"Alpha, you're being a fool!" the Void-King hissed, his presence expanding until it filled half the forge. "By refusing to choose, you are choosing destruction. The core is reaching critical mass. If the link isn't broken or purged, the explosion will erase this entire star system!"
The Alpha ignored him. He stepped into the indigo storm surrounding the Omega, his own skin sizzling as the void energy tried to reject him. He didn't reach for his blade. He reached for her hand.
"We are the resonance," he whispered, his voice steady even as his knees buckled. "If you have to carry the void, we'll carry it together. The link isn't just yours anymore."
