

There were livestreamers selling products, wildlife adventure streamers, Pokémon late-night food streamers, and even some Pokémon researchers (their identities are questionable)

explaining Pokémon... a diverse array of content.

Finally, Xia Mu entered a livestream selling evolution stones.

The sign above read "Eevee Family," followed by the official Kanto League certification icon.

Opening the livestream's shop window revealed a dazzling array of products, the most eye-catching being the evolution stones.

Fire Stone: Allows certain Pokémon to evolve, such as Eevee, Vulpix, and Growlithe. Promotional price: 100,000 League Coins (limited to one purchase per person, quantity: 0/100. Original price: 300,000 League Coins).

Water Stone: Allows certain Pokémon to evolve, such as Eevee, Poliwag, Shellder, and Staryu. Price: 300,000 League Coins.

Moon Stone: ... Price: 300,000 League Coins.

Thunder Stone: ... Price: 300,000 League Coins.

  ...

After looking through them all, Xia Mu's head jolted, and he sat up abruptly.

The noise he made almost woke up his sleeping Growlithe and Riolu.

Seeing that they had only changed their sleeping position and hadn't woken up, Xia Mu continued watching the live stream on his phone and then opened the system shop.

Fire Stone: ... Price: 3,000 League Coins.

Water Stone: ... Price: 3,000 League Coins.

Moon Stone: ... Price: 3,000 League Coins.

  ...

Without looking any further, Xia Mu knew that the evolution stones in the system shop only cost 3,000 League Coins, the same as in the game.

He hadn't expected that the evolution stones in the real world would be so expensive, a full hundred times more expensive.

  Could ordinary people afford these?

Even if they could, only a very small minority would choose them.

Xia Mu then remembered that while the original story did mention the preciousness of evolution stones, it was only briefly mentioned and downplayed.

Most Pokémon that require evolution stones to evolve are not the kind of Pokémon that ordinary trainers would choose to raise—the cost is too high.

[No wonder, I really don't know enough about this world.] A thought flashed through Xia Mu's mind.

He could buy items from the system shop and sell them to trainers in this world.

Evolution stones cost 3000 League Coins each, but he could sell them for only 30,000 League Coins each, ten times cheaper than the Eevee family, with a tenfold profit.

Of course, there were many costs to consider before opening a shop.

Moreover, this kind of reselling through the system is fine on a small scale, but once it gets out of hand, it's hard to clean up the mess.

"That's it!" Suddenly another idea popped into his head.

He wondered what the cost of Eevee family evolution stones was.

If it exceeded the 3,000 League Coins in the system shop, he could sell them directly to them.

Anyway, as long as there was a profit, it was all profit for him.

The idea was good, but unfortunately, he couldn't sell too many at once, otherwise where would his evolution stones come from?

Some things are complicated. Once too many such items appeared on the market, prices would naturally plummet.

"I wonder if other things are valuable?" Xia Mu started searching for some items on the League website.

For example, valuable items in the game such as Ancient Gold Coins, Giant Gold Beads, Comet Fragments, Star Fragments, etc.

He was shocked by what he found.

There really were similar items, such as Ancient Gold Coins from the Unova region. If a complete one was priced between 1 million and 3 million League Coins, even a damaged one was worth more than 100,000 to 200,000 League Coins.

  Terrifying profits.

The Unova Ancient Gold Coins sold in the system shop can be purchased for only 60,000 Alliance Coins.

Xia Mu remembered that Mr. Bourgeois in Ripple Town in the game would offer a high price to buy them, and the friendly shops in the Unova region would also buy them, selling them for only 30,000 Alliance Coins each.

These things are indeed valuable, but not easy to sell. At least in Ebisu City in the Kanto region, no one would buy them. He didn't know if the Alliance's friendly shops would buy them, but he figured they wouldn't buy them easily.

Unless he found some professional collectors.

The problem was, he didn't know any of them.

Should he ask his parents for help?

If he really asked, his parents probably wouldn't help him contact people in this field, but would just send him money without even asking why he needed it.

Putting aside the Ancient Gold Coins, Xia Mu found some other highly profitable items.

An expedition team discovered many comet fragments and star fragments in Mt. Tsukimi in the Kanto region...

The comet fragments were selling for as much as a million Alliance Coins, and some larger ones even cost tens of millions or hundreds of millions of Alliance Coins.

Star fragments were worth at least 100,000 to 1 million Alliance Coins.

It's clear that the game world and the real Pokémon world are incomparable.

Having made a decision, Xia Mu planned to visit the Friendship Store and some shopping malls in Tsubasa City the next morning.

If the acquisition was successful, it would save a lot of trouble.

With enough money, he could buy Rare Candies at will, and even Magikarp and Growlithe could quickly reach the required level to evolve.

  ...

A long time passed, and Xia Mu searched for a lot of useful information until he felt a stinging sensation in his eyes, realizing it was already 1 a.m.

Putting down his phone, rubbing his eyes, Xia Mu yawned and lay down.

In his previous life, he preferred staying up late, enjoying the quiet of the night.

This habit changed after transmigrating; the original owner wasn't a night owl and would feel sleepy as soon as it was time.

Today was an exception; with so many worries, he naturally suffered from insomnia.

However, at this hour, Xia Mu was indeed sleepy. He had spent the day traversing the forest with Growlithe and the others without rest.
