If I used Conquerors Haki Infusion, I should be able to smash it open with one punch, but this place might be very close to a volcano.
She didn't know if a full-power punch would trigger a volcanic eruption. The strength needed to break this door would be considerable.
That ordinary punch just now had already caused a slight tremor in the ground within the passage. If she used a full-power punch, the pressure on the surrounding rock layers would very likely cause the volcano to erupt directly.
Although she wasn't afraid, being so deep underground would be a bit troublesome, and it was highly probable that no one on this island would survive.
Although she hadn't experienced such a volcanic eruption before, she believed that a mere volcanic eruption wouldn't take her life.
Seeing Raiden Ei retract her fist and ponder before the large door, several pirates timidly mustered their courage, stood up, and shouted at her:
"My lady, please don't smash it! There's a volcano under the sea here. If you cause a big commotion, the volcano will erupt, and none of us will survive!"
Raiden Ei glanced at them. They were terrified, sweat pouring down their faces, whether from the heat or fear, she couldn't tell.
She wasn't too familiar with this area, so since they knew, she might as well ask them: "Oh? You've surveyed the surrounding waters?"
One pirate quickly answered Raiden Ei's question, fearing she might punch again: "Yes! We checked long ago. There's a volcano nearby, otherwise, we would have blown the door open with bombs already. It's impossible to open this door with brute force.
Even if it could be opened by force, it would cause a volcanic eruption, and everything here would soon be engulfed by lava. Everything here would be destroyed.
Besides using a key, we can't think of any other way to open this door."
Raiden Ei didn't think so. The advanced Armament Haki technique, 'Internal Destruction,' could turn this door into dust with one punch; she just hadn't mastered it yet.
"Is there anything else about this place you haven't told me?"
The pirates quickly shook their heads, indicating that was all they knew.
Raiden Ei felt they were no longer needed. Conqueror's Haki Swirled out from her, surging directly towards the few men, and she didn't forget to say, "Alright then! You all can take a nap here!"
The pirates couldn't resist the impact of the Conqueror's Haki. In an instant, they rolled their eyes and fainted, their bodies falling to the ground in the passage with a 'thump.'
Raiden Ei took off her cloak. Although she didn't feel the temperature here affected her body, wearing it in such a hot place was somewhat uncomfortable.
This would hinder her from thinking of a way to open the door. She also took off the mask on her face, revealing her delicate features that hadn't been seen in a long time.
Raiden Ei fanned herself with the mask, her cheeks puffed out, and she let out a big breath, as if this could dispel the heat from her body.
"Indeed, this is much more comfortable."
Raiden Ei casually put the cloak and mask into her system backpack.
But this habitual action made a Khvarena flash in her mind, and she immediately seized this fleeting thought.
Her eyes suddenly lit up; she had thought of a good method.
This made her a little excited. She had been emotionless earlier because she didn't hold much hope for obtaining the treasure.
Treasure that several Pirate Crews had guarded for years but couldn't obtain, she didn't believe she could get it as soon as she arrived. Reaching this point was just as she expected.
But now, she was only one step away from the treasure. As long as her method worked, the treasure here would be hers. They said this was a legendary treasure.
Even in games, the rewards for legendary quests wouldn't be small, let alone in One Piece. How could she not be excited? It was sudden wealth!
Raiden Ei calmed herself: "Phew, phew, calm down, it's not time to get excited yet."
She placed her hand directly on the rock-hewn door, feeling the coolness transmitted to her hand, and with a thought.
The right half of the door vanished from her sight, revealing the world behind it. Her eyes, caught off guard, looked inside.
She clearly saw a huge oval-shaped space filled with various items.
A quick glance revealed gold and jewels stored in large chests, cannons with massive muzzles, piles of swords, spears, and halberds. In the center, there was a stone platform with only a small box on it.
Raiden Ei's mood became excited again, and she couldn't help but curve her lips. She had never seen so many treasures before.
She directly stepped in, but just as she entered the door and took two steps, it was as if some mechanism was triggered.
"Swish, swish"
Two arrows suddenly shot out from the darkness ahead, rapidly flying towards Raiden Ei, reaching her in an instant.
Raiden Ei's Observation Haki suddenly sensed danger. She reacted instantly, taking out kusanagi from her system backpack with a backhand, immediately imbuing it with Armament Haki, and struck preemptively at the two incoming arrows.
"Bang, bang" kusanagi instantly knocked the two arrows away.
Raiden Ei held kusanagi in her hand, no longer feeling the excitement she had moments ago. She observed her surroundings but found no more attacks coming.
"Indeed, danger and opportunity coexist. One must always be prepared."
She continued deeper inside, but her eyes no longer only saw the treasures scattered on the ground, but also the sharp arrows hidden in the darkness.
As Raiden Ei walked to the central stone platform, no more attacks came, but she still didn't dare to relax.
She carefully reached out to open the box placed in the very center, which indicated that the most valuable items were inside.
The box was covered in dust. She directly opened this unlocked box.
"Click"
As the lid was lifted, Raiden Ei finally saw what was inside the box and knew what the most valuable items here were.
There were two Devil Fruits, one large and one small, and a book.
The larger one was a black Devil Fruit with crimson patterns swirling around it, and the smaller one was a green Devil Fruit with blue patterns swirling around it. She didn't recognize the writing on the book.
After confirming there was no danger, Raiden Ei picked up the book from the box, flipped through it, and said calmly:
"This should be some kind of ancient text. It's not something I can understand right now. But since this book is all written in ancient text, when was this place left behind? Hundreds of years ago?"
She put the incomprehensible book back and picked up the two Devil Fruits to examine them: "These shouldn't be ordinary Devil Fruits, otherwise they wouldn't be placed in the very center. I just don't know what kind of Devil Fruits they are. It seems impossible to even tell what type they belong to. These people are really something, not leaving any information behind."
