Chapter 83 - double trouble

Chapter: Double Trouble – 4th Month Madness

(AUTHOR'S POV)

Four months pregnant.

Jay was officially in her fourth month.

Baby Raspberry was growing.

Kicking.

Moving.

Making its presence known.

Mica was now two and a half months pregnant.

Baby Strawberry was growing too.

Smaller.

But growing.

And today—

Today was special.

The whole Section E had gathered.

At the Watson mansion.

To take care of the pregnant queens.

Because when two best friends are pregnant together—

They need an army.

---

The Morning – Watson Mansion

Jay woke up in Keifer's arms.

Blue beside her.

Keifer's hand on her belly.

Always.

She stretched.

Winced.

Back pain.

Pregnancy joy.

Keifer stirred.

"You okay?"

"Back hurts."

He sat up.

Immediately.

"Where?"

"Where does it hurt?"

"Let me—"

She smiled.

"Baby, relax."

"It's normal."

He frowned.

"Normal doesn't mean okay."

She kissed him.

"I'm fine."

"Baby Raspberry is fine."

"Let's go see everyone."

He helped her up.

Carefully.

Always carefully.

She waddled to the bathroom.

Pregnancy walk.

Full force now.

---

The Living Room – Section E Has Arrived

They walked downstairs.

Hand in hand.

Blue followed.

The living room was packed.

Cin and Rakki.

Calix and Mica.

Erdix and Freya.

David.

Eren.

Emman.

Rory.

Mayo.

Kit.

Blaster.

Josh.

Drew.

Denzel, Grace, and Grazel.

Aries and Percy.

Keigan and Keiran.

Even Angelo and Ion had come.

Everyone.

All there.

For the pregnant queens.

The moment Jay appeared—

Everyone stood.

Cin bowed dramatically.

"THE PREGNANT QUEEN HAS ARRIVED!"

Rakki joined.

"ALL HAIL!"

Mica waddled over.

Well— hurried.

Pregnancy walk.

They hugged.

Carefully.

Both pregnant.

Both protecting bellies.

Jay looked at her.

"You're glowing."

Mica laughed.

"You're glowing too."

"Pregnancy glow."

"Both of us."

Jay nodded.

"Best friends."

"Pregnant together."

"Glowing together."

They hugged again.

Everyone watched.

Awwww-ing.

Grazel ran over.

"TWO SMOOOOLS!"

She pointed at their bellies.

"Baby Raspberry!"

"Baby Strawberry!"

"Best babies!"

Jay laughed.

"Best Grapefruit."

Grazel nodded.

Serious.

"Yes."

"I'm Grapefruit."

"Important fruit."

"Like babies."

Everyone cracked up.

---

The Morning Sickness Saga

They all sat down.

Jay on one couch.

Mica on the other.

Both with snacks.

Both with water.

Both with blankets.

Because pregnant queens need comfort.

Cin leaned forward.

"So."

"How are you both feeling?"

Jay thought.

"Tired."

"Hungry."

" Emotional."

Mica nodded.

"Same."

"Plus nausea."

"All the time."

Freya gasped.

"Morning sickness?"

Mica nodded.

"All day sickness."

"Not just morning."

Rakki winced.

"That's rough."

Mica shrugged.

"Worth it."

"For Baby Strawberry."

Jay agreed.

"For Baby Raspberry."

"Anything."

Grazel raised her hand.

"I was baby once."

"Did my mama have sickness?"

Grace nodded.

"So much sickness."

Grazel looked at Mica.

"Sorry, Aunty Mica."

Mica melted.

"Thank you, Grapefruit."

Grazel nodded.

"You're welcome."

---

The First Mood Swing

Everything was fine.

Peaceful.

Calm.

Then—

Jay looked at the curtains.

Frowned.

"Why are those curtains so... curtain-y?"

Keifer blinked.

"What?"

"The curtains."

"They're too... curtain."

He looked at the curtains.

Normal curtains.

Beautiful curtains.

Expensive curtains.

"What's wrong with them?"

Jay's eyes welled up.

"They're just—"

"STANDING there."

"Being curtains."

"Without permission."

Keifer opened his mouth.

Closed it.

Opened it again.

Nothing.

Mica nodded.

"I get it."

"The curtains are aggressive."

Jay pointed.

"RIGHT?!"

"Very aggressive!"

Mica agreed.

"Disrespectful curtains."

Jay cried.

Full tears.

"They don't even CARE!"

Keifer looked at Cin.

Cin shrugged.

"Pregnancy."

Keifer looked at Calix.

Calix nodded.

"Pregnancy."

Keifer grabbed Jay.

Held her.

"Shh, baby."

"It's okay."

"The curtains can't hurt you."

Jay sniffled.

"Promise?"

"Promise."

"They're just fabric."

"Stupid fabric."

She nodded.

Against his chest.

"Okay."

"Okay."

Everyone watched.

Amused.

Terrified.

In love.

---

The Second Mood Swing

Mica was next.

She looked at Calix.

Stared.

Long stare.

Very long stare.

Calix noticed.

Immediately nervous.

"What?"

"Nothing."

"That look means something."

"It means nothing."

"It means EVERYTHING."

Mica's eyes filled with tears.

"You don't love me."

Calix's jaw dropped.

"WHAT?!"

"I LOVE you!"

"I love you SO MUCH!"

"How could you say that?!"

Mica pointed.

"Then why did you look at the TV?"

Calix blinked.

"When?"

"Just now."

"During the commercial."

"I looked at the TV."

"For ONE SECOND."

"And you didn't look at me."

Calix opened his mouth.

