Chapter 25 - Chapter 25: A Small Victory in Sparring, Biscuit Arrives

Heavens Arena, 211th floor, Exclusive Lounge No. 2115.

The training room was silent, save for the low hum of the air conditioning System.

Leo and Yungu stood five meters apart, the air seemingly frozen.

Yungu pushed up his glasses, the gaze behind the lenses becoming sharp.

He slowly lowered his stance, fists clenched, joints making a slight clicking sound.

Leo stood casually, arms hanging naturally. He seemed full of openings, yet one couldn't find a suitable point to strike.

After a few seconds of staring—Yungu moved.

His movements weren't fast; one could even call them steady.

But with one step forward, the floor of the training room actually vibrated slightly!

"Bang!"

His foot hit the ground like a drumbeat!

Immediately after, Yungu threw alternating punches—no fancy feints, no complex footwork, just the purest, most direct attacks!

A left punch aimed straight for the face, followed closely by a right punch toward the chest!

The wind from the punches tore through the air, letting out a sharp whistle!

What an Enhancer is best at is this kind of wide-open, power-over-finesse fighting style!

A hint of appreciation flashed in Leo's eyes.

He saw through Yungu's intention—this was a contest of strength. Although he had only developed his Enhancer skills for a month, he had absolute confidence in his physique.

A slight smile played on the corners of Leo's mouth.

He didn't dodge or parry, but instead—threw out both fists as well!

Four fists collided violently in mid-air!

"Boom—!!!"

A dull, heavy sound, like a sledgehammer hitting an anvil, exploded within the training room!

The shockwave from the impact was visible to the naked eye as it spread outwards, causing ripples to form on the surface of the buffer mats beneath their feet!

Yungu felt the recoil from his fists, his arms going slightly numb.

He was startled, but his offensive didn't stop, and a second wave of attacks followed immediately.

His right leg whipped out like a lash, sweeping toward Leo's waist.

Leo also raised his leg to meet it head-on.

"Thud!"

The collision of shinbone against shinbone produced a tooth-aching thud!

The two of them abandoned all defense, beginning the purest and most violent exchange of blows!

Fist against fist! Leg against leg! Elbow against elbow!

Every collision was accompanied by a heavy thud, and the training room echoed with continuous "bangs," like heavy rain hitting a drumhead!

Yungu's fists fell on Leo like raindrops—chest, shoulders, arms... and Leo's fists similarly pounded against Yungu's defenses.

Five minutes! For five whole minutes, neither of them retreated a single step!

The air in the training room heated up due to the intense exertion, and sweat splattered from both of them, shimmering like crystals under the lights.

The more Yungu fought, the more alarmed he became.

His fists had struck Leo's same spot multiple times—the area of the right scapula.

For an ordinary person, the bones there would have shattered long ago, and the muscles would have torn.

But Leo's skin was only slightly red and congested, without even any swelling.

Even more terrifying was that with every clash, Yungu could feel Leo's punches getting heavier, as if the opponent's body was constantly adapting and strengthening during the fight!

"This guy's physical fitness... is too exaggerated!"

Yungu thought to himself, his breathing already becoming ragged.

"I've trained hard under Master Biscuit for a year, enduring Hell-like training every day to achieve my current physique... but this guy..."

He remembered the words Biscuit often said.

"Yungu, there are many monster-like Geniuses in this world. Don't get complacent just because you've made a little progress; you're still far from it!"

At the time, he hadn't taken it seriously, but now he finally understood.

Leo was also evaluating Yungu's strength.

"As expected of a Disciple taught by Biscuit... his foundations are terrifyingly solid."

He could feel that every one of Yungu's punches contained traces of rigorous training—the way he applied force, the control of angles, and the rhythm of his breathing were all nearly perfect.

This solidity was earned through countless drops of sweat.

"A pity... he's too lazy."

Leo sighed inwardly. He could feel that Yungu's physical potential was far from being fully tapped.

If Yungu had the near-insane obsession that Sophia had, his current strength would be at least thirty percent higher!

But everyone has their own ambitions, and it cannot be forced.

Another five minutes passed.

Yungu's forehead was covered in beads of sweat, and his breathing became heavy.

His hands were trembling slightly—not from fear, but a physiological tremor caused by high-intensity confrontation.

"One last punch!"

Yungu took a deep breath, concentrating all his strength into his right fist.

A sharp light flashed in Leo's eyes. He also clenched his right fist, his muscles tightening like steel cables.

Both charged forward at the same time, their fists colliding!

"Boom—!!!"

This sound far exceeded all the previous ones!

Fine cracks actually appeared on the surface of the sound-absorbing Materials on the training room walls!

The shockwave tore a hole in the buffer mats under their feet.

Yungu retreated three steps, each step leaving a deep footprint on the floor.

He stabilized himself, shook his numbed right hand, and waved with a wry smile.

"Alright... that's enough, I admit defeat."

He took off his glasses, wiped the sweat from the lenses with the corner of his shirt, and put them back on.

"Your physical strength is incredible. In terms of physique alone, I am no match for you."

Leo also withdrew his fist and smiled.

