But if the Nine-Tails went berserk, the consequences... well, slipping away was definitely the best option.

The problem was very simple: how exactly do you escape this battlefield?

Simple question, extremely difficult answer.

Kamishiro could still fight, but his face was growing dangerously pale. He was losing too much blood.

Lightning Release gave him a massive combat boost, but the constant cellular stimulation prevented his wounds from clotting.

The electrical currents were actively accelerating his blood loss. He could already feel a wave of dizziness washing over him.

It couldn't be helped. Coming out of a battlefield like this without a single scratch was impossible, especially considering Kamishiro had plunged directly into the enemy swarm multiple times.

The numbing effect of the Lightning Release significantly dulled his pain, but blood loss was an absolute truth. He couldn't rely on some monstrous, First Hokage-level healing factor to save him.

He was no longer fit for combat. If he passed out from blood loss in the middle of this warzone, his short life was officially over.

The number of Konoha ninja inside the Sand encirclement was shrinking fast. If they were going to run, they needed to do it now.

Kamishiro certainly didn't think he possessed the ridiculous durability of someone like the Raikage.

As a side note, the Raikage was a Naruto character Kamishiro was actually quite familiar with.

A long time ago, he had even written a highly professional thesis titled: "A Comparative Analysis of the Defensive Efficacy Between the Lightning Release Armor and the Barrier-Barrier Fruit."

"Kushina-sensei, you are the enemy's primary target. Staying here is a terrible idea. We need to run," Kamishiro stressed again.

"And I'm asking how we run!" Kushina's frustration didn't lessen.

Of course she knew it was time to leave. Watching Konoha ninja die one after another just to protect her was agonizing.

If only Minato were here. With his jutsu, they could leave whenever they wanted and go wherever they pleased.

Just as she was thinking of Minato, Kamishiro spoke up again.

"I have another 'not-a-solution' solution to get us out of here."

"What is it?" Kushina asked.

To be fair, Kamishiro's last "not-a-solution" had worked spectacularly. He had literally blown Shukaku off the battlefield and shifted the entire balance of power.

"I can fly," Kamishiro stated with absolute, deadpan seriousness.

He didn't mean "fly" in the traditional sense, nor was he planning some unconventional, levitation-style movement.

First off, the environment wasn't suited for that. More importantly, after a solid minute of rapid-firing his Railgun, he didn't have the electrical capacity left to sustain a high-energy, long-distance flight.

If he only flew a short distance and burned out his stamina, they would still end up as sitting ducks.

For the same reason, he abandoned the idea of firing a few more blasts at the surrounding Sand ninja. He calculated that no matter how high his attack power was, he simply couldn't clear the field.

However, because Kushina had just been thinking about Minato, hearing the word "fly" naturally made her think of that S-rank Space-Time Ninjutsu.

"The Flying Thunder God? I thought you hadn't spent much time with Minato. When did you learn an ultra-advanced jutsu like that?"

Did Kamishiro know the Flying Thunder God? Sorry, but he absolutely didn't.

But sometimes, people have dangerously suicidal ideas. Right now, Kamishiro was one of those people.

"You misunderstood. I only have the 'Flying', not the 'Thunder God'. To be precise, Space-Time Ninjutsu is complex, but it's not impossible for a ninja to attempt."

"Though, if a ninja has bad luck, they might just die trying."

Hearing Kamishiro phrase it like that, Kushina instantly realized what jutsu he was talking about.

"Are you talking about the Reverse Summoning Jutsu?!"

He sure was. The Summoning and Reverse Summoning jutsu were indeed Space-Time techniques.

But attempting a Reverse Summoning without a contracted Summoning Beast was exactly as Kamishiro described: if your luck was bad, you just died on the spot.

If it were safe, it would be the ultimate, mandatory escape jutsu for every ninja.

Kamishiro was already preparing his hand signs.

"Relax, Kushina-sensei. I've made some improvements to this jutsu..."

This was actually true. Long ago, he had wondered how to escape if he ever got surrounded. He discovered the Reverse Summoning Jutsu... and naturally began tinkering with it.

Of course, due to his lack of theoretical knowledge, no one actually knew if the improvements worked.

Kamishiro had never tested it before. He looked confident, but the actual result? Ha. God only knew.

"Theoretically speaking, this jutsu can transport one person just as easily as two. It should also guarantee that both the casting process and the final destination remain in a stable spatial dimension."

"Theoretically speaking, it's a perfectly safe jutsu."

Listening to him say "theoretically speaking" over and over again completely destroyed any sense of reassurance Kushina had.

"Kamishiro, you—"

Before Kushina could finish her sentence, Kamishiro rapidly completed the hand signs and grabbed her arm.

And just like that, the Sand ninja realized their primary target had completely vanished from the battlefield...

When Kamishiro opened his eyes again, his first priority was suppressing a splitting headache as he looked around.

Kushina wasn't beside him. However, he wasn't too worried about her safety.

He was perfectly fine, which meant his modifications to the jutsu were successful. Theoretically speaking, Kushina should be fine, too.

Yes, theoretically speaking.

Glancing around, Kamishiro found himself in an unknown dimension.

Exhaustion and pain were constantly assaulting his brain. The dozen or so wounds on his body weren't deep, but the blood loss was severe.

Using his limited medical knowledge, Kamishiro confirmed the immediate area was safe before tending to his injuries.

His blood loss had reached critical limits. He was still conscious, but for safety's sake, he absolutely could not use Lightning Release again anytime soon.

Without Lightning Release, Kamishiro's combat power plummeted drastically. Fortunately, this dimension seemed relatively safe.

Unfortunately, Kamishiro didn't realize that simply thinking "this is safe" was the ultimate, universe-triggering death flag.
