Chapter 52: The Unkillable Body
A little girl who looked no older than five had just died right in front of them—and the manner of death was nothing short of gruesome. Her entire head had been blown apart.
Even if you gathered every last chunk and fragment and tried to piece them back together, you'd never reassemble a face.
Ryū's feelings were… a tiny bit complicated.
Because he'd just realized he forgot to ask why the traverser had that name.
Meyu Inkyo…
What a name…
Of course, it was a bit late to ask now. Her head had exploded like a watermelon—if someone could survive that, then they'd have to be straight-up unkillable.
Besides, the Dimensional Chat Group had already popped up a "Quest Complete" notification.
Which meant this traverser was well and truly dead.
Gone. Kaput. No-coming-back-as-a-jiangshi dead.
Ryū tapped the [Link] that the chat group had displayed. His Points balance—which had been sitting at a fat zero ever since he'd blown everything on the Six Powers—flickered and updated: 2,000 Points.
Finally, he wasn't broke anymore. Two thousand Points was nothing to sneeze at.
Enough to bring a completely average person up to the physical baseline required for Six Powers training.
Or enough to learn every single one of the Six Powers from scratch.
Ryū glanced at the small corpse on the floor, his expression unchanged. He turned toward the glassless window and stared out at the cityscape, then sighed.
"So now comes the hard part, huh?"
Wolffy stowed his bizarrely-shaped rifle and nodded in agreement.
"Completely halting the spread of the zombie virus isn't going to be a one- or two-day job."
Yukari yawned.
"This area alone has tens of thousands of infected. At this point, there are only two ways to stop the virus from spreading."
Kaguya finished the thought.
"Either develop an antidote, or kill them all… and even killing them all might not fully contain the virus. So really, the only option is to develop an antidote. I'm afraid I won't be of much help with that."
Developing an antidote… that was something neither Kaguya nor Ryū could contribute to.
Even Yukari, for all her vast knowledge, probably couldn't do much in this department.
Which meant it all came down to Wolffy—the Dimensional Chat Group's one and only scientific research wolf.
You had to admit: when the chips were down, having a science-side member in your party was invaluable.
But what really bugged Ryū was this:
Quest 2 was obviously the hardest of the bunch.
So why was the reward only 1,000 Points?
Wasn't that a bug?
[System Notification: Feedback from Admin "RawrSoFierce" received. Analyzing feedback content… Please wait 5–10 minutes. Analysis progress: 001%…]
A pop-up visible only to Ryū suddenly appeared from the chat group.
He blinked, momentarily stunned.
A look of genuine surprise crossed his face.
Wait, you can actually do that?!
Then again, the Dimensional Chat Group was basically a knock-off of a messaging app. Messaging apps had feedback systems… so by that logic, a Dimensional Chat Group having a feedback system was perfectly normal—
Like hell it is!
After a brief moment of internal griping, Ryū took a screenshot.
Then he shared the ultra-HD capture to the Dimensional Chat Group.

RawrSoFierce: "[Image] Accidentally stumbled onto a new feature."
RawrSoFierce: "Hold on, let me go edit the Group Announcement real quick."
Kaguya-sama: "Huh? A feedback system? You can actually submit feedback?"
Kaguya-sama: "Does that mean… the chat group gets updates?"
RawrSoFierce: "Logically speaking, yeah. If there's a feedback system and the feedback goes through… there'd have to be updates. Otherwise what's the point of feedback?"
Edward Newgate: "Updates, eh? This old man doesn't quite understand what 'updates' means, but it sounds important!"
Green Grasslands Wolf King: "Updates… as in 'upgrading to the next generation.'"
Edward Newgate: "Upgrading to the next generation? I see, I see! Gurararara!"

In the world of Kaguya-sama: Love Is War – Geniuses' War of Love and Wits, Yukari tilted her head curiously.
"Admin-dono, are you going to wait the ten minutes first, then look into the antidote situation?"
Ryū nodded.
"Let's hold off for a bit. Besides, this place actually works pretty well as a makeshift lab—it's quiet, at least. Wolffy, how confident are you that you can crack this virus?"
Hearing the Admin's question, Wolffy paused to think it over.
Then he answered with full seriousness.
"Honestly… I'm not sure. But I should be able to give you a satisfactory answer within ten to fifteen days, Admin-dono."
Against a "virus" he'd never encountered before, Wolffy wasn't about to get careless.
There wouldn't actually be any penalty for failing the quest.
But he didn't want to let it fail either.
"Ten to fifteen days? Don't put too much pressure on yourself. Just do what you can."
Ryū honestly didn't feel much pressure himself.
No penalty meant no stakes.
When you've got nothing to lose, what's there to worry about?
Wolffy immediately set to work collecting samples of the zombie virus. Two zombie corpses lay right there on the floor—perfect material to work with.
He'd also drawn a small amount of blood from the traverser's corpse.
On top of that, he'd snipped off some hair, clipped some nails, and sliced off a sliver of flesh.
Literally sliced her up for samples.
In Wolffy's eyes, the traverser had appeared immune to the zombie virus, which meant there had to be something special about her body.
It might just prove useful to his research.

Green Grasslands Wolf King: "[Image] [Image] [Image] Sample prep complete! The Gre—ahem,
Green Grasslands Wolf King: "No sleep for the next few days!"
We, Ying Zheng: "If one goes days without sleep… would that not cause problems?"
Green Grasslands Wolf King: "No worries. I can't die no matter what I do to myself."
Crazy Diamond: "Can't die? Don't tell me you're actually unkillable, Wolffy? Like, thrown-into-magma or run-over-by-a-truck and still won't die?"
Crazy Diamond: "*cough cough* Just kidding. Didn't mean to jinx you."
Green Grasslands Wolf King: "I think I actually am unkillable, now that you mention it…"
Crazy Diamond: "Excuse me???"
Crazy Diamond: "(°△°)"
Josuke couldn't believe his own eyes. An unkillable body… that actually existed?
For real?
No way!
Green Grasslands Wolf King: "My wife once smacked me with a frying pan so hard I flew into a volcano. Fell straight into the magma. Came out alive—though I was bedridden for two weeks."
Crazy Diamond: "B-boss! I kneel!"
RawrSoFierce: "Wolffy is a character from a kids' cartoon. Characters in shows like that genuinely can't die. That's probably why his wacky inventions are so out of control."
RawrSoFierce: "When a scientist literally cannot die no matter what he does, you never know what kind of insane contraption he'll cook up next."
Crazy Diamond: "@Green Grasslands Wolf King Wolffy-san, I'm following you from now on! I can't build inventions, but I can be your hype man!"
Green Grasslands Wolf King: "…"
