Chapter 26 - Chapter 26: Heavily Injuring Vince, Making Money is Most Important

Heavily Injuring Vince, Making Money is Most Important

As Arthur Sterling expected, the inherently brainless Vince immediately became bloodshot with absolute rage after being slightly provoked and having his attack so casually neutralized.

The overwhelming, toxic wave of anger actually caused the hulking brute to instantly ignore the blinding, stinging pain radiating from his right hand, which had just been mercilessly gripped and crushed.

He could be heard cursing Arthur loudly into the humid night air. "Fu*k you!"

At the exact same time, he forcefully pulled his injured right hand back, swung both of his heavy fists again, and lunged wildly at Arthur with all his substantial weight.

Looking at the charging, burly Vince and his entirely predictable fighting techniques, which were clearly learned from sloppy, drunken street brawls, Arthur could not help but clearly recall the specific words of Coach Eddie at the boxing club earlier today.

"Boss, I honestly do not know why you want to learn boxing," Eddie had said, wrapping his massive hands.

"But since you have paid to hire me as your private coach, I will seriously teach you some lethal tricks."

"You have absolutely great, explosive strength, but you must remember something vital."

"While boxing is an aggressive sport that places heavy emphasis on raw power, big guys will always have a massive, undeniable weight advantage over smaller ones in the center of the ring."

"But there will always be powerful, trained opponents out there with even greater strength and much better physical fitness than you."

"Therefore, you also need to remember some necessary, fundamental techniques and striking methods."

"Whether it is in a sanctioned match or used strictly for street fighting and brutal self-protection."

"Remember this rule above all else: attack the head. Only attack the opponent's head."

"Specifically target the weak points. The jaw, the fragile bridge of the nose, and the soft temples."

"With your specific, terrifying level of strength, as long as you land a clean hit on any of these three spots, you can directly knock out your opponent cold!"

With Eddie's professional, highly lethal guidance flashing rapidly through his enhanced mind, Arthur constantly shifted his feet across the cracked asphalt. He moved forward, backward, left, and right in small, calculated steps, making himself an impossible target to track.

The absolute moment Vince's massive fist swung at him again, Arthur suddenly raised his lean left arm to perform a hard block.

The very next moment, a heavy, perfectly timed counter-punch bypassed Vince's swinging arm entirely.

Arthur's fist went straight for Vince's exposed face, striking fiercely and with absolute, devastating precision.

Thud!

Thud!

Two loud, muffled sounds rang out in quick succession across the empty parking lot. The first sound was Arthur's left arm successfully and forcefully blocking Vince's incoming fist.

Although the exact spot where he absorbed the heavy impact felt a bit sore, it was entirely clear that Vince's raw, unrefined strength was not much worse than Arthur's base physical power.

But with the second, sickening thud, there was a loud, horrifying cracking sound of bone breaking under immense pressure, followed immediately by a shrill, agonizing scream.

"Ah!"

Arthur's angry, tightly coiled punch carried one hundred percent of his newly acquired, system-granted strength.

The devastating punch landed perfectly and squarely on the bridge of Vince's nose.

This hulking brute clearly had not expected the supposedly weak mechanic to actually know some legitimate, highly effective boxing techniques.

The bloody result was that the full-force punch accurately struck and shattered Vince's nose.

Instantly, bright red blood, clear snot, and involuntary tears poured out together, completely covering the muscular man's face in a grotesque mask of pain.

Vince let out a miserable, echoing cry and immediately lost his ability to fight, stumbling backward.

Tsk!

Arthur spat lightly on the pavement, naturally understanding the ruthless principle of pressing a tactical advantage in a street fight.

Looking coldly at Vince, who was currently curling up and about to fall to his knees in agony, Arthur suddenly kicked out with his heavy boot, sending the massive man tumbling hard onto the filthy ground.

Then, looking down at his pathetic attacker, he vividly remembered how his weak, unfortunate predecessor had been inexplicably targeted by this exact same guy, leading directly to a violent fall where he hit his head and likely died from the severe trauma.

Although that tragic event was exactly how Arthur had miraculously crossed over and possessed this youthful body, he absolutely was not going to thank Vince for the lethal opportunity.

Instead, he wanted to violently vent this deep, simmering frustration for the soul of his predecessor.

"Shit!" Arthur spat, stepping closer to the groaning man.

"Weren't you acting all incredibly arrogant just a few seconds ago?"

"Did you really, honestly think you were something special just because you managed to knock me out once with a cowardly sneak attack?"

Tsk!

"Useless piece of trash. You do not even know how to properly chase a woman."

"Let me tell you clearly, I am doing this just to get back at you for what you did."

"What is wrong? Stand up!"

"You useless white pig!"

Kick after heavy kick landed on the fallen man. Arthur had been secretly holding a massive grudge all these days, desperately wanting to seek brutal revenge on this absolute idiot Vince.

As it miraculously turned out, before he could even proactively initiate his planned revenge, this brainless, jealous fool had actively delivered himself right to his doorstep.