Closed it.

Opened it again.

Nothing.

Because—

What do you say?

When your pregnant wife cries because you looked at a TV?

Jay nodded at Mica.

"Valid."

"Very valid."

Mica nodded back.

"Thank you."

"He should know better."

Calix looked at Keifer.

Helpless.

Keifer shrugged.

"Welcome to pregnancy."

Calix grabbed Mica.

Held her.

"I'm sorry, baby."

"I'll never look at TV again."

"Only you."

"Always you."

Mica sniffled.

"Promise?"

"Promise."

"Okay."

"Okay."

Everyone exhaled.

Crisis averted.

For now.

---

The Cravings Begin

Jay suddenly sat up.

"I need something."

Keifer tensed.

"What?"

"I don't know."

"But I NEED it."

"Urgently."

Keifer blinked.

"How can you need something if you don't know what it is?"

Jay glared.

"PREGNANCY."

He nodded.

"Right."

"Sorry."

Cin raised his hand.

"Describe it."

Jay thought.

"Salty?"

"Sweet?"

"Sour?"

"All of it?"

"None of it?"

Cin looked at Rakki.

Rakki shrugged.

"Good luck."

Mica joined.

"I need something too."

Calix braced himself.

"What?"

"Pickles."

"With peanut butter."

"And chocolate."

"On toast."

Silence.

Everyone stared.

Calix spoke carefully.

"Pickles... peanut butter... chocolate... toast?"

Mica nodded.

"Yes."

"All together."

"Now."

Calix stood.

"On it."

He ran to the kitchen.

Keifer looked at Jay.

"What do YOU need?"

Jay thought.

Then—

"Ice cream."

"With fries."

"And ketchup."

Keifer blinked.

"Ice cream... fries... ketchup?"

Jay nodded.

"Yes."

"Don't judge."

"PREGNANCY."

He stood.

"On it."

Ran to the kitchen.

The two husbands.

On a mission.

For the weirdest cravings ever.

---

The Kitchen – Husband Support Group

Calix was making Mica's creation.

Pickles.

Peanut butter.

Chocolate.

Toast.

He looked at Keifer.

"This is insane."

Keifer nodded.

"Ice cream."

"Fries."

"Ketchup."

"Also insane."

Calix sighed.

"We're good husbands."

Keifer agreed.

"The best husbands."

"Insane cravings or not."

Calix finished the toast.

Looked at it.

Doubtful.

"She'll love it."

Keifer finished the fries.

Dipped one in ice cream.

Tasted it.

Paused.

"Actually—"

"Not bad?"

Calix stared.

"You're eating it?"

"Just testing."

"For quality."

"Obviously."

Calix shook his head.

But smiled.

---

The Taste Test

They walked back.

Plates in hand.

Everyone watched.

Curious.

Terrified.

Jay grabbed her plate.

Ice cream.

Fries.

Ketchup.

She mixed them.

Ate.

Closed her eyes.

Bliss.

"Perfect."

Mica grabbed hers.

Pickles.

Peanut butter.

Chocolate.

Toast.

Bit into it.

Chewed.

Tears of joy.

"Calix."

"Yes, baby?"

"You're a genius."

He beamed.

Everyone watched.

Disgusted.

Fascinated.

Aries whispered.

"Is it... good?"

Jay nodded.

"So good."

Mica nodded.

"The best."

Percy gagged.

"Pregnancy is wild."

Keigan whispered.

"Do they taste good or is it hormones?"

Keiran shrugged.

"Both probably."

Grazel raised her hand.

"I want to try."

Grace shook her head.

"No, baby."

"Grapefruit doesn't eat that."

Grazel pouted.

"FINE."

"But when I'm pregnant—"

"I'm eating everything."

Denzel choked.

"You're THREE."

Grazel nodded.

"Planning ahead."

Everyone cracked up.

---

The Third Mood Swing

Jay finished her creation.

Looked at Keifer.

Eyes welling up.

Again.

He tensed.

"What now?"

"You're so good to me."

He blinked.

"I— thank you?"

"You brought me my craving."

"Without judgment."

"Without questions."

"You just— DID it."

She cried.

Full tears.

"Best husband ever."

He pulled her close.

"Shh, baby."

"It's okay."

"I love you."

"Anything for you."

She nodded.

Against his chest.

"Love you too."

"So much."

"Baby Raspberry loves you too."

He kissed her head.

"Love you both."

Mica watched.

Then looked at Calix.

Cried.

"You too."

"You're the best."

"You made my weird toast."

"Without complaining."

Calix held her.

"Always, baby."

"Anything for you."

"Love you."

She cried.

Happy tears.

Both pregnant queens.

Both crying.

Both loved.

Everyone watched.

Melting.

Aries wiped his eyes.

"I'm not crying."

Percy nodded.

"Definitely not crying."

Keigan sobbed.

"THEY'RE SO BEAUTIFUL!"

Keiran patted his back.

"Let it out."

Everyone laughed.

Even Angelo.

---

That Night – Couple Time

Everyone had gone home.

Promising to return tomorrow.

For more chaos.

More cravings.

More love.

Jay and Keifer in their room.

Jay in his shirt.

Blue beside her.

Keifer holding her.

She was smiling.

"Today was wild."

He nodded.

"Very wild."

"The cravings—"

"Insane."

"The mood swings—"

"Many."

"But perfect."

She laughed.

"Best friends."

"Pregnant together."

"Craving together."

He kissed her head.

"Best wife."

"Best Baby Raspberry."

She looked up.

"Love you, hubby."

"Love you too, wifey."

"Forever?"

"Forever."
