Inside the command center, Sitch's face turned grim after hearing Muzan's repeated refusal to deploy.
He slammed his fist against the console.
"Damn it! What exactly is he trying to do?!"
Bang pulled his gaze away from the battlefield display, his brows tightly furrowed.
"Muzan's actions are suspicious, but this isn't the time to focus on that. Elder Centipede and Gouketsu are both on the battlefield, the pressure from the front line is overwhelming."
Sitch immediately issued another command.
"All heavy artillery, focus fire on Elder Centipede's joints! Create openings for Bang and the others!"
Drive Knight's cold mechanical voice responded at once.
"Understood. Recalculating trajectories. All turrets and missile arrays, lock onto Elder Centipede's leg connections."
On the battlefield, Elder Centipede's enormous body twisted violently through the ruins. Its countless legs swept across the ground like giant blades, tearing apart entire sections of the city.
It opened its massive jaws and unleashed streams of corrosive venom.
The heroes scattered to evade the attack as the defensive line shrank further.
"So annoying!" Tatsumaki snapped.
Her green psychic aura flared brightly as dozens of massive concrete slabs were ripped from the ground and launched like meteors toward Elder Centipede's head and body joints.
Boom!
The relentless impacts forced Elder Centipede to release a painful screech, its movements briefly slowing.
"Now!"
Atomic Samurai entered a state of absolute focus. A sharp glint flashed across his eyes before his figure vanished.
In the next instant, he appeared beneath one of Elder Centipede's legs.
"Atomic Slash!"
A dense storm of sword light exploded outward, carving hundreds of deep cuts into the creature's hardened shell as green blood sprayed everywhere.
Flashy Flash moved like a phantom across the battlefield, targeting the cracks Tatsumaki created and the wounds Atomic Samurai had opened.
His blade pierced directly into the gaps in the armor, widening the damage with deadly precision.
Meanwhile, Bang stood firmly before Gouketsu like an immovable wall.
His Water Stream Rock Smashing Fist flowed flawlessly, redirecting Gouketsu's devastating blows again and again.
"Your opponent is me," Bang said firmly.
A sharp side kick struck Gouketsu's knee, making the massive monster stagger slightly.
Gouketsu roared furiously, all four eyes locked onto Bang.
"Old man, stop getting in my way!"
His fists crashed down like artillery shells, each strike shattering the ground beneath them.
Yet Bang moved through the attacks effortlessly, like flowing water slipping through cracks. Every dodge was perfectly timed, every counter precisely placed.
His palms, fists, and fingers continuously struck Gouketsu's joints, pressure points, and old wounds. The damage wasn't fatal, but it constantly disrupted Gouketsu's movements and prevented him from unleashing his full power.
Elsewhere, Metal Bat rampaged through the monster horde.
Each swing of his bat crushed bones and sent monsters flying.
"Leave this side to me! Focus on the big bastard!" he roared while smashing apart another monster trying to break through the line.
Above the battlefield, Genos hovered in the air as his incineration cannons continuously fired blazing energy blasts, wiping out groups of weaker monsters and easing the pressure on the ground forces.
Nearby, Saitama casually punched away incoming attacks and wandering monsters with a bored expression.
"Feels like there's nothing for me to do."
Child Emperor's urgent voice suddenly echoed through the communication channel.
"Warning! Elder Centipede is preparing a sweep attack! All units evade immediately!"
"Like hell it is."
Tatsumaki raised both hands sharply.
Boom!
An invisible force violently twisted Elder Centipede's massive head upward, forcing another agonized screech from the monster.
"Nice one, Tatsumaki!" Atomic Samurai shouted.
He immediately rushed forward again, focusing all his attacks on the same damaged leg joint.
Crack!
After countless accumulated slashes, the gigantic leg finally snapped off.
Elder Centipede released a deafening roar as green blood erupted from the severed limb. Its colossal body writhed violently, tearing apart the surrounding ruins in agony.
"Perfect opening!" Flashy Flash blurred forward and slipped directly into Elder Centipede's body through the exposed wound.
Bang immediately shouted,
"Atomic, cover Flashy!"
Atomic Samurai instantly repositioned near the opening, his blade creating a wall of flashing steel that sliced apart the regenerating flesh and smaller appendages attempting to block the entrance.
Moments later, muffled explosions echoed from inside Elder Centipede's body, followed by even more desperate shrieks.
Clearly, Flashy Flash was wreaking havoc internally.
Seeing Elder Centipede injured, Gouketsu became even more aggressive, desperately trying to break past Bang and assist it.
But Bang stuck to him relentlessly.
The mastery of Water Stream Rock Smashing Fist completely neutralized Gouketsu's overwhelming strength, leaving the monster increasingly frustrated.
Then suddenly, another figure burst onto the battlefield.
A massive uppercut slammed directly into Gouketsu's jaw.
It was Superalloy Darkshine.
"Mr. Bang! I'll back you up!" Darkshine shouted confidently.
Caught off guard, Gouketsu's head snapped backward from the sheer force of the punch as he stumbled half a step.
Bang seized the opportunity instantly.
He redirected Gouketsu's arm and thrust two fingers directly into the old wound on Gouketsu's back, the same injury previously created by their combined assault.
Pfft!
The concentrated force pierced deep into the wound.
Gouketsu groaned in pain as the barely healed injury burst open once again.
His movements noticeably slowed.
Darkshine didn't waste the opening.
Charging forward like a human tank, he unleashed a barrage of devastating punches into Gouketsu's chest and abdomen.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
The heavy impacts echoed across the battlefield like war drums.
For a moment, Gouketsu could do nothing except defend himself as he was driven backward repeatedly.
On the opposite side, Elder Centipede's internal injuries were finally taking effect.
Its enormous body twisted violently before Flashy Flash shot back out through the wound.
He landed smoothly despite being covered in green slime, his expression as cold as ever.
Elder Centipede's movements had clearly slowed down. Blood continuously poured from its severed limb and countless other wounds.
"It's almost finished!" Atomic Samurai shouted.
"Keep pushing!"
Tatsumaki gathered several enormous chunks of rubble once more, preparing to end the battle.
But at that moment, the situation changed again.
Elder Centipede suddenly released a piercing shriek as its gigantic body curled inward.
Its massive shell produced sharp cracking sounds, as if something inside was building pressure.
Child Emperor's voice rang out urgently.
"Warning! Abnormal energy levels detected!"
Then it happened.
Countless streams of high pressure green venom erupted from the gaps in Elder Centipede's shell, spreading across the battlefield like a deadly storm.
