Chapter 12 - SOMETHING ISN'T RIGHT

Harry hurriedly stepped away from the sword. He had never seen something shine so brightly in his life. For a moment, he felt as if he had almost gone blind.

Just then, the teacher arrived — the same one Harry had met earlier in the school hall.

"Harry, what happened?" she asked.

Harry stayed silent for a moment before replying nervously.

"Ma'am… I think I accidentally activated the rune on the resonance weapon. I apologize."

The teacher looked slightly confused. She knew very well that Harry was not an Aetherbound.

She spoke calmly.

"There's no need to apologize, Harry. That sword probably still has some leftover magic within the rune. When you touched it, it simply reacted."

Meanwhile, on the other side of the academy, Supervisor Daniel Clark had already reached the principal's office. He gave a brief report explaining everything that had happened.

Most of it was ordinary.

Except for the final part.

"The fragment repulsion test…" Daniel said.

He explained how he had tried to identify whether Harry possessed a fragment or not.

Principal Eleanor Graves listened quietly.

She had personally conducted such tests many times in the past. Whether someone was an Aetherbound or a Non-Aetherbound, when energy was transferred into a human body there was always some resistance.

Every human possessed life energy.

Whenever a source of natural energy tried to enter the body, that life energy would instinctively resist it. Even trained Aetherbound showed resistance at the beginning.

But in Harry's case…

"There was no resistance at all?" Eleanor asked slowly.

Daniel nodded.

"It was smooth like cutting through butter."

The room fell silent.

After explaining everything, Daniel suddenly felt a wave of weakness wash over him. His head began to feel heavy.

"Principal… I think I used too much energy during the fragment repulsion test," he said. "My head feels strange."

Eleanor nodded.

"Go to the medical room and have the doctor check you."

Daniel bowed respectfully and left the office.

Once the door closed, the room became quiet again.

Principal Eleanor Graves stared at Harry's file lying on the desk.

Her eyes slowly grew serious.

"Harry…"

She whispered softly.

"There is something strange about you."
