Mok tried to sit on the bed.
"Are you guys sure it was Phayu? What I mean is, what if we're wrong?"
Lamon and Toffee stared at each other.
"Well, let's forget it, Lamon. What if our prediction is wrong?" Toffee said. "Even though we can't be sure about Phayu, the story almost matches his vibe."
Lamon let out a breath.
"Mm… Toffee is right. We can't confirm whether Phayu did it or not. But our secret friend selection is done. What kind of campus life is this if we miss it?"
He kept sighing again and again.
"Ohh… stop it." Mok covered Lamon's mouth, before he could finish.
"You… you… let—"
Toffee laughed, watching them play.
"But Lamon… I kind of feel bad for Phayu. He actually wants to help everyone."
Lamon wiped his mouth and steadied his breathing, giving Mok an annoyed look.
"That's right…" Lamon lowered his head.
Mok teased him, wrapping an arm around Lamon's shoulders and making him breathless.
"You… I'll… die in your arms…"
"Wait…" Lamon and Mok paused. Lamon took a breath as Mok spoke.
"Aren't we forgetting something?" he asked, looking at Lamon.
"Yeah, that's right."
Their eyes turned toward Toffee.
Toffee took a step backward.
"What, what's wrong? Wait."
"Toffee, are you single or taken?" Lamon made a teasing gesture with his fingers.
Toffee froze. His face turned red.
"Well… I… I…"
"Ohh… I, I, I… just get to the point." Mok stared at him, while Lamon held his breath.
"Mm, I'm in a relationship. So mind your words, Mok."
"Oh! Really?" Mok touched his chest. "You hurt me, Toffee."
"Wait—" Mok and Lamon spoke at the same time.
"You're in a relationship?!"
They screamed so loudly that even the warden auntie almost choked on her food.
"What's wrong with you two?" Toffee looked at them strangely.
Lamon dropped to the floor.
Mok was still jumping on the bed.
Toffee just stood there.
"Lamon, are you okay?"
With teary, puppy-like eyes, "Do I look okay to you?"
"Toffee… couldn't you wait another week? Why are you so fast?"
"Are we that fast?"
"Wait, I feel like I'm in the dark. Tell me what's going on."
"I made a bet with Mok," Lamon said. "Whether you guys would get into a relationship. I thought you would take time… but Mok said it wouldn't take that long.
But Mok said you hated P'Artit, so I…"
"What did you bet?"
"My favorite anime character… limited edition. I bought it in installments…"
Toffee sighed and thought, "So I'm just a bet…? Not even worth more than a toy. "
He clenched his hands.
In the background, Lamon started crying while Mok happily admired his "prize."
Kissing his prize, "Do you know how many years I waited? No matter how hard I tried, I could never get it. Finally, luck is on my side."
Looking at both of them, Toffee wondered, "Can I go back to where I came from?"
Well, at least it's a happy ending for that anime character, right!
Toffee changed and cleaned up the mess in the room. Then the three of them walked out together.
On the ground floor, the warden stopped them.
"Oh my… Toffee, are you okay? I heard you had a fever. I was really worried about you."
"Sorry for making you worry, Auntie Wen."
"Don't be. Wait here... don't go."
She rushed into her office.
"What's going on…?"
Mok couldn't stop himself.
The three of them waited quietly for Auntie Wen.
She came back with a food container.
"Here. It's delicious, and healthy. Eat it."
"How can I, Auntie Wen…"
"You have to take it. I treat every student like my son."
Auntie Wen wiped her sweaty face.
"And you guys asked for another bed—I already arranged it. You can take it from the storeroom."
"Thank you."
The three of them bowed slightly.
"It's alright. Go… and don't make that handsome one wait too long." She winked at Toffee, looking at Artit waiting outside.
They said goodbye and walked out.
"Even Auntie Wen knew… how did I not?" Lamon pouted. "I'm such an idiot." He smacked his own head, muttering to himself.
"Ohh… what, little chick? Are you regretting it or not?"
"You jerk… just wait."
Mok let out a shameful smile, and Lamon shot him an annoyed look. He didn't stop teasing him all the way to campus.
At the parking area of Toffee's faculty…
"Hia, I'm going. Are you going to your department?"
"Yeah, let me go and check. I don't have class, but Kao and Win are there."
He ruffled Toffee's hair. "Go."
Toffee was about to leave, but—
"Hia, you told me to go… how can I?"
He glanced at their joined hands—Artit still hadn't let go.
"Aren't you forgetting something?" Artit leaned down slightly.
Toffee looked around, then gave him a quick kiss on the cheek.
