[ This is the story of how I became the enemy of the gods ]

A tale of defiance against a destiny that countless people believed was absolute. A tale of betrayal, loss, and choices that should never have belonged to anyone. And somehow, despite everything I had done, despite the blood on my hands and the countless accusations thrown my way, it became a story people remembered as heroic.

Even now, I find that amusing.

Hero

It was a title people loved to throw around whenever they found someone willing to sacrifice themselves for others. A convenient word. A comforting one. The kind that allowed people to sleep peacefully at night, believing that someone else would always bear the burden for them.

The world had always been full of people like that.

People who spoke of hope while standing far away from despair.

People who praised sacrifice as long as it wasn't their own.

People who called suffering noble because they were never the ones forced to endure it.

And above them all stood the gods watching, judging and deciding. As though the lives of countless people were nothing more than pieces arranged upon a board only they could see.

Perhaps I should have hated them from the beginning.

Perhaps it would have made everything easier.

But the truth is that I didn't.

Once, I believed in the world just as everyone else did.

I believed that hardships existed for a reason. That every tragedy carried meaning. That if someone suffered today, then tomorrow would eventually reward them for enduring it.

It was a beautiful lie.

One that shattered the moment I began to notice a simple truth.

The people who suffered the most were never the ones who deserved it. The kindest people carried the heaviest burdens. The ones who smiled the brightest were often the ones hiding the deepest wounds.

And no matter how much they gave, no matter how much they sacrificed, the world always seemed eager to demand more from them.

More pain.

More loss.

More suffering.

More... Sacrifice

As though their happiness was a luxury they had never been meant to possess.

I watched it happen over and over again.

At first, I told myself there was nothing I could do. That some things were simply unavoidable. That fate would unfold as it always had.

Yet every time I accepted that excuse, another person was hurt.

Another dream was crushed beneath the weight of a future nobody had chosen.

A life became little more than a stepping stone for something the world called necessary.

Necessary

I grew to despise that word.

Because behind every so-called necessity was always a person.

Someone with dreams.

Someone with fears.

Someone who wanted to live.

Yet the world never seemed to care.

It simply moved forward, demanding sacrifices while calling itself just.

And eventually...

I became tired

It was the exhaustion that settled deep within the soul. The exhaustion of watching the people you cared about suffer while being told there was nothing you could do about it. The exhaustion of seeing tragedy repeated so many times that others began treating it as normal.

The world called it destiny.

I called it cruelty.

That was the moment something inside me changed.

The day I stopped believing that fate deserved obedience simply because it called itself inevitable.

The day I decided that if the future demanded the suffering of those I loved, then perhaps the future itself was wrong.

It was a selfish decision.

One born from anger, grief, and desperation. A decision that would eventually place me against forces far greater than myself. A decision that would cost more lives than I could ever repay.

Yet even now, standing at the end of it all, I cannot bring myself to regret it.

Because if protecting the people I cared about meant becoming a villain, then I would gladly wear that title.

If it meant being condemned by the world, then let the world condemn me.

And if it meant standing against the gods themselves...

Then so be it.

After all, gods had never been the ones forced to watch the people they loved disappear.

This is not a story about heroes.

Nor is it a story about saving the world.

This is the story of how a single choice, born from the refusal to abandon those precious to me, led me down a path from which there was no return.

The story of how I challenged fate.

The story of how I became a villain and yet somehow the world still called me a hero.
