Chapter 122 - "The Judgment of the Silver Moon"

Chapter 120: The Judgment of the Silver Moon

The sanctuary of the Moon-Oak was no longer a place of peace. The grey fire started by the Elders was eating away at the silver roots, and the air was thick with the stench of ancient, forbidden magic. But as Silas landed in the center of the ring, the golden shockwave of his arrival extinguished the unnatural flames instantly.

"The Alpha of the Spire has returned!" one of the Elders shouted, his voice trembling as he gripped his staff. "You are too late, Silas. The Covenant has been declared a heresy. This tree must fall so the old ways can survive!"

"The old ways died the moment you traded your honor for control," Silas growled, his golden aura now merging with the silver light that was rising from the ground. Beside him, Elara stood, her eyes glowing with a brilliance that made the Elders shield their eyes.

Elara didn't use a weapon. She simply placed her hand on the trunk of the Moon-Oak. The tree, feeling its Bridge, let out a hum that shook the entire valley. The grey magic of the Elders began to crumble, turning into ash before it could touch her. "You called us broken," Elara's voice was calm but carried the weight of a thousand ancestors. "But it is your hearts that are shattered. The silver pulse doesn't belong to a council; it belongs to the people."

With a final, collective roar from the loyal pack members and the reclaimed warriors like Fenris, the Elders' power was completely neutralized. They weren't killed; they were stripped of their ranks, their staves turning into ordinary wood in their hands.

As the moon reached its zenith, the Moon-Oak bloomed in a way no one had ever seen. Its leaves turned into pure silver, and a soft, warm light bathed the entire valley, healing the wounds of the battle. Silas and Elara stood under the radiant canopy, looking out at their united pack—Alphas, Omegas, and outcasts, all standing as equals.

"The war of the Spire is over," Silas declared, taking Elara's hand. "But the journey of the Silver Covenant has just begun."

The First Volume of their redemption was complete, but the stars above hinted at even greater mysteries yet to come.
