When Alec opened his eyes he was on the floor at his office, for the first time in a long time he felt excited to be at his office, he got up and checked the time and he realized the time had not moved even a minute.
He looked around but there was no sign of the book. Grateful he gathered his things and headed home.
On his way out of the office, he greeted everyone excitedly, the night cleaning lady, the security guard and even some religious people trying to recruit people to their organization. He was in such a good mood.
He finally got to his house and dropped off his things, stripped off his clothes and was about to go into the bathroom when his phone rang, it was Maria, Maria was not exactly his girlfriend but they were just two consenting adult in a situationship. They loved each other enough to officially date buy they had both being hurt before so being totally committed scared them both so they had decided to be in an unofficial relationship instead.
He picked up the phone, "Hello angel"
"I have told you to stop calling me that" Maria said laughing on the other end of the line
"Well what can I say you do look and act like one, so forgive me if I see white and I say white"
Now she was blushing from ear to ear, "Enough with the sweet words, how come you did not reach out to me for the past few days"
"Honestly my love if I told you, you would not believe me"
"Really? Well tell me let me be the judge of whether I believe or not"
"It is not something I can tell you over the phone, you will have to come and hear it in person, I need to see the look on your face when I tell you"
"Are you sure this is not another one of your ploy to get me in bed with you?
"Um, half and half"
Maria laughed on the other end of the line, "Okay, I will see you in 30 minutes, You're home right?"
"Yes I am and please grab chicken on your way home, I have beer" he said and then hung up excitedly. He needed her to come so he can be fully in touch with his reality.
He got into the bathroom and took a really long shower, he needed to enjoy this because he does not know when he would disappear again into that dreadful world.
He just finished dressing up when his door bell rang and he rushed to open it and he saw Maria standing there, she raised the bag of chicken she got, "Half plain, half spicy" she said
"Just the way I love it", he said grabbing by the waist and pulling her in with one hand and then using his leg to shut the door.
He carefully removed the bag of chicken from her hand and dropped it on the table, "I need to eat first before I eat" and with saying that he pulled her in even closer and gave her a very deep kiss like a man that had been starving and suddenly saw food.
She moaned slightly as she parted her lips to grant him full access, and he took the chance to devour her mouth now holding her face with both hands, he kissed her for a while and then he grabbed her thighs and raised her up resting her on his hips as she took charge and intensified the kissing.
He carried her to his bed and slowly placed her down and started kissing other parts of he body as a moan escaped her lips every time he did, soon his head was in between her legs and he went to work.
She grabbed his head and forced his face inside while he continued eating her up and when she could not contain it anymore she pulled his face back up and kissed him, then rolled him over and she was now on top of him, she sat down on top of him and rode him to oblivion and then he turned her again and continued his art till they both climaxed together and he fell to the bed totally exhausted.
They looked at each other and smiled then he pulled her into and embrace and kissed her, "Now I need to eat" he whispered into her ear and she laughed.
They both sat down at the table eating chicken and beer while a movie played on the TV.
"Okay, I think its time you tell me what you have been up to, that intriguing story that you feel I would not believe"
"Are you sure you really want to hear it?
"Yes please tell me this unbelievable tale " she said sarcastically
And then Alec proceeded to tell her all that has been going on with his life, from the troubles at work to when he first picked up the book and then how he found himself in a strange Kingdom, and how he finally ended up as what was supposed to be the highest ranked knight in the kingdom and he was suddenly a big deal there.
At this point Maria was laughing hysterically, "Are you writing a novel or something, or is this some fantasy series you watched recently" she asked looking at him
"I told you, you would not believe me"
"Do you even believe yourself"
"Strange book, strange kingdom, strange rank, please cut me some slack" she said standing up, "I need to use the restroom" and she got into the rest room.
As soon as she left the book suddenly appeared, and he got really scared, "Maria, Maria, he called out but she did not answer him instead the house started shaking again and spun around
"Oh fuck me" he said and when he opened his eyes, he was back in his bed in the dorm
