Chapter 158 - Chapter 158: Existence of the Pre-Civilization

"Kal'tsit, what exactly happened? Ever since we parted ways with Aurora, your expression has been off, and your emotions have been chaotic. What is wrong?"

Theresa looked at her friend with a face full of worry.

Kal'tsit remained silent. She was very certain that the word Aurora had said during that final prayer was one she could not have misheard. It was indeed a word used in prayer from the previous era, and even its pronunciation was different from the variants of the current civilization. It was thoroughly the language of the previous civilization.

Could there be other existences from the Pre-Civilization?

Or could it be that person had actually awakened?

"Theresa, put aside the things at hand for now and come with me to a place."

"So suddenly?"

Although Theresa was very confused, she had no intention of refusing Kal'tsit. Although they were currently in a time of civil war, and going out casually under such circumstances would carry great risks, as her best friend, Theresa believed that Kal'tsit would also be aware of this. For her to take such a great risk and go out, it had to be something very, very important.

Out of trust in her friend, Theresa did not continue asking further and immediately began arranging matters for after her departure.

Kal'tsit sat in her seat, with countless thoughts tangled in her mind like a ball of yarn.

What kind of existence was that so-called deity? Was it related to the Pre-Civilization? In the worst-case scenario, that deity was Priestess, which would explain why Aurora had such unwavering faith and even said that the deity was by her side.

For the races living on this land of Terra, why could one who could control Originium not be called a deity?

But the situation should not have reached that worst-case scenario. After all, Priestess did not have the leisure to play the role of a deity.

Kal'tsit comforted herself in her heart. She now had to bring Theresa to confirm one thing as soon as possible, to confirm whether that person had awakened.

Kal'tsit took a deep breath, letting her emotions calm down for a moment, then looked around and glanced at the gray-haired young man sitting nearby, writing and drawing in a notebook. She frowned slightly. What she was thinking was not why someone was suddenly there, but whether she should bring this record keeper along as well.

"You should go back and pack up too. We will set off together in a while."

Kal'tsit thought about it and decided to bring along this record keeper, who was responsible for documenting various things. As for why, she did not know. It was merely a decision that had appeared in her mind, and she had subsequently approved it.

Babel's special operations team assembled quickly. Everyone boarded the armored vehicle responsible for long-distance travel across the wilderness, and then proceeded in the direction specified by Kal'tsit.

Inside the vehicle, Kal'tsit looked around at everyone and saw familiar faces.

"Caelus, I know you like to record many stories and histories. When the time comes, after we meet that person, I may need you to cooperate with me and Her Highness in communicating with him."

Kal'tsit remembered this gray-haired young man sitting in the back. He was someone with rather peculiar Originium Arts, capable of recording many things and even allowing people to experience those events as if they were there themselves.

Bringing him along this time was specifically to ensure a relatively good communication experience with that person, and also for the future of this land.

"Mm."

The gray-haired young man responded coldly. Kal'tsit did not mind. In her impression, he had always been like this, rarely communicating with others and only liking to read books, historical records, and biographies from various fields. He even recorded all kinds of gossip, even the kind of gossip that would only be popular for a short time.

Kal'tsit still remembered that the reason he was willing to join Babel was because he had wandered this land for long enough and knew all sorts of unknown secrets and hidden histories. It was by using these as compensation that he had been brought into Babel to become a data manager.

As long as information was told to him and recorded, even if a long time passed, when that information could be used perfectly in the future, he would bring it up, allowing Babel's combat plans to achieve great success.

Such a perfect intelligence officer made Kal'tsit feel that her luck was truly good, having encountered him while she was wandering and he was also traveling across the land.

Theresa followed Kal'tsit's gaze and noticed that she was staring at Caelus.

"Kal'tsit, relax. No matter what difficulties lie ahead, the upper echelons of Babel are basically accompanying this operation. No matter what happens, we will face it together and overcome it together."

"Mm."

Comforted by Theresa, Kal'tsit's expression gradually relaxed, and she then began organizing the information and data in her mind. She had to be fully prepared before facing him.

After a period of travel, the group arrived at Rim Billiton, where Kal'tsit showed everyone where Babel had been investing its long-term financial resources.

It was something buried underground, not yet fully excavated, and it resembled a ship. To the people of this land, it somewhat resembled a small mobile city, yet it was strange in every aspect, unlike the style of any existing nation or company.

Kal'tsit went through a series of complex identity verifications, then led everyone inside.

After walking through complex corridors and passing through various unlocking procedures, the group finally reached the deepest part, where there was a facility that looked like a coffin.

Theresa could clearly perceive that Kal'tsit, beside her, had become somewhat nervous. Her entire body was stiff, and her hands were unconsciously clasped together.

This was truly unprecedented. Theresa had never seen Kal'tsit look so nervous.

Although it was certainly wrong to think this way, Theresa found it strangely amusing to see the usually indifferent Kal'tsit display such an expression.

Kal'tsit took a deep breath, as if she had prepared herself. She gave off the feeling of someone about to meet a very important person, yet also like someone about to head to the execution ground.

After passing the final verification, the coffin-like facility slowly opened.

The person inside awoke from his slumber. He opened his eyes and saw this brand-new world, different from the one he had known before.

"Long time no see," Kal'tsit said.

"This was not in the plan, AMa-10." The awakened person spoke in a calm tone, without the slightest panic.

"Yes, there was an accident with the plan. Now, new life has been nurtured on this land."

The gray-haired youth watched this reunion that spanned a long period of time. He looked around, then wrote in his notebook.

"The Pre-Civilization exists on this continent."
