The heavy iron doors of the Fleshcraft Tower laboratory locked with a firm mechanical click as Kale Ardentis and Grandmaster Lazek Oberon returned from the subterranean aqueducts.
The research room's quiet atmosphere welcomed them, lit by the soft orange glow of the Ignis Core pulsing steadily in its glass vat near the central stone table.
Kale unsealed his heavy leather coat and set it on the central stone workbench. Inside, the pristine central water node, extracted from the deceased Azure Leviathan, radiated a serene cobalt light that cooled the laboratory's ambient temperature within seconds and dispelled the remaining humidity.
Beside the glowing water sample lay the sealed jade tube recovered from the unconscious House Morrow assassin. Lazek picked up the tube with a calm motion, inspecting the runic seal blocking its brass cap with his dark analytical eyes as he stepped closer.
