The kiss left the air between them hot, heavy and charged. Even as the cold night air swirled around them, it did nothing to quench the raging fire in them.
If felt like a heat transfer, Sebastian's finger was still tingling from holding Sarah's slender waist while Sarah felt the arm she used to cup Sebastian's chest burning.
For several seconds after the kiss neither of them moved.
Sarah could still feel Sebastian's hand firmly around her waist, his warmth sinking through the thin material of her dress like fire spreading under her skin. Her breathing was uneven and her lips still tingled from the kiss.
The night breeze swept through the rooftop garden softly, moving the flowers around carrying with it the scent of different flowers combined together and cooling the heat on her cheeks, but it did nothing to calm the strange storm inside her chest.
They stared at each other quietly and intentionally.
