"It's fine. You did your best," I responded, shaking his hand before turning around to leave with Martin right behind me. Making sure the smile on my face did not fall eveb after I had turned and moved away from where he stood closer to the podium. 


Making my way towards the lower part of the hall as I placed my glass on the tray of one of the waiters moving through the hall without picking up another one. Instead my gaze slide towards Carmen and straight through her a cool expression on my face not surprised to see her still talking to Aran.


But unlike before when I had simply walked past them I headed straight towards them. Sliding my hands around Carmen's waist as I watched her turn her gaze towards me with a surprised look in her eyes.
