Chapter 17 - Chapter 17 – Wrath of the Dragon God

After reviving Liliya's father, the entire village stood in silence.

No one dared to speak.

They all knew one thing now…

The man standing before them was none other than Zerathion, the Dragon God.

Even breathing felt difficult because of the overwhelming aura surrounding him.

Zerathion calmly looked at his subordinate.

"Zudar."

Zudar immediately stepped forward and knelt.

"Yes, my lord."

Zerathion's eyes narrowed slightly.

"You threw my wife at my feet earlier… didn't you?"

The moment those words were spoken, Zudar froze.

A terrifying pressure filled the air.

It felt as if the ground itself might break.

Zudar immediately fell to his knees in front of Liliya.

"My lady! Please forgive me!" he said desperately.

"Give me a chance to correct my mistake. If you wish, I can destroy the entire kingdom right now."

Liliya looked nervous.

Even she could see that a powerful demon like Zudar was trembling in fear.

"I-It's okay," she said quietly.

"I forgive you."

Zerathion watched the scene calmly.

"If Liliya has forgiven you… then it's fine."

"But punishment will still exist."

Zudar lowered his head.

"Give me your command, my lord."

Zerathion pointed toward Liliya's younger brother.

""You will shape him into a weapon worthy of my name. Let his power serve me, and ensure he becomes an unstoppable force among my allies ."

"And when he becomes worthy… he will be announced as the next king of this kingdom."

Zudar immediately accepted the order.

"As you command, my lord."

After that, Zudar escorted Liliya's family away safely.

Once they were gone, Zerathion turned toward Liliya.

"Now… shall we go?"

Liliya blinked.

"Go where?"

Zerathion raised his hand toward the sky.

A massive magic circle appeared in the air.

The atmosphere instantly became heavy.

The clouds darkened.

Then—

Three enormous dragons appeared from the sky.

Their wings covered the sunlight.

The villagers stared in complete terror.

Zerathion stepped onto one of the dragons and looked toward the distant capital.

"We're going to take revenge."

"And while we're at it…"

He smiled slightly.

"We might as well destroy the entire kingdom."

Liliya hesitated for a moment.

But she slowly nodded.

"Yes… as you wish."

Zerathion gently placed his hand on her head.

"I like obedient wives."

"Good girl."

The three dragons then flew toward the capital city.

--------

During the journey, Liliya asked quietly,

"Why did you save me?"

"Do you hate seeing people suffer… or was there another reason?"

Zerathion laughed.

"For me, the lives of others have no real value."

"Not even my own followers."

Liliya looked surprised.

"But…"

Zerathion continued calmly.

"There are a few people I care about."

"And now… you're one of them."

He looked at her for a moment.

"As for why I saved you…"

He smiled faintly.

"When I heard your voice, I imagined your beauty."

"And when I saw you…"

"I decided you were mine."

"And anything I like… belongs to me."

Liliya looked slightly embarrassed.

"I see…"

Soon they arrived at the capital city.

Zerathion stepped off the dragon.

"Go," he commanded.

The three dragons immediately flew toward the city.

Within seconds—

Buildings began collapsing.

Fire spread everywhere.

People ran in panic as the dragons destroyed everything in their path.

Meanwhile, Zerathion calmly walked into the royal palace.

Inside the throne room sat the king of the kingdom…

Rakan.

The moment he saw Liliya, he smiled greedily.

"So you finally brought her back."

He threw a few gold coins toward Zerathion.

"Here. Take your reward."

"Now send the girl to me."

Zerathion slowly stepped forward.

The coins rolled across the floor.

But instead of picking them up…

He stepped on them.

Then he walked toward the throne.

Rakan frowned.

"Do you know who you're standing before?"

"You insolent fool."

Before he could say anything else—

A flash.

Rakan suddenly screamed in pain.

His arm fell to the floor.

Zerathion had cut it off without even looking at him.

Then he calmly sat on the throne.

As if it had always belonged to him.

He pulled Liliya closer and gently placed her on his lap.

At that moment, soldiers rushed into the throne room.

They prepared to attack.

But Zerathion simply raised his hand.

The dragons outside suddenly burst through the palace walls.

The soldiers immediately ran in terror.

Soon the kingdom's strongest mage arrived.

His name was Elrad.

The king looked relieved.

"Good! Elrad is here!"

"Kill this demon immediately!"

