Determined to stop her son from making a decision she considered inappropriate and insane, Lady Cadelaria blurted, "how about for my sake? I have a weak heart too, like Sienna's mother. It will be attacked if Sienna takes my granddaughter."
Elias arched his brows. A beast man with a weak heart! "Really, mother!" he exclaimed.
Lady Cadelaria blinked and tipped her chin forward. She intended to double down. "I could have a weak heart. You are not my doctor, you don't know about my health."
From the sidelines, where he was trying to blend into the wall, Timothy muttered, "Actually he does." Elias made sure his parents got full physical health checks every month. Besides, unlike Sienna's mother who was small, pale, coughing and obviously fragile, Lady Cadelaria was the picture of perfect health.
But this did not stop her from trying to act sickly. She put a hand over the right side of her chest and coughed twice more.
