"My Lady?" I heard someone call my name followed by a consistent knock on the door.
I groaned lightly in my sleep and tossed to the other side of the bed but the knock only became louder and more persistent.
Who could be knocking so early in the morning? I spread my arms wide open on the bed like a splattered mashed potato before glancing at the door briefly in my tired state.
I rubbed my eyes and forced myself to sit up on the bed.
I was still jetlagged and tired from all the drama that happened yesterday so I had thought that I would rest it out a bit but I don't think that was happening anytime soon.
With sleep induced eyes, I took in the empty bedroom that I had woken up in.
Where is Darren? Didn't he sleep here? Did he sleep somewhere else? Did he leave for an important business perhaps?
Holding that thought and many other questions that flooded my head, I gently rolled out of bed and walked towards the door to open it.