Artit pulled Toffee closer by the waist. "Baby… give me another kiss."
"Hia… Someone will see us…" his voice cracked as Artit whispered near his ear.
Artit lowered his head. "Go…"
"You should let go first before telling me to go."
Artit released him.
Before leaving, Toffee tugged his collar. "Wait for me, okay?"
He waved and left.
Artit thought, "How can I… you're killing me, Toffee."
He leaned back against the car mirror, exhaling slowly.
"You're making me crazy…"
He ran a hand through his hair and let out a breath, touching the spot where Toffee kissed him.
At the same time....
Mok and Lamon, who were waiting nearby, smirked.
"Oh, look who's coming… our lovebird."
"Mok…" Toffee hit his shoulder. "Can't you just be quiet?"
They walked together down the hallway.
It was crowded. Students kept staring at Toffee.
The three of them stayed close, feeling nervous.
They kept looking at the phone.
"Hey… is that him?"
"Oh my…"
Students whispered all the way.
On the other side, our little gang started to feel nervous.
"Is there something on my face?" Toffee asked.
Mok checked himself. "No… you're dressed properly. Then what about me…?"
He turned to Lamon.
"You're okay…"
"You too—you look fine," Mok said, nodding.
"We zipped our pants, right." Lamon said.
They looked at each other, quietly checking without anyone noticing. Then all of them touched their chests and sighed in relief.
"We're safe…"
Suddenly, Mok's phone buzzed.
He checked it.
"Shit… what the hell…"
"Toffee, Lamon, I think I know why they're staring at us."
"What?" they asked together.
"Don't you follow Artit? What kind of boyfriend are you, Toffee?"
"You didn't follow either. "
"At least I have someone to share it with," Mok said proudly.
"Mok, just get to the point."
Mok showed his phone.
Toffee froze. Lamon was stunned too.
Flashback…
The morning, Artit woke up before Toffee.
Artit gently brushed his lips against Toffee's head.
He thought for a long moment. "What can I do? How can I make everyone stay away from him? How can I make the whole world know he's mine?"
"Artit, you're a genius… think… think…"
An idea struck him, like a flash of light.
He took a picture—of the red mark on his neck, with Toffee's hand resting over it.
He posted it. Tagged Toffee.
Caption:
"Sweet morning with my dear…"
The message was clear: "Don't touch what's mine." After posting it, he went back to sleep, completely unbothered.
The whole campus exploded. Shock, heartbreak, gossip—everywhere.
'One of many heartbreaks'—
In the morning, Engineering department...
"Turn a little… like this… ohh, your pose is good."
"How about this?"
"Ohh… so beautiful. Pim, as expected from our beauty—even the camera is stunned."
"Shit… the camera isn't working…"
Pim froze. "Camera isn't working."
Another friend, always on her phone, rushed over.
"Pim… Pim…" she called, breathless.
"What?" Pim asked.
The girl held up her phone. " What... My love… ohh…"
Suddenly, she fainted.
"Pim… help! Help! A beauty fainted! Someone call an ambulance!"—End of the backstory.
Back to present…
"Mok, don't laugh. Just walk," Toffee warned. "Lamon, you too."
"Hia… What did you do! Someone help me…" he screamed inside.
After class ended...
"Mok, can you buy me a mask?"
Mok burst out laughing.
"I can't believe this. People struggle their whole life to become famous—and you become famous in seconds!"
Toffee pointed a pen at him, face blank.
"Do you believe I can actually kill someone?"
"I surrender, Your Highness. Please forgive me. I'll try not to laugh."
He forced himself not to laugh.
"Then let's go," Toffee said, lowering the pen.
"Wait… is it because I laughed too much? I need to pee," Mok muttered.
"Toffee, give me five minutes. I'll be back quickly, Your Highness." He ran off at full speed, not even looking back.
"Seriously, you jerk."
Meanwhile, outside…
Someone was already waiting for Toffee in front of his class. As he stepped outside, he spotted Artit.
Feeling flustered, he could sense several eyes on him.
Soon, everyone started gossiping...
"Look, it's P'Artit… and Toffee…" someone said.
"So it's real…"
"They look perfect together," another added.
"They'll become a legendary couple, just like the previous ones on campus…" Soft giggles spread through the group.
"Legendary couple? Who?" a boy asked.
"You don't know? There was another couple like this. One was a medical student, and the other studied art…"
They giggled as they continued talking.
"Then what happened?"
"They fell in love. After that, many couples formed across departments. Otherwise, this campus would've been full of fights."
A girl whispered, "Who is he—the medical student?"