But the moment Elrad saw Zerathion…

The book in his hands fell to the floor.

His face turned pale.

"T-This can't be…"

He immediately knelt.

"L-Lord Zerathion…!"

Everyone in the room froze.

The king looked confused.

"What are you doing?! Kill him!"

Elrad shouted angrily.

"Are you insane?!"

"You're standing before the Dragon God!"

The king's face turned white.

He immediately fell to his knees.

"My lord! Please forgive me!"

"I didn't know the girl belonged to you!"

"You can take the entire kingdom if you want… just spare my life!"

Zerathion laughed softly.

Then he placed his hand on Liliya's head.

"This girl…"

"…is my wife."

"And you dared to treat her like property."

His eyes turned cold.

"I was already planning to destroy this kingdom."

"But now…"

"You've given me a better reason."

The king began begging desperately.

But Zerathion simply stood up.

"Come, Liliya."

"It's time to go home."

Outside the palace…

The entire kingdom was burning.

Dragons destroyed everything in their path.

By the end of the day, the kingdom had completely fallen.

And from that day onward…

Everyone knew one truth.

This land now belonged to the Dragon God.

After the Kingdom's Fall

The sky above the kingdom had turned dark.

Smoke covered the entire capital as the dragons continued flying across the city.

Buildings collapsed one after another.

People ran everywhere, trying to escape.

But it was already too late.

Standing on the ruined palace balcony, Zerathion looked down at the burning city.

His expression remained calm.

For him, this destruction meant nothing.

Beside him stood Liliya, silently watching the scene.

For a moment, she couldn't even process what had happened.

Just a few hours ago…

She was being dragged away as a slave.

Now the entire kingdom that caused her suffering had been destroyed.

Liliya slowly spoke.

"Is it really over…?"

Zerathion looked toward the distant horizon.

"Yes."

"The kingdom that hurt you no longer exists."

He raised his hand slightly.

The three dragons slowly landed near the palace ruins.

Their enormous bodies shook the ground.

Zerathion turned toward one of them.

"From today onward, this land belongs to me."

His voice echoed across the destroyed capital.

The surviving soldiers and citizens immediately knelt in fear.

None of them dared to resist.

They had already witnessed the power of the Dragon God.

At that moment, one of Zerathion's subordinates approached carefully.

It was Zudar.

"My lord," he said respectfully.

"The remaining soldiers have surrendered."

Zerathion nodded slightly.

"Good."

"Spread the word."

"From today onward, this land belongs to the Dragon God."

"No one will rule here without my permission."

Zudar bowed deeply.

"As you command, my lord."

Zerathion then looked at Liliya.

"Shall we leave?"

She nodded quietly.

The two of them stepped onto the dragon once again.

Moments later, the massive creature spread its wings.

The dragons rose into the sky, disappearing into the clouds.

Behind them, the ruined kingdom remained silent.

From that day onward, the story of the Dragon God's wrath spread across the entire world.

Present Time

Back in the present, Horobi slowly closed the ancient book.

He had finally finished reading the legend.

"Dragon God Zerathion…" he muttered quietly.

Although the book mentioned many dragons, it still didn't contain much information about Abyss.

However, Horobi had learned something important.

Creatures connected to Abyss were related to extremely powerful dragons.

Nearby, Mio and Liora were still practicing their magic.

After some time, Mio suddenly stopped.

She looked a little frustrated.

"Master…"

"Why can't I use water magic like you?"

Horobi looked at her and smiled slightly.

"It's not a big problem."

"You'll learn another magic that might suit you even better."

Mio's eyes brightened.

"Really, Master?"

"Of course."

Before she could celebrate, Liora suddenly laughed.

"Even if that happens, you'll still be weaker than me."

"I'm going to learn a new magic too."

Mio glared at her.

"Who was even talking to you?"

"Keep talking to yourself."

Horobi sighed and chuckled.

"Alright, that's enough."

"It's getting late. We should go home."

Then he looked at the book again.

"There's something interesting here."

"It says a person can learn multiple magic elements."

Mio looked surprised.

"Multiple elements?"

Horobi nodded.

"Yes."

"I'm going to try learning Earth Magic next."

He looked at both of them.

"So be ready."

"We'll practice together from tomorrow."

Liora crossed her arms confidently.

"I'm in."

Mio quickly joined.

"Then I'm in too!"

Horobi smiled faintly.
