Chapter 52 Humans, They All Deserve to

Die It was already past four o'clock when Xia Mu returned home.

He could have come back much earlier, but his parents insisted on letting him familiarize himself with the company. It wasn't

until the arrival of the League personnel that Xia Mu was finally free.

In his backyard, Xia Mu held Gardevoir's Poké Ball in his hand.

In front of him were Arcanine, Lucario, Red Gyarados, and Beedrill.

He pondered for a moment, considering some potential problems, but ultimately dismissed them.

  "Come out, Gardevoir."

The Poké Ball opened in his hand, shooting out a dazzling white light.

'Garde~~' Gardevoir appeared in the yard. After a brief moment of confusion, when it clearly saw its surroundings and Xia Mu and the four little ones, it immediately moved several meters away, adopting a defensive posture.

Its fierce eyes clearly showed how angry it was, and the aura emanating from its body was exceptionally sharp and highly targeted.

In its mind, its younger siblings had been kidnapped by bad guys, and now it too had been captured by humans. The only human it trusted, the one who had saved it, had utterly disappointed it.

Gardevoir's hatred was amplified infinitely, its eyes even faintly glowing red.

Xia Mu remained silent, simply watching Gardevoir, intending to check its stats first.

Arcanine, Lucario, Gyarados (red), and Beedrill all watched Gardevoir warily.

Xia Mu had already told them about Gardevoir's situation.

They weren't hostile to Gardevoir, but rather wary of it to protect Xia Mu.

  [Gardevoir]

  [Overall Assessment: Remarkable Abilities!]

  [Effort Values: HP (11), Attack (6), Defense (22), Special Attack (35), Special Defense (15), Speed (44)] ...

  In

Xia Mu's understanding, this was an outstanding Gardevoir, excellent in all aspects.

And its level had reached 45, no wonder that old man said he was worried about him.

After all, how could a novice trainer like him possibly control a Gardevoir in its forties?

[Nature, ability, plus such a rich move list—I've really struck gold!] Xia Mu felt a surge of relief; if he had refused, he would have truly missed out.

But now, the most crucial thing was how to resolve Gardevoir's hatred.

It's worth mentioning that Xia Mu had never seen a negative friendship level before; no wonder the emotion section had the tag "Humans deserve to die."

The damage Gardevoir had suffered was probably only known to itself.

For an ordinary person to untangle Gardevoir's inner turmoil without a deep understanding is a difficulty comparable to catching a legendary Pokémon.

Gaining a Pokémon's trust is incredibly difficult.

While Xia Mu's experience with the cheat-like simulator made things seem simpler, he still put in a considerable amount of effort.

And when a Pokémon begins to hate you, changing that relationship is even more challenging.

"Those damned poaching gangs," Xia Mu thought, overwhelmed with emotion, ultimately concluding with this one sentence.

He took a deep breath and mustered his courage to approach.

The four little ones were worried about his actions, especially Lucario and Arcanine, who sensed Gardevoir's murderous intent and wouldn't allow him to get close. It was only after

Xia Mu forcefully calmed them down that they regained their composure.

As he approached, Xia Mu's heart raced.

It was impossible not to be afraid.

He was joking; if Gardevoir attacked with a single move, he would be severely injured.

Fortunately, while Gardevoir appeared fierce and wouldn't let Xia Mu get close, it seemed to genuinely dislike fighting.

So, as Xia Mu took a step closer, Gardevoir took a step back.

This tug-of-war continued for a while before Xia Mu suddenly stopped.

"Although I don't know what you've been through, and I'm not qualified to advise you, if you're willing to talk, Arcanine, Lucario, Beedrill, and Gyarados are all willing to listen.

"You can rest assured, in this place, no one can hurt you anymore.

"Perhaps, I can help you find your family."

Xia Mu spoke sincerely, meeting Gardevoir's gaze.

With the power of Aura, he could hear Gardevoir's thoughts if it responded.

'Shhhhh!' (Humans, they're all liars! Even now they're still deceiving and using me.)

Its anger was at its peak; Gardevoir simply refused to believe it.

Its emotions fluctuated violently, and a powerful killing intent seemed to materialize, forming streaks of blood-red light surrounding it.

This wasn't real blood energy, but rather its psychic powers, influenced by its emotions, transforming into a more terrifyingly destructive state.

Xia Mu felt as if his body was being compressed by some force, making him feel suffocated. Even with his best efforts, he was forced to his knees.

"Lucario!" Lucario sensed the abnormality and immediately rushed to Xia Mu's side.

At the same time, it conjured an Aura Sphere and fired it at Gardevoir.

Xia Mu tried to stop it, but to no avail.

  A loud "Bang!!!" resounded.

The Wave Missile struck Gardevoir, sending it flying.

Only after the pressure on his body disappeared did Xia Mu breathe a sigh of relief. He told Lucario to stop attacking and then looked at Gardevoir again.

Having been hit by Lucario, she struggled to her feet, her eyes still blazing with anger, her emotions clearly even more out of control.

  What to do?

Xia Mu was momentarily at a loss.

He had thought that by mastering the power of Aura, he could hear the thoughts of Pokémon and easily resolve Gardevoir's hatred.

It was clear he had underestimated the situation.

If they really start fighting, things will get out of control.

Is there any way to calm a Pokémon down?

[Items! That's right…] Suddenly remembering something, Xia Mu immediately opened the system shop to check.

Soothe Bell: A melodious bell that can calm an emotional Pokémon to some extent. Listening to it frequently with your trainer will increase their bond. Price: 40,000 League Coins.
