I headed to the manor with Piery. I was flying slowly, enjoying the tailwind. The sky gradually darkening made me a bit uneasy.
Adjusting Dawn's speed, I listened to Piery's story. It was truly a winding tale.
I was surprised inwardly.
They said time or space-related abilities were hard to handle. Aren't the side effects on a different scale too?
"To think she was trapped in a twisted timeline. Still, it's a real relief she got out."
I truly thought Piery was amazing. She must have been on the verge of a mental breakdown, but she overcame all of that, didn't she?
"That's incredible. You must have been scared!"
"I was scared, yes. But I gathered my courage. Thanks to Lord's advice."
"My advice?"
"That salvation comes from oneself. That's why I think I found the courage!"
Piery smiled brightly as she finished speaking. It wasn't common for her to smile like this.
She must have felt a great sense of accomplishment, making her happy. If she was happy, I was happy too.
