Chapter 11 - chapter 11: school entrance

When Yue Ling arrived at the gates of City A First International Academy, she paused for a moment.

Tall iron gates stood proudly at the entrance, decorated with elegant golden patterns. Security guards in neat uniforms stood on both sides, carefully checking every vehicle that entered.

Luxury cars lined the road—Rolls-Royce, Bentley, Lamborghini—each stopping to drop off students.

The students stepped out wearing the academy's elegant uniforms, chatting confidently as if the entire world belonged to them.

Yue Ling glanced around calmly.

"So this is the famous elite academy…"

She began walking inside casually, as if she were strolling through her own garden.

Unlike the other students who were surrounded by drivers and bodyguards, she walked alone with her hands in her pockets.

Many students noticed her immediately.

Some stared.

Some whispered.

But Yue Ling ignored them all.

Her mind drifted back to memories from her previous life.

Back in her world, she had been an orphan.

No parents.

No family.

No one to protect her.

When she was little, she was often bullied by other children.

But she never stayed weak.

She fought back.

Every single time.

As she grew older, her intelligence began to show.

She learned hacking by herself.

Soon, she became extremely skilled and started earning money online.

That was how she survived.

Yue Ling sighed softly.

"If I used my hacking skills in this world…"

"…there probably wouldn't be anyone who could compete with me."

The system suddenly spoke.

"Host, then why not earn money through hacking?"

Yue Ling blinked.

"Hmm?"

"You could easily solve financial problems and live independently."

Yue Ling immediately rolled her eyes.

"Idiot."

"Why should I live outside when I already have the Shen family mansion?"

The system replied,

"But those are not your real parents."

"You still have your biological parents somewhere."

"Why not search for them using your hacking abilities?"

Yue Ling waved her hand lazily.

"Aiya…"

"Let me ask you something."

"If someone gives you money for free, would you refuse it?"

The system paused.

"…No."

"Of course I would take it."

Yue Ling grinned.

"Exactly."

"Same logic."

"They want to raise me for free, so I'll just live comfortably."

"Who would throw away such a good opportunity?"

The system sighed.

"Host is truly shameless."

Yue Ling laughed.

"Oh?"

"You only realized that now?"

Meanwhile, many students had already noticed her.

Whispers spread through the crowd.

A boy suddenly shouted excitedly,

"Wow! Wow! My sweetheart is here!"

Another student exclaimed,

"How can someone be this beautiful?!"

"Of course she is! The campus beauty herself!"

Someone else whispered,

"The famous Ice Queen of the academy…"

A group of girls stood nearby watching her.

One girl whispered excitedly,

"Did you notice something today?"

"What?"

"The goddess seems different…"

"How so?"

"She looks… lazy."

"But in a charming way."

"Like a fox."

The girl beside her rolled her eyes.

"Oh Minmin, you read too many romance dramas."

"Snap out of it."

Minmin scratched her head awkwardly.

"Sorry, sorry, Chuan."

"I'll go study now…"

The two girls quickly walked away.

Meanwhile, Yue Ling continued walking across the campus.

She glanced around quietly.

The school buildings were massive.

Beautiful gardens surrounded the walkways.

Fountains sparkled in the morning sunlight.

Yue Ling rubbed her chin thoughtfully.

"Hmm…"

"The technology here might be less advanced than my world…"

"But this place…"

She smiled slightly.

"…seems pretty interesting."

As she stepped into the classroom, the noisy chatter inside suddenly died down.

For a moment, the entire room fell into complete silence.

Dozens of eyes turned toward her at the same time.

Shock.

Awe.

Disbelief.

The students stared at her as if they had just seen something unbelievable.

Then whispers began spreading across the classroom like ripples in water.

"Wow… is that really our Ice Beauty?"

"Yes, yes! It seems like it's her," another student whispered excitedly.

"But… something feels different today."

A girl leaned forward, examining her carefully.

"I think our goddess didn't wear makeup today."

"Really?" another student gasped softly.

"But how can she look even better without makeup?"

Several students couldn't help whispering in amazement.

"Wow… how can someone be this beautiful?"

"She looks completely different today…"

Some girls looked surprised.

Some boys stared in admiration.

Yet the person at the center of all this attention remained completely calm.

She walked into the classroom as if none of the whispers around her existed.

Her expression was indifferent, her gaze clear and distant.

To her, the astonished gazes of these students were nothing worth paying attention to.

As Yue Ling walked through the corridor, memories about the academy slowly surfaced in her mind.

City A First International Academy divided students into three types of classes.

The first was the International Class. Most of the students there planned to study abroad. Their lessons were mainly taught in English, and many teachers were foreigners. The students usually came from extremely wealthy families preparing for universities in the US, UK, or Europe. Their activities were things like international debates and exchange programs.

Yue Ling thought lazily, So basically a class for rich kids preparing to leave the country.

The second was the Honor Class, the one Yue Ling belonged to.

This class was reserved for the academy's top academic students. The subjects were harder, the teachers were stricter, and exams happened frequently. Only students with the highest grades or scholarship students could stay in this class.

The original Yue Ling had reached this class through her own hard work.

Since childhood, she had desperately wanted the attention of her parents, so she studied day and night until she finally ranked among the best students.

Yue Ling sighed softly in her mind.

Poor girl… working so hard just for a little attention.

The last was the General Class.

Compared to the Honor Class, life there was much easier. Most students were children from wealthy families who didn't care much about academic rankings. School events, sports competitions, and social activities were more important to them than studying.

Yue Ling clicked her tongue slightly.

Honor class… sounds like a lot of trouble.

Her eyes narrowed lazily.

If possible, I would rather sleep in class.

Then she paused for a moment.

But knowing my luck…

A peaceful life probably won't last long.
