...
The images Kaguya Shinomiya had posted were roughly the above — a cascade of news reports, every single one revolving around something called the "zombie" virus.
Because in the eyes of the media, the appearance of these patients…
Really did look exactly like the zombies in the movies.
Infection caused a gradual loss of all reason, until in the end the victim was no different from a wild beast.
They would attack and bite any ordinary person in a frenzy.
The slightest contact with bodily fluids…
Was enough to spread the infection almost instantly.
The transmission speed was terrifying.
But this sort of thing should have been flatly impossible. Kaguya Shinomiya's world was a perfectly ordinary slice-of-life romance setting, after all.
By all rights, something like this simply could not happen there.
And yet, defying every expectation Ryū had…
This absurd thing had happened anyway.
Just like Blackbeard in the One Piece world, who had inexplicably been reincarnated.
Wait… could there be some connection between the two events?
Could it be that Kaguya's world had experienced the same kind of bizarre anomaly as the One Piece world?! That was the only explanation that made any sense — how else would something like this happen in a slice-of-life series?
A "zombie" virus? That belonged in an apocalypse story, not a romcom!
He pushed down the tangle of thoughts churning through his head.
Just as he was about to say something—
A notification chimed in his mind.
[Group Quest triggered successfully. Enter "Group Quests" to view details!]
"Group Quests… so something really has happened in Kaguya's world, the same way it did in the One Piece world. Don't tell me there's another reincarnator? But this is a slice-of-life setting — where would a reincarnator even get a virus from?"
Ryū muttered to himself with a frown, then opened the Group Quests panel.
No amount of speculation could beat just looking at the thing directly.
[Group Quest 1: Travel to the world of Kaguya-sama: Love Is War – Geniuses' War of Love and Brains and eliminate the illegal traverser, Meyu Inkyo!]
Time limit: 30 days | Party size: 3 | Reward: 2,000 Points
[Group Quest 2: Travel to the world of Kaguya-sama: Love Is War – Geniuses' War of Love and Brains and halt the spread of the bootleg zombie virus!]
Time limit: 30 days | Party size: 3 | Reward: 1,000 Points
[Group Quest 3: Travel to the world of Kaguya-sama: Love Is War – Geniuses' War of Love and Brains and recover the illegal traverser Meyu Inkyo's "Apocalypse Fabrication System"!]
Time limit: 30 days | Party size: 3 | Reward: 1,000 Points + Recovery Bonus: 10,000 Points
"Three Group Quests at once… this illegal traverser's bounty is no joke. And this guy actually has a System?!"
Having read through all three quests, Ryū's expression turned a little odd.
By the usual logic, anyone who had a "System" was basically a protagonist, right?
And yet the Group Quests were telling them to hunt this illegal traverser down and confiscate his System. Now that was interesting.
Ryū was half-convinced the Dimensional Chat Group was some kind of branch office of the Space-Time Administration Bureau.
Of course, that was nothing more than idle speculation.
"The bounty on his head is 2,000 Points — not even as much as Blackbeard's. The System recovery pays out 11,000 Points… is his System just that low-tier? Otherwise there's no way it'd be this cheap. Whatever… dead is dead."
Setting aside the stray thoughts, Ryū screenshotted all three quests.
Then he posted the three images to the Dimensional Chat Group.

RawrSoFierce: [Image] [Image] [Image] — Looks like we've got work to do.
RawrSoFierce: @Everyone — If you're interested, sound off. Party size is capped at 3 for now. Choose carefully.
Edward Newgate: Gurararara! Group Quests again? Three at once! Unbelievable!
The Eternally Seventeen-Year-Old Maiden: This one simply cannot let this opportunity pass.
The Eternally Seventeen-Year-Old Maiden: Little Kaguya is under the protection of this Yōkai Sage. Some mere traverser thinks he can cause trouble in her world? This one will smash his head in!
Kaguya-sama: So it really is a traverser… then it really is a zombie virus!
Crazy Diamond: Hold on… what does "System" mean?!
Apart from Ryū, not a single member of the group had ever encountered a webnovel, so none of them had any idea what a "System" was.
What they did know, however, was one very important detail: this System was worth a fortune.
Recovering it alone would net 1,000 Points plus a 10,000-Point bonus.
If they managed to pull that off…
It would mint several ten-thousand-Point holders in one go!
A certain Yōkai Sage whose Points balance still hadn't cracked triple digits was already itching to move.
RawrSoFierce: A System… think of it as a cheat code. Like hacks you'd use in a video game.
RawrSoFierce: That said, this 'Apocalypse Fabrication System' is only worth 11,000 Points. Even with three people splitting it, that's just 33,000 Points or so. The System's got to be pretty bottom-tier.
The Eternally Seventeen-Year-Old Maiden: This one doesn't entirely follow, but if the Admin-dono isn't the least bit worried, then it can't be anything impressive.
The Eternally Seventeen-Year-Old Maiden: Ara ara~ This one shall sign up, then~
Edward Newgate: Put this old man's name down too!
Green Grasslands Wolf King: The Great Wolf King is also signing up.
Crazy Diamond: Thirty days, huh… Nah, I'll sit this one out.