"This body of mine is the result of long-term training, plus a little... special Opportunity, to have achieved current results."

He walked to the wall, picked up two bottles of water, and threw one to Yungu.

"You're not bad either. If you could be a bit more dedicated, you could reach this level too."

Yungu took the water, tilted his head back to take a few gulps, and then let out a long breath.

"Maybe..."

He leaned against the wall, his tone somewhat lazy.

"I still prefer to live a peaceful life. Fighting and killing... doesn't quite suit me."

Leo heard the deeper meaning in Yungu's words, nodded, and didn't say much more.

Everyone has their own path. Yungu has a gentle personality and doesn't like conflict; there's nothing wrong with that.

Not everyone has to pursue the ultimate limit of power.

The two rested for a while, the only sound in the training room being that of drinking water.

Yungu suddenly asked.

"By the way, why exactly are you looking for my Master... after all? Can you tell me?"

Leo thought for a moment and felt there was nothing to hide.

"My Nen Ability training... was all figured out by myself."

He twirled the water bottle in his hand.

"When you figure things out on your own, there will always be omissions and blind spots. I heard that Ms. Biscuit is very good at teaching Disciples, so I want to ask her to guide me for a while."

Yungu nodded.

"Hmm... Master indeed has a lot of experience in teaching people."

He paused, his expression becoming somewhat complicated, as if recalling some unpleasant experience.

"But..."

Yungu hesitated, then finally sighed.

"You should know that my Master's training methods are... well, quite special. During that time, I felt like I was going to die every day when I woke up."

Although it was exhausting and painful—Yungu had to admit that his rate of progress during that period was the fastest in his life.

Leo smiled.

"I know what you want to say. Since I have this intention, I've naturally made mental preparations."

His gaze became firm.

"I'm not afraid of hardship. As long as it allows me to progress, I don't care how tired or painful it is."

Seeing the near-burning persistence in Leo's eyes, Yungu finally understood.

This person was completely different from himself.

He pursued a peaceful life, while Leo pursued the Peak of power.

"Alright."

Yungu stood up and stretched his still-aching arms.

"Then I won't say more. Master arrives in a week; you can talk to her then."

Leo also stood up.

"It's getting late, so I won't disturb you further."

He walked toward the door and waved over his shoulder.

"Thanks for the sparring. I learned quite a bit from fighting you."

Yungu smiled.

"The feeling is mutual."

The door closed gently, and silence returned to the training room.

Yungu stood in place, looking at his slightly reddened fists, and muttered to himself.

"Master Biscuit... I'm afraid you're going to encounter an extraordinary 'Disciple' this time."

Time flew by, and seven days passed in the blink of an eye.

During these seven days, Leo participated in another match.

His opponent was a wild ability user who had only awakened their Nen through 'Baptism' on the 200th floor. He hadn't undergone systematic training, his understanding of Nen was superficial, and he fought entirely by instinct.

Leo didn't want to waste time on such a person.

Three seconds after the match began, he punched the opponent in the chest, knocking him out directly.

Clean and efficient, a victory in one strike.

When the referee declared the victory, the cheers from the audience were deafening.

Leo's 'invincible myth' continued, and his strength also caused the other contestants on the 200th floor to feel substantial fear.

Those who had originally wanted to challenge the newcomer to earn a win quickly put away their schemes.

No one wanted to run into this god of slaughter.

A warm sensation came from the tattoo on the back of his hand.

"[Rank: 27 (91%)] Only 9% progress away from Rank 28."

During this time, Sophia also visited once.

She demonstrated the results of her training over the past few days—'Ten' had stabilized, and she was beginning to try basic applications of 'Ren'.

Although her progress wasn't fast, every step was solid.

Leo nodded and gave an affirmative evaluation.

"At your current rate, in another two months, you can consider signing up for a match."

Hearing this, Sophia's eyes burst with a joyful light.

"Really? Thank you, Master! I will continue to work hard!"

She bowed deeply and then clenched her fists.

"I will definitely win my first match beautifully and won't let you down, Master!"

Leo waved his hand.

"It's not for me; it's for yourself."

Sophia nodded vigorously and left with full motivation.

The eighth day, early morning.

People were coming and going in a constant stream before the grand gates of Heavens Arena.

A petite figure stood before the gates, looking up at the giant tower that pierced the clouds.

Golden twin-tails swayed gently in the morning breeze. On her delicate, doll-like face, a pair of large eyes sparkled with nostalgic light.

Biscuit Krueger, a Two-Star Gem Hunter, stood before the gates of Heavens Arena.

"The last time I was here... was thirty years ago."

She whispered to herself, a smile playing on her lips.

"Time really flies... I'm a bit nostalgic for those days."

She recalled the years of training and fighting here in her youth, those blood-boiling matches, those evenly matched opponents...

"But now..."

Biscuit's smile became somewhat dangerous.

"I'm here to meet the little fellow who wants to commission me, and incidentally, to 'teach' my good-for-nothing apprentice."

She set off toward the gates of Heavens Arena.

The soles of her shoes tapped against the ground with a crisp sound. The sunlight stretched her shadow very long.
