"Hahaha! Old man Garp! Let's go again!"
Kai burst into loud laughter. Conqueror's Haki still surged within him, and the Emotion Fruit's amplification hadn't faded yet. His voice rang with absolute confidence and domineering presence as he roared at Garp!
He yanked Wado Ichimonji from the sand where it was embedded, his figure exploding forward in a charge toward Garp! Sword energy instantly condensed along the blade once more!
"Fangs Bloodlust!"

With Haki now awakened, Kai unleashed the technique again. On the surface, it looked little different from before—but the aura was vastly stronger. It carried an air of absolute decisiveness, as though nothing could stand against this strike!

Garp laughed heartily when he saw it. Though Kai's attack now carried far greater presence and invisible power, Garp knew Conqueror's Haki mainly suppressed opponents through sheer will and intimidation—it didn't dramatically increase raw attack power. "Hmph! Only an idiot would keep fighting you!"
Kai snorted coldly. After being blasted back, he finally snapped out of it. How could he possibly match Garp right now? Awakening Haki was already a massive win—he wasn't stupid enough to keep asking for more punishment!
As he spoke, Kai withdrew his Haki and calmly walked toward where he had thrown his scabbard earlier. He was done fighting Garp!

Seeing Kai's reaction, Garp was momentarily speechless. He felt a deep shock. Someone with Conqueror's Haki shouldn't back down so easily. With Kai, Garp vaguely felt he hadn't seen through the boy at all!
But everyone had their secrets. Garp wasn't one to pry too deeply. He simply told Kai:
"In the end, I won't teach you how to use or train Haki. Whether you can master it is up to you alone."
Kai didn't press for more lessons. Garp helping him awaken Haki was already an incredible gift. Greed would be unwise—especially after he had rejected Garp's offer to join the Marines. If he had accepted, Kai was sure Garp would have taught him everything. But he wouldn't change his mind just for that!
That very day, Garp boarded his Marine warship and departed—heading back to Marine Headquarters! Luffy, seeing his grandfather leave, jumped for joy!
"Kai! Are you leaving Foosha Village now?"
After everyone else had left the tavern, Makino asked with clear reluctance, her beautiful eyes fixed on Kai—almost melting him with their softness!
"Mm! I still have dreams to chase. I need to become even stronger—so I can't stay here forever!"
Though he hated seeing Makino's sad, pitiful expression, Kai had to say it.
"Is that so… then…"
"I'll come back! And when I do, I'll take you with me!"
Knowing what she wanted to ask, Kai looked at her seriously.
"R-really?"
Makino's eyes widened in shock and joy. She had only wanted to ask when he'd visit again—she never dreamed he'd take her along!
"B-but I don't know anything… I'd just drag you down!"
Makino said weakly. Though she desperately wanted to sail with him, she didn't want to be a burden!
"Heh heh! How could you? When I truly set sail on the Grand Line, Makino-neesan will be the ship's bartender and cook!"
Kai laughed. A cook was essential—Sanji was definitely not joining his crew. Makino was a perfect choice. And someday, he'd find a Devil Fruit for her too—though he kept that part secret for now. He had already shared his dream with her!
"Heh heh! Makino-neesan, you kept saying you wanted to ride in my Phantom, right? Let's go now!"
Kai continued. Garp was gone. He had met Luffy. It was time to leave. Makino had been curious about the Phantom ever since hearing about it—she wanted him to take her for a spin on the sea!
"Really? Yay! Let's go right now!"
Makino squealed in excitement! She immediately turned, wrapped her arms around Kai's neck, and pressed her proud, perky breasts right against his face!

Though Kai enjoyed being buried in softness, he still muffled out a protest—he really couldn't breathe! Right now, he wasn't looking forward to this kind of enjoyment. What he wanted was to experience it on the Phantom…

On the beach, Makino looked around excitedly but couldn't spot anything. She immediately asked anxiously!

Kai laughed. It seemed Makino thought he was joking!
Without further explanation—Makino would see for herself soon enough—Kai pulled out the Phantom's key from his pocket and pressed the tiny remote attached to it!

Two electronic beeps sounded. Then, before Makino's stunned eyes, a fiery red supercar shimmered into existence on the beach—like mist being peeled away, slowly revealing itself!
The moment she saw the Phantom, Makino's gaze was completely captivated. It was too flashy, too cool!
"Wow! It's real! Kai, this is your Phantom? It's so beautiful!"
Makino jumped up excitedly and ran toward the car! She curiously examined its completely novel design—deeply fascinated. Could this strange, ultra-cool sports car really run on water? And Kai said it was even faster on land!
"Heh heh! Pretty cool, right? Hop in—I'll take you for a spin on the sea!"
Seeing her reaction, Kai grinned, opened the door, and invited her in!
"Wow! So soft! It's so comfortable!"
Once inside, Makino kept exclaiming in wonder at every detail of the car!

But when Kai started the engine and the Phantom suddenly shot across the sea surface, Makino screamed in excitement. The speed far exceeded her imagination!
Kai drove Makino across the waves for a full half-hour. She stayed thrilled the entire time—marveling at the massive waves left in their wake, enjoying the sea breeze whipping past, and savoring the adrenaline rush of sheer velocity!
"Makino-neesan! See? I didn't lie—my Phantom's way faster than any warship!"
Kai laughed while looking at the excited Makino beside him. The wind was so strong that her dress had become disheveled—revealing snow-white skin like lotus roots and glimpses of her pink lingerie!