He even dared to aggressively block the door and shout racial slurs. Did Vince really think Arthur had absolutely no temper at all!

Arthur watched his own boots as he delivered kick after calculated kick with all his might, targeting the ribs and torso.

After dozens of heavy, unrelenting kicks, Vince was tightly curled up into a ball on the cold ground, breathing far more out than he was taking in.

Although Arthur mathematically knew that with this specific guy's impressive physical fitness, it would not be that easy for him to just die from a severe beating, he had clearly heard several faint, sickening sounds of bones cracking just now.

If his own physical fitness had not received a massive, supernatural boost recently from the addition of dozens of free attribute points, and if Arthur's five senses had not been significantly enhanced because of that boost, an ordinary person might not have been able to hear those cracks clearly over the noise.

Arthur knew perfectly well he had not held back his strength just now.

Vince definitely had at least a few hairline fractures or completely broken ribs from his relentless strikes.

"Tsk, you deserve it completely!" Arthur muttered, his breathing entirely steady.

Who does not know how to ruthlessly bully the weak and use superior power to oppress others?

Karma is a vicious cycle. You are not the only one who can do these violent things on the streets, Vince.

He gave Vince one last, devastating kick to the side, knocking him completely over and sending him sprawling limply to the side of the parking lane.

Just as Arthur was about to step forward, grab him by the collar, and warn him never to go anywhere near Mia Toretto again, he looked up and saw that Vince's eyes had rolled back. The massive man had already passed out completely from the overwhelming pain.

He raised a dark eyebrow and looked critically around the dim parking lot to see that absolutely no one was there.

There were definitely plenty of people currently sitting in the nearby apartment buildings, listening to the commotion.

It was just that this specific neighborhood was far too chaotic and deeply dangerous.

Everyone living here knew it was incredibly dangerous to go out at night, and simply watching a violent commotion could easily get an innocent bystander involved in a gang war.

Therefore, there was a strict, unspoken tacit understanding among everyone in the complex. Absolutely no one came out to watch the bloody show.

Once Arthur visually confirmed the area was completely safe and unobserved, he first pushed his ticking, old motorcycle directly into his invisible Private World.

Although the rusty thing was not worth much money, for the time being, he absolutely could not do without this reliable means of transportation.

Then, he casually took out a pair of clean, white gloves from his dimensional private space.

Lately, he had been regularly taking on quite a few highly illegal side jobs with Old Parker.

To completely prevent any forensic trouble afterward, Arthur had smartly prepared many white gloves in advance to prevent ever leaving his distinct fingerprints behind at a crime scene.

After pulling on the tight gloves, he finally walked over to Vince's unconscious side.

Letting this guy actually bleed out and die right here would definitely cause massive, unwanted police trouble.

Arthur searched the man's pockets for a bit and quickly found his chunky cell phone.

He then dialed 911 and, intentionally disguising his vocal pitch and accent, called for a medical ambulance for Vince.

After doing all this necessary cleanup, Arthur tossed the heavy phone onto the asphalt next to him.

He then walked calmly toward the nearby apartment stairwell and returned to his quiet residence.

A short while later, accompanied by the urgent, wailing siren of an ambulance, a bright emergency vehicle quickly stopped near the old apartment complex.

After a brief bout of noise from the paramedics loading the stretcher, the ambulance gradually drove away into the night.

Arthur leaned casually against the rusted railing on the third floor, taking all of this in from the shadows.

He genuinely did not regret the heavy hand he dealt Vince, nearly beating the massive man to death.

Vince was the absolute, violent core of Dom's close group. These paranoid people absolutely would not dare report this brutal assault to the police.

So next, Arthur's biggest potential trouble would likely be facing a highly dangerous, physical threat from Dominic Toretto himself.

After all, in the other party's angry eyes right now, Arthur had likely not only successfully seduced his innocent sister Mia but also heavily, violently injured his loyal confidant and childhood best friend.

"So, my actual starting difficulty is much, much higher than that guy Brian O'Conner's," Arthur mused softly.

In the cinematic universe of Fast & Furious, Brian was a highly trained FBI agent.

After federal authorities began suspecting that Dom and his crew were the elusive highway bandits who had been causing massive economic chaos in California for several years, Brian went undercover to try and get close to Dom and the others in order to find hard evidence.

The primary romantic breakthrough point Brian actively targeted was Mia.

Because of this specific tactic, he was subsequently targeted and constantly harassed by Vince in various ways.

However, Brian was incredibly patient and was able to endure the constant abuse.

Plus, Dom's other subordinates, and then eventually Vince himself, ran into massive trouble one after another, which conveniently allowed Brian to successfully blend into Dom's team as a savior.

Ultimately, he became a trusted, accepted member of Dom's famous family.

When Arthur had first crossed over into this chaotic world, he had also briefly thought about simply following Brian's established route.

After all, this was a vibrant, parallel world of the Fast & Furious franchise. It would be quite a profound pity not to hang out and race with Dom and the others on the open road.
