Nya slammed her fist on the desk. "Yes! He may not be a prince in the literal way, but he is a prince to me. He is my only child. Do you have any idea how many years it took me to get him? He is my prince. A prince in spirit. He should be treated as such. His wife demeans him."
Sienna's lips curled into a sharp smile. "Your son is not a prince. He is a grown man. And men who cannot lift a broom are hardly fit to lift stronger responsibilities, especially not crowns."
Nya sputtered, face reddening. "You insult him!"
Sienna's voice hardened. "No, I speak the truth. You have been to my office what...fifteen times now! You always come with reasons more ridiculous than the last. You always waste my time. If your son wishes to divorce, let him stand before me himself. Until then, your petition is nothing but noise."
Nya's eyes blazed, her mouth opening for another protest.
