Sylvia's mother, Selena, spoke through the phone speaker, her voice trembling with urgency.
"Sylvia, come find me. I... Your mom can't take it anymore."
Sylvia froze, her grip tightening on the phone.
"What happened, Mom?"
Caelus immediately stood up, his expression turning serious as he watched Sylvia's face turn pale.
"I don't know," Selena's voice cracked. "Something is happening to me. I-I don't know what to do."
"I'm coming there immediately, Mom." Sylvia ended the call and looked at Caelus. "We need to go now."
They didn't waste a single moment.
They swiftly made their way to where Selena lived, Manhattan.
With their current speed, it took them a few minutes to reach Selena's apartment building.
The moment they reached her floor, Sylvia's heart dropped.
The door was wide open.
That only made Sylvia panic even more.
"Mom!" Sylvia rushed inside and found Selena on the sofa, both hands clutching her head in pain.
