Chapter 136 - 136: An Embarrassing Outfit

Sol sat cross-legged on the bed, eyes closed as he focused, sending a telepathic message to Muzan and the others.

"Tonight at midnight, gather at my location. Stay hidden and do not let anyone notice you."

Muzan's respectful voice soon replied, "Understood. We are already spread across this world and ready at any time."

Kokushibo's deep voice followed, "Are you safe? Do you require assistance?"

"No need. I can handle it," Sol answered calmly. "Just be here tonight."

Before he could continue, an impatient voice rang from outside the door.

"Rookie! Are you done changing yet? Why is it taking so long?"

Sol opened his eyes and quickly grabbed the T-shirt Tatsumaki had given him, pulling it over his head. "Almost done!"

"Too slow!"

The doorknob turned.

"I'm coming in!"

"Wait, I'm not, "

The door swung open.

Tatsumaki froze on the spot.

Sol was midway through putting on the shirt, the fabric caught at his shoulders, leaving his upper body exposed. His bandaged abdomen was still visible, along with the defined lines of his muscles under the sunlight.

"You idiot! Why aren't you dressed yet?" Tatsumaki snapped, her ears turning red as her green curls flared.

She spun around and slammed the door shut.

"Get dressed in three seconds! Or I'll throw you out the window!"

Sol shook his head and pulled the shirt down properly.

The cartoon T-shirt looked ridiculous on him. It clung tightly to his frame, outlining every contour, while the hem barely reached his waist.

The pants were even worse. They fit like tight capris, restricting every movement.

"I'm done," Sol said as he opened the door.

Tatsumaki stood with her back to him, her ears still slightly red.

She turned, looked him up and down, then burst into laughter.

"Hahaha! Rookie, what is that? You look ridiculous."

Sol spread his hands. "Not my fault. Your clothes are too small."

Her laughter stopped instantly. Her hair lifted again.

"Are you complaining about my clothes?"

She floated up to him and jabbed his chest with her finger.

"These are limited edition!"

"Ow, that hurts," Sol said, stepping back slightly, deliberately acting like his wound had been disturbed.

Tatsumaki froze. A flicker of panic crossed her face.

"Idiot… who told you to move like that?"

She quickly pulled her hand back and turned away.

"I just didn't want you stretching out my shirt."

Sol glanced down at the tight fabric. "Maybe I should just take it off."

The moment he said that, her hair flared violently.

"Don't you dare!"

She spun back, pointing at him, her finger nearly touching his nose.

"Wear it properly! You're not walking around shirtless in my house."

Sol raised his hands. "Alright, I'll keep it on."

He looked down again. "But can I really go outside like this?"

"Just deal with it for now. I'll take you to buy clothes," she said, floating closer. "Let's go."

Sol sighed, glancing at his outfit. "Like this?"

"What, are you embarrassed?" she asked, hands on her hips.

Before he could answer, a sharp beeping sound came from the table.

Tatsumaki's communicator lit up and floated into her hand.

"Hello?"

"Miss Tatsumaki, the Hero Association is holding a meeting. All S-Class heroes must attend, including the person you brought back last night."

Her hair flared immediately.

"What do you mean brought back secretly? I brought him back openly!"

The voice on the other end faltered. "Y-yes, of course. The meeting begins in one hour."

"Got it."

She ended the call, a brief hint of unease crossing her face.

When she turned, she found Sol staring at her with an amused expression.

"What are you looking at?" she snapped, her ears reddening again.

Sol gestured at his outfit. "You really want me to attend a meeting dressed like this? It might leave an impression."

"Hmph. It's better than being naked."

She turned to the wardrobe, rummaging through it with her psychic power.

"What a hassle…"

After a moment, she pulled out a slightly larger jacket and tossed it to him.

"Wear this."

Sol slipped it on, finally gaining a bit of dignity.

Tatsumaki floated toward the window. "We're leaving. We're already short on time."

A green glow wrapped around Sol as her psychic power lifted him off the ground. A barrier formed around them, shielding them from the wind.

In the next moment, they shot into the sky.

Soon, they descended in front of the Hero Association headquarters.

The guard at the entrance glanced at Sol's outfit and hesitated.

Tatsumaki shot him a sharp look. "Don't stare."

He immediately straightened and looked forward.

At the meeting room entrance, a staff member greeted them, then froze when he saw Sol.

"Miss Tatsumaki… the meeting is about to begin…"

His eyes lingered on Sol's appearance, clearly unsure what to say.

"Is there a problem?" Tatsumaki asked coldly.

"No, none at all," he said quickly. "Please, go in."

Inside the meeting room, all S-Class heroes turned to look as Tatsumaki floated in with Sol.

"Rookie, what happened to you?" Metal Bat called out, resting his bat on his shoulder as he looked Sol over. "Did that armored guy mess you up? And what's with that outfit?"

He paused, glancing at Tatsumaki, the implication obvious.

Sol let out a sigh. "Yeah, this is Tatsumaki's…"

Before he could finish, Tatsumaki's body stiffened, clearly realizing exactly how that sounded.
