Chapter 267 - 267: Jogo’s Challenge

Jogo waved his hand impatiently. "I don't need the Prison Realm to take down Gojo Satoru."

"This matter requires careful consideration. We need to wait for the most suitable opportunity..." Suguru Geto began.

Before he could finish, Jogo abruptly stood up. The legs of his chair scraped against the floor with a piercing screech.

"Wait? How much longer are we supposed to wait?" Jogo snapped. "I should be the one to go. It's the perfect chance to test my newly increased power!"

Suguru Geto looked up at him, seemingly unsurprised.

"Oh? You're that confident?"

"I've never felt better."

Jogo clenched his fists. Scorching Cursed Energy rippled around him, subtly distorting the air inside the café.

"Lately, for some reason, the limits of my power have risen. Everything feels smoother, stronger. The destructive force is greater than ever. What better way to test it than against Gojo Satoru?"

Suguru Geto narrowed his eyes thoughtfully.

"The limits of your power increased, huh?"

His fingertip tapped lightly against the table.

"Recently, the activity of Cursed Spirits has risen across the board. Some Jujutsu Sorcerers have also reported subtle increases in strength. All signs point toward the same conclusion. It's as though the world's upper limit has quietly expanded."

His gaze swept across the Special Grade Cursed Spirits gathered in the room.

"Phenomena like this are rare. They usually accompany the appearance of something extraordinary, whether an event or an individual. Do any of you know the cause?"

Hanami slowly shook its head.

Dagon blinked its large eyes, clearly confused.

Jogo frowned.

"Who knows? Maybe some ancient human powerhouse finally died, or maybe an incredible new Cursed Spirit appeared. Doesn't matter. More power is always a good thing."

His focus immediately returned to the matter at hand.

"So let me go. I'll deal with Gojo Satoru."

Suguru Geto considered the request for a moment before his familiar smile returned.

"Very well, since you're so determined. But remember, our primary objective is still to find an opportunity to seal Gojo Satoru and gather information about his understanding of these recent changes."

His tone became more serious.

"Focus on probing him. Do not get drawn into an extended battle."

"Yeah, yeah. I got it."

Jogo answered casually, though his fighting spirit was already blazing.

Without another word, he turned and strode toward the exit.

"Just wait for my good news."

Suguru Geto watched him leave without attempting to stop him. He simply picked up his coffee cup and took a sip.

"The balance of the world is shifting..."

A strange light flickered in his eyes.

"Will you be the source of it, Gojo Satoru? Or has a variable appeared that even the Six Eyes failed to notice?"

The bell above the café door jingled as Jogo pushed it open and disappeared into the bustling streets beyond.

Silence settled over the shop.

Suguru Geto stared into the dark liquid inside his cup, his thoughts drifting elsewhere.

Meanwhile, at Tokyo Jujutsu High.

On the training grounds, Yuji Itadori and Megumi Fushiguro were engaged in hand-to-hand sparring.

Sweat soaked Yuji's tracksuit as he launched punch after punch, each strike cutting through the air with force. Yet every attack was effortlessly neutralized by Megumi's precise footwork and disciplined defense.

"No good, Itadori. Your movements are too straightforward!" Nobara Kugisaki called from the sidelines while examining her nails.

Then she shouted toward Megumi.

"And stop doing nothing but dodging!"

A short distance away, beneath the shade of a tree, Sol stood quietly watching.

His eyes followed every movement, every shift in weight, every flow of Cursed Energy.

To him, their techniques were rough and inefficient, riddled with openings.

"Haa... haa..."

Yuji finally stopped and rested his hands on his knees.

"Megumi, you're way too slippery."

Megumi adjusted his breathing.

"Your attacks are too predictable. You need more variety."

"Break time."

Nobara tossed over two bottles of water.

Yuji caught one and drank several large gulps before turning toward Sol.

"Sol! How about sparring with me? That move you used before was awesome!"

Sol stepped out from the shade and shook his head.

"My methods aren't suitable for you."

"Huh? Just give it a try."

"Your foundation isn't strong enough yet."

His voice remained calm.

"Master what Megumi is teaching you first."

Yuji looked disappointed but nodded anyway.

"Alright..."

At that moment, Sol's gaze shifted toward the southeast.

He looked into the distance for a brief moment before withdrawing his attention.

A powerful source of Cursed Energy was rapidly approaching the Tokyo metropolitan area.

Violent.

Scorching.

Filled with killing intent and an overwhelming desire to fight.

Its target was obvious.

Gojo Satoru.

Sol immediately reached that conclusion.

By this world's standards, the approaching presence ranked among the strongest. To him, however, it remained insignificant.

He had no intention of interfering.

This was Gojo Satoru's matter.

It was also part of this world's natural course of events.

All he needed to do was observe and ensure Yuji and the others remained safe if necessary.

After the afternoon classes ended, the four first-year students were preparing to head to the cafeteria.

Suddenly, Gojo Satoru appeared at the end of the corridor.

He wore his usual round sunglasses and carried his familiar carefree smile. Yet there was a subtle sharpness hidden beneath his relaxed demeanor.

"Yo, kids."

He waved casually.

"Your amazing teacher has something important to take care of tonight, so evening training is canceled. Use the time however you want, and don't forget your reports."

He pointed directly at Yuji.

"Gojo-sensei, where are you going?" Yuji asked curiously.

"To deal with a particularly noisy little pest."

Gojo grinned.

His tone remained light, as though discussing an everyday errand.

"I'll be back soon."

As he finished speaking, his gaze briefly landed on Sol.

Though hidden behind dark lenses, the look carried a hint of curiosity and expectation.

The next instant, Gojo vanished.

"Gojo-sensei always comes and goes like a ghost," Nobara remarked.

"Let's go eat!" Yuji immediately declared.

Sol said nothing.

He merely glanced toward the direction Gojo had departed.

His perception could clearly follow Gojo's movements as the strongest sorcerer accelerated toward the source of the blazing Cursed Energy.

A battle was about to unfold in an abandoned area on the outskirts of the city.

The outcome was obvious.

That night, Sol stood alone beside his dormitory window.

Tokyo's lights shimmered beneath the dark sky.

His perception spread outward like an invisible web, enveloping the entire city.

At the edge of Tokyo, within a ruined district, two immense sources of power collided.

One represented the untouchable Limitless.

The other burned like a raging inferno capable of melting steel.

The battle was fierce.

It was also short.

Jogo's attacks crashed against an invisible barrier, unable to touch Gojo Satoru no matter how fiercely he attacked.

Gojo's responses, meanwhile, appeared casual and effortless.

Yet every strike carried overwhelming superiority.

Absolute power.

Before long, Jogo's blazing Cursed Energy began to fade like a dying flame exposed to a powerful wind.

Eventually, Hanami intervened and rescued him.

Gojo's aura settled.

An instant later, he disappeared from the battlefield.

Sol withdrew his perception and looked out over the city in silence.

Just as expected.

Even though the world's upper limit had risen because of his unintended influence, and many individuals had grown stronger as a result, the relative gap between them remained exactly the same.
