There was no screaming alarm clock in the morning. Sienna had turned it off because her days of waking early to rush to the city had ended. She did not even need to take a trip to the hospital to visit the plague refugees. The vaccine had already yesterday in the night, by now, the people were safe in the knowledge of promised good health and relaxed.
Without the pressure, she slept in, opening her eyes at 9:40 A.M, because of a persistent knock on the door. Rubbing her eyes like a child, she dragged her feet to the door and opened it. "What?" She groaned.
"You are awake, great." Mija said, typing into her phone continuously. Her long nails made loud taps on the screen that irritated Sienna. "We have an issue, a woman holding 8 people hostage, demanding to see you so that you make a decision for her. Get dressed."
Sienna yawned loudly. "It's one woman, can't they call the enforcers?"
