The place Aurora was heading to was not far from the Hay Cafe; it only took a few blocks to get there, and soon a rather spectacular building came into view.
'This is truly where the dream begins.'
Aurora gazed solemnly at the massive oak tree; this was the Golden Oak Library, which would be Twilight Sparkle's future home in Ponyville.
It was a building converted from a short, stout, hollowed-out tree that looked perfectly natural, and everything was exactly as Aurora remembered it, right down to the beehive hanging on the trunk.
So, that beehive was already there at this time.
It was a pity that the Golden Oak Library was blasted to pieces by Tirek in the season four finale; when she watched it back then, it broke Aurora's heart, even through the screen.
She didn't have a choice before, but if she had the chance to be here in person this time, she would not let Tirek destroy even a single leaf here.
"Is this... a Library?!"
At first, Twilight Sparkle was just amazed by the unique design of this treehouse, as such a building could not be seen in Canterlot.
But then she saw the signpost at the entrance of the treehouse, which had a picture of a book on it, indicating that this was a Library.
Twilight Sparkle already quite liked this treehouse... now she liked it even more. She couldn't wait to push the door open and walk inside.
However, Sunset Shimmer's expression was not as bright as theirs; she should have guessed that a place liked by two nerds would definitely be a Library.
"Are you sure we should spend our precious travel time reading in a Library? Isn't that what we're always doing anyway!"
"Oh, come on, First Senior Sister, this isn't just an ordinary Library, this is the Golden Oak Library."
"I know its design is unique, but isn't it still just a Library?"
"Exactly because it's unique, we have to go in and take a look."
After saying this, Aurora entered the Golden Oak Library.
She couldn't explain her feelings for the Golden Oak Library to Sunset Shimmer, but as a fan of the show, she had to visit this place.
Seeing that she couldn't persuade these two bookworms, Sunset Shimmer sighed helplessly and had to resign herself to following them in.
Anyway, a small-town Library's collection definitely couldn't compare to the magic Library in Central City; once they took a look around and didn't find any books they were interested in, they would surely want to leave quickly.
The interior layout of the Library was not quite the same as in Aurora's memory; after all, Twilight Sparkle hadn't moved in yet, so it lacked much of the living atmosphere belonging to Twilight Sparkle and Spike, but the general structure still showed traces of what was in the show.
The librarian currently in charge was an elderly lady who seemed to be taking a nap; she had just hung a sign on the table to indicate the procedure for visiting ponies, while she herself was reclining in a lounge chair for a nap.
It was unclear if it was because not many ponies usually came to the Library, or because the local customs were so simple and honest, but the Ponyville librarian could actually be this laid-back.
However, this atmosphere was indeed very relaxing for visitors; since the librarian didn't mind, they wandered around as they pleased.
Aurora and Twilight Sparkle huddled in a corner, whispering to each other about the books on the shelves, while Sunset Shimmer just took one look and didn't intend to join them.
She could guess with her hooves what nerds would talk about when they got together; it was better to go elsewhere and wait for them to satisfy their curiosity.
