I helped the servants organize the inside of the mansion. Perhaps because I helped, the work seemed to be gradually coming to an end.
I didn't know if the original Lord had brought them or if Lao had indulged in luxury—though it was probably the latter—but all sorts of strange items came out.
Strictly speaking, they were items scheduled to be discarded.
Knight statues, potted plants brought from abroad, carpets with gold tassels, chandeliers, famous paintings, and even some household furnishings.
"Is this the Weaverpool Lord's mansion, or a flea market?"
Moreover, there were even stuffed animal figures and knight statues completely naked and striking a 'sun salutation' pose.
What the heck? Is there a demand for these kinds of things?
"But they're all perfect for decorating somewhere."
I was tempted. I asked the servants who were wiping off their sweat.
"It's a waste to throw all these away. Can I take them?"
