Chapter 90 - "A Legacy Reborn"

Chapter 86: The Seed of a New Pack

The morning air in the Silver Moon valley felt different—lighter, cleaner, and filled with a sense of possibility that hadn't existed for generations. As the sun rose high, casting a golden warmth over the village, the survivors gathered in the central square. They weren't looking for orders; they were looking for hope.

Silas and Elara stood on the steps of the archive building, the crystal seed glowing softly between them. Silas looked at the crowd—his people—and felt no need to roar or display dominance. The 'Alpha's Pride' had been replaced by a deep sense of responsibility.

"The Council is gone," Silas began, his voice clear and steady. "But their greatest lie was that we needed them to be whole. We don't. We have each other, and we have the truth."

Elara stepped forward, holding the crystal seed. "This seed is a gift from our ancestors, but it won't grow unless we nurture it with something other than fear. From this day forward, there are no more Omegas to be discarded, no more Alphas to be worshipped blindly. We are one pack, united by a single bond."

She knelt and placed the crystal seed into a small plot of earth in the center of the square. As soon as it touched the soil, the ground pulsed with a soft white light. A small, silver-leaved sapling began to sprout, its leaves shimmering like the mark on Elara's neck. This wasn't just a tree; it was the living embodiment of their new laws.

"This is the Moon-Oak," Valerius explained to the curious crowd. "As long as it thrives, our bond remains pure. It will be the record-keeper of our true history."

The villagers began to step forward, not to bow, but to touch the sapling or offer a nod of respect to Silas and Elara. It was the beginning of a long healing process.

Later that evening, Silas and Elara sat alone by the river. The weight of the crown was gone, replaced by a shared future. "We did it, Elara," Silas whispered, pulling her close. "We actually changed the world."

Elara leaned her head on his shoulder, watching the silver leaves of the Moon-Oak catch the moonlight. "No, Silas. We just finally started living in the real one."
