Glock stood up from the cabin, his steps unsteady, and jumped back into the sea through the hole in the middle. The other three saw their Captain take the lead, their blood seeming to boil with excitement, and they all jumped into the sea through the hole.
Haisier's ship had reached the pirate ship. They lowered the sails and moored the ship again. The nearby pirate ship was severely damaged and looked worthless.
Haisier surveyed the surroundings but found nothing unusual. However, this was the most unusual part. Raiden Ei said the pirates were under the pirate ship. Why hadn't they appeared even though they heard the ship arrive?
Haisier said, "Everyone, be careful. They might launch a sneak attack. First, stick torches around the ship."
Everyone placed torches around the ship, illuminating the entire vessel. The surrounding sea surface also became much brighter, but they still couldn't find those few pirates.
Cyrus and the other three searched the stern but found no movement. They then went to search other places. Glock soon emerged from the sea, moving along the curve of the ship, using the hull to hide from their sight.
The other three also surfaced one after another. Glock gestured for them to hide as he did. The three followed suit. A pirate whispered, "Captain, when do we board?"
Glock looked at the ship and thought they could climb it. "Now. I'll go first. Don't make any loud noises."
Glock had no weapons in his hands and climbed up the hull using only his hands and feet. The other three did the same as Glock.
Raiden Ei's Observation Haki had been sensing Glock and the others' positions, so she naturally knew where they were boarding. Now she had two choices: should she inform Haisier and the others?
If she didn't inform them, they would surely be defeated one by one. If she informed them, they could deal with the four pirates together. If one group encountered a pirate, she might have to intervene. If the other, everyone could attack together, and the outcome would be the same.
Raiden Ei still chose to inform Haisier and the others. She walked to Haisier's side and told him directly, "Haisier... The pirates have boarded the ship. They are at the stern."
After hearing Raiden Ei's news, Haisier wasn't flustered. "Understood, thank you, Miss General." Then he ordered Mina and Gatt, "Mina and Gatt, go and notify Nicola and the others to gather here."
Mina and Gatt, who had been near Haisier, heard the news told by White. They dared not delay and rushed off to call people, leaving Haisier to ponder countermeasures.
Not long after, Mina and Gatt brought Nicola and the others to Haisier. Haisier didn't have time to explain and directly stated the combat arrangements.
Haisier said, "We don't have much time. The pirates have already boarded from the stern. I will directly state the following arrangements.
There are a total of four pirates. One of them is very likely Glock, who announced his name, with a bounty of eleven million Berries. The other three are probably not too strong.
We need to stall Glock and then kill the other three pirates as quickly as possible. Do you understand?"
Nicola was a bit cowardly. "A great pirate with an eleven-million-Berries bounty—can we beat him?"
Sang immediately struck back at Nicola's words. "Of course you can't beat him. He's a great pirate who makes the newspapers."
Nicola said, "You..."
Cyrus gathered his courage. "We have so many people here; we shouldn't be afraid."
Geer was a bit curious. "Is a pirate with an eleven-million-Berries bounty stronger than the sea beasts Raiden Ei killed?"
Haisier interrupted everyone. "These are the next arrangements. Geer, your marksmanship is good. Take a few loaded flintlock pistols and provide long-range support. Try to shoot the pirates dead. Eliminate the weaker three first. Don't feel burdened; they are all vicious pirates.
Nicola, Sang, and Mina, the three of you will do the same as Geer, but you must shoot at Glock. The rest of you will take knives and stop the pirates with me to buy time for Geer. Just hold them off.
That's all. Let's act now! Be careful about everything." Haisier took a few minutes to arrange the plan he had just thought of for everyone.
Haisier handed the loaded flintlock pistols to Geer, then took a knife and led the way toward the stern. The others followed suit.
Glock and his three subordinates climbed onto the ship from the sea, which didn't take much time.
Glock observed his surroundings and found no one. "First, let's look for any weapons." They hadn't brought weapons when they jumped into the sea; some were washed away by the current.
The four searched the stern but didn't dare make much noise. There were no good weapons at the stern. They only managed to find four relatively usable water pipes.
Glock was not satisfied and was about to call the three to search elsewhere when he heard footsteps approaching them. He wasn't flustered. Although the water pipes weren't ideal, they were enough to deal with these few rookies. "Stop searching. Someone has delivered themselves to our doorstep."
The three pirates heard their Captain and stood beside him. Soon, Haisier and the others stood opposite Glock.
Glock looked at this group. Based on his experience, these people were very weak and completely incapable of defeating him, even if they held flintlock pistols.
Knowing that the opponents were weaker than him, Glock became arrogant again. "Oh, aren't you the ones who sank my ship? Are you trying to kill me now too?"
Haisier remained calm. "That's right. Are you ready to die?"
Glock and his three subordinates burst into laughter. "You are truly naive! Do you think I will be killed by your cannonballs like last time?"
Haisier's side was quietly adjusting their positions, ready to strike at any moment. "That's not certain. This time, you might be killed by a flintlock pistol."
Glock said, "Haha, are you trying to make me laugh to death? I am someone who has escaped the Navy's encirclement many times. I have long since gone through countless hail of bullets. Hahaha, brothers, charge!"
As soon as Glock finished speaking, he rushed towards Haisier, and the other three followed closely behind. Haisier immediately reacted. There was no time to notify the others. Glock's speed was too fast. Without thinking, he gripped his knife with both hands and slashed forward.
Seeing this scene, Glock became even more convinced of his own guess. Looking at the opponent's knife, it was as slow as an old lady walking. Confidently, he swung the water pipe with one hand, and a 'bang' sound echoed as it cut through the air.
The water pipe struck Haisier's shoulder, fracturing his bone. He fell onto the deck, denting the wood. Haisier didn't even have time to cry out.
The others hadn't reacted in time. Seeing Haisier fall, their minds went blank, and they couldn't remember what they were supposed to do.
Only Geer reacted the moment Glock made his move, but his body couldn't keep up with Glock's speed, and he failed to shoot in time to stop him.