"You don't know? He's a doctor now. I heard he went abroad… I think his name is Krit…"
"Krit… even his name sounds nice…"
"Take photos of the next legendary couple—it'll go viral."
"Hurry, take it…"
In the middle of it all...
"Hia, when did you come?" Toffee asked quietly. "And why didn't you tell me before posting that photo?"
"I wanted to make it official. I don't want any trouble."
"What?" Toffee lightly tapped Artit's chest, like a puppy's paw.
"Really, everyone is staring at us."
"You probably got used to it." Artit tilted his head and breathed, "My baby."
Toffee closed his eyes.
"What's wrong?"
"It hurts." Toffee mumbled.
Artit bent closer. "I didn't hear, what's wrong?"
"My back is sore… it's hard to sit for long…" He glanced at Artit, touching his waist.
He shifted slightly. Artit let out a breath.
"Was I too rough yesterday?"
"Hia… let's talk somewhere else."
"Why? I don't care."
"You don't know how many eyes are on you," Artit muttered.
Artit held his hand as they walked side by side.
"Let me carry your bag."
"It's alright," Toffee replied.
"Can we go on a date?" Artit asked quietly.
Toffee glanced at him. "Can we? But where?"
"Tomorrow, there's a festival organized by the engineering department. Let's go there."
"Khap, let's go."
Artit lightly tapped Toffee's forehead.
Everyone watched them—taking photos and whispering—but they were lost in their own world.
Meanwhile…
"Did I take too long? Why is it so crowded?
Well, I have my own mouth—but if I can't even speak loudly, then what's the point…?
Ohh… I'm embarrassed of myself…"
Mok had already entered the class.
"Where is Toffee?" He checked under the tables, chairs, and even near the door—but he was nowhere to be seen.
"Didn't he say he'd wait for me?"
Mok stood outside the class.
"Wow, feels like I've been abandoned."
"No way, love really changes people…"
He exhaled slowly and tried to comfort himself.
Next morning…
Toffee's room was noisy and chaotic as usual.
Toffee had enough of it.
Mok and Lamon were fighting again, dragging him into it.
"Did you just hit me, Lamon?!"
"Why can't I hit you? Jerk… give me my blanket!"
Each of them held one end of the blanket, pulling it back and forth.
Meanwhile, Toffee was on the phone.
"Hia… don't tease me…"
"Lamon—!"
"What?"
"That's mine, you jerk!"
"Both of you, just shut up! Can't you see I'm on the phone?"
The room fell silent for a moment.
"Hia… what happened after that? Really?"
"You jerk—get off!"
And it started again, like rain that wouldn't stop.
The morning passed in chaos...
At the Festival—
The engineering department area on campus was filled with stalls and students.
There were booths selling different things, and separate sections were set up for various activities.
Everyone wore colorful bells tied with ribbons on their wrists—it worked like a fun entry pass. Music played, groups danced—it felt alive.
Artit and Toffee made their way into the festival.
"Wow…" Toffee's eyes lit up as he looked around.
"Hia, look at this bell—cling… cling… look…"
"It's so cute. How did they even use this as a pass?"
Artit smiled as he watched him.
"You like it?"
"Mm… I do. How could I not?"
Toffee kept glancing around, distracted.
"Wow… look, Hia… this looks tasty…"
"Toffee, be careful…"
He didn't notice.
"Toffee—wait!"
Toffee turned back at the call.
Someone bumped into him. He almost fell—
CLACK…
A firm chest caught him. Startled, his heart raced as warm arms wrapped around him. He looked up.
"Hia…"
Artit lowered himself closer to his shoulder. "Really… I can't take my eyes off you…"
Toffee tightened his grip on Artit's shirt. "I…" He bit his lip.
A soft breeze passed, lifting his hair slightly. They stayed like that for a moment.
In the middle of the crowd, they stood close, facing each other.
Their lips drew nearer, sharing each other's breath—almost touching…
Toffee pulled back.
Artit glanced around, a little awkward. Then he took his hand, and they moved on.
Toffee's attention quickly shifted again.
"Here, try this. It's good," he said.
"Toffee, I—"
He stuffed a sweet into Artit's mouth.
"I forgot to say I don't like sweets…" Artit thought—but he still ate it, swallowing it without chewing.
As they moved along…
Someone stood ahead, waiting for Toffee, gathering courage. His hands were cold and slightly sweaty.
He raised his hand.
Toffee was surprised to see him. He lifted his hand in return.
On the other hand, Artit's expression darkened as he noticed the way the person stared at Toffee—like a puppy.
"Don't go…"
