"You are going to do what you do best, Yena," Kai smiled, reaching out to gently brush a dark lock of hair away from her scarred cheek before his hand settled firmly on the hilt of his sword. "You are going to break their front door, I am going to freeze their detonators, and together, we are going to show those overseers exactly why you should never threaten my citizens."
"That sounds like a wonderfully straightforward tactical plan," Yena agreed with a sharp, fearless grin, her amber eyes burning with cold anticipation while she spun her super-cooled obsidian spear into a ready stance. "I am getting entirely too tired of mercenaries using innocent laborers as shields every time they realize they cannot win a fight on their own merits."
