After seeing off Jillian, who left fully satisfied, Riberra Sami and his crew returned aboard the Spearfish to the dock where the Skylark was moored.
The sea breeze carried faint sounds of hammering from the shipyard district, but Riberra Sami's thoughts were already fixed on the yet-to-be-built new ship.
He jumped off the vessel and hurried toward Tom's workshop.
"Boss, where are you rushing off to?" Aldo called from behind.
"I'm heading to see Mr. Tom. There's something important I need to add to our ship."
Without turning back, Riberra Sami waved his hand.
"Aldo, keep an eye on things—and on Toriji. Don't let it chew on the ropes like a teething toy again."
"Got it, boss."
Aldo patted his chest confidently. Not far away, Toriji—the little triceratops—lifted its head as if sensing something, letting out a muffled grunt while Isaac teased it with fruit.
Riberra Sami strode quickly into Tom's workshop.
The earlier scene of Jillian testing the Dials had sparked an idea in his mind—especially the weapons on Sky Island that utilized Heat Dials. That image had inspired a highly aggressive concept.
Inside the workshop, Adam Wood had already arrived and was being carefully processed by the craftsmen.
Tom stood before a spread of blueprints, discussing details with his apprentices. When he saw Riberra Sami, he burst into hearty laughter.
"Ho! Captain Riberra Sami! Here to inspect our work? The Adam Wood just arrived—we're starting construction today."
"Mr. Tom." Riberra Sami walked up to the large table covered with blueprints. "I need to add two modifications to the ship."
Tom raised an eyebrow, setting down his charcoal pen, clearly intrigued.
"Oh? Let's hear it. Good thing you came early—the main materials just arrived and haven't been cut yet. If you came a few days later, changes would be much more troublesome. Are you sure these are your final ideas? Once the ship is built, making major modifications will cost a whole different price."
"I'm sure."
Riberra Sami's tone was firm. He stepped to a drawing board, picked up a charcoal pen, and began sketching as he explained.
"First."
He marked several points on a cross-section of the ship.
"All main corridors and hatches need to be widened and reinforced. Additionally, I want a dedicated area inside the ship—a spacious, durable, and well-ventilated zone—for housing a new companion."
He paused briefly.
"A triceratops. It needs room to move, a proper waste management system, and reinforced partitions to withstand impacts."
Tom stroked his chin, a hint of surprise flashing in his eyes.
"A triceratops? That's certainly unusual. But no problem—we'll treat it as a special large crew member when designing its living space. And the second modification?"
Riberra Sami's pen tapped firmly at the bow of the ship, sketching a forward-protruding conical structure.
"The second—weaponized ram!"
His voice carried a hint of excitement.
"I don't want a decorative figurehead. I want a heavy-duty ram made of hardened alloy. The structure must be strong enough to withstand high-speed frontal impacts."
Tom studied the sketch thoughtfully.
"A ram, huh? That's a classic design, certainly doable. But with heavy alloy, the bow's weight will increase significantly. We'll need to rebalance the entire ship—possibly adding ballast at the stern—"
"Wait, I'm not finished!"
Riberra Sami cut him off.
"My idea is to embed multiple Heat Dials inside the ram! When needed, we activate them just before impact, heating the entire front to temperatures high enough to ignite wood instantly!"
As he spoke, Riberra Sami took out a Dial and placed it beside the blueprint.
He set down the charcoal pen and looked directly at Tom.
"Think about it, Mr. Tom. On these seas, aside from a few specially built Marine warships, most ships are made of wood. A vessel built from Adam Wood, propelled by Jet Dials, charging at terrifying speed—its bow glowing red-hot metal… what kind of scene would that create?"
The workshop fell silent for a moment, broken only by the crackling of the furnace.
Tom's eyes slowly lit up—the unmistakable spark of a craftsman witnessing brilliance.
"Gahahaha! Brilliant!"
His laughter broke the silence.
"Physical impact combined with extreme heat—this is no ordinary ram. This is a flaming fang for your warship! Integrating Sky Island propulsion with offensive Dials, giving new destructive potential to a traditional design… Captain Riberra Sami, what an imagination! This deserves the ship I'm about to build!"
He grabbed the charcoal pen and quickly added complex internal structural lines to Riberra Sami's sketch.
"Technically, it's entirely feasible! …Hmm, delicate work—but absolutely worth it!"
Riberra Sami let out a breath of relief and added:
"Other than that, all previously agreed requirements remain unchanged—speed, an internal dock capable of housing the Skylark, full living quarters, training grounds, and a brig. Everything should be included."
Tom waved his hand confidently.
"No problem! The dock space and structural integrity were already core elements of the design. The triceratops habitat and this flaming fang will be integrated as special modules."
Then he turned to Riberra Sami, his expression becoming serious.
"Captain Riberra Sami, let me confirm one last time. The triceratops living area, the alloy ram integrated with Heat Dials, and all prior requirements… is this the final form of the ship that will carry your dreams across the seas?"
Riberra Sami had already run through every detail of the ship countless times in his mind—from daily life to combat, from navigation to emergencies.
"Yes, Mr. Tom. This is the final version. Everything has been considered."
"Good!"
Tom slapped the blueprint.
"In that case, leave it to me! Take your crew and enjoy your time in Water 7—or handle whatever business you need to."
He grinned broadly.
"One month! Come back in one month—and take delivery of your ship!"
