Chapter 21 - Chapter 21: The Empress of the Night

"...Teio, what are you doing here?"

Luo Cheng was certain he had locked the door. How had she gotten in? Was it... teleportation?

The Tokai Teio of the game world was truly ubiquitous; she could even crawl into wardrobes. This felt less like a feature and more like a bug.

"I've been here for a long time," Teio said with a giggle, her toes playfully tracing the lines of Luo Cheng's face. "I slipped in while you were showering and hid in the wardrobe. Don't you think you were being incredibly mean today, Trainer? You promised to spend the day with me, but half the time you were busy chatting with Seiun Sky."

"Mmm... I suppose so, but is that really so bad?" Luo Cheng mumbled in response.

Unlike humans, the more a horse girl trained, the softer and more supple her feet became. They didn't have the calloused skin of a human; their soles felt as smooth as a bar of soap. By the moonlight, Luo Cheng could see her long, delicate toes, like tender lotus sprouts, and her neatly trimmed, polished pink nails.

Perhaps because she had been walking all day, Teio's soles were slightly damp, carrying a faint scent of citrus mixed with perspiration. The two scents combined to create a strange chemical reaction that made Luo Cheng's head feel hazy.

Teio seemed to thoroughly enjoy the sensation of "kneading" him like a cat, giggling all the while. Now she was on top, and the Trainer was on the bottom! She had successfully executed a "subordinate-on-superior" maneuver.

"Explain yourself, Trainer. How is it 'not so bad'?" Teio curled her small feet, continuously kneading the man's chest, her face flushed red.

"You're both my horse girls, so surely it's okay for me to say a few things."

"That's true, but not all horse girls are the same." Teio increased her pressure, clamping her feet around Luo Cheng's face. It was a bit painful, yet strangely comfortable. Teio was just playing; she wasn't truly angry. Or rather, this was all part of the "play" between her and Luo Cheng.

"Give me one reason to let you off the hook, Trainer."

"We'll go out together again. Just the two of us next time, okay?"

"That's the compensation you should give me, but don't think you're getting away with today's behavior so easily. I'm going to get my own back!"

With that, Teio leaned down, sprawling across Luo Cheng. Her thighs wrapped around him like an octopus, pinning him down.

"Trainer... you smell so good," Teio said in her high-pitched, childish voice. Amidst the rustle of clothes being discarded, she threw back the duvet.

"Hehe, little Trainer is about to be eaten by the Great Teio-sama~"

...

The next morning, Luo Cheng opened his eyes. Every muscle in his body ached. His waist was sore, his legs felt like jelly, and he was overwhelmed by a profound sense of emptiness.

With a great effort, he rolled over to look at the little filly lying beside him. Her vibrant ponytail had been undone, her hair flowing out with a more mature grace. The white streak on her bangs shimmered beautifully in the sunlight, drawing the eye. In this state, Teio bore a striking resemblance to Symboli Rudolf.

However, the most captivating sight was her shoulders. Peeking out from the covers, her rosy shoulders radiated a soft, rounded glow. The abundance of collagen made her already lovely skin look even tighter and smoother. Seeing the flawless girl before him, Luo Cheng pulled her into his arms.

She was so soft, so tender—it felt as if she might melt in his embrace. This was likely the first time he had been intimate with a horse girl who possessed human consciousness. With Cafe, he had been asleep; with Teio, he had been fully aware.

Two clear rows of teeth marks were visible on Luo Cheng's neck. Teio hadn't previously shown a habit of biting, but last night, it was as if she had been possessed by Narita Brian. Luo Cheng had nearly been drained of his very life force. The damp bedding and the shredded jacket on the floor were all testaments to Teio's "victory."

Eventually, Tokai Teio woke up. Her beautiful azure eyes blinked as she looked at him. Her thoughts activated instantly, and her face turned a brilliant scarlet.

"Trainer... yesterday, I... yesterday..." she stammered, unable to finish a sentence.

Are you seriously being shy now? Shy, after having finished the meal and wiped the plate clean. Teio was experiencing a strange delayed reaction. Last night, even when Luo Cheng was practically begging for mercy, she hadn't stopped; if anything, she had grown more fervent. That dominant, excited expression she'd worn while pinning his hands down truly befitted the name "Teio."

She was the Empress of the Night. But by day, she had completely wilted. The little filly, her head practically steaming, curled up inside the blanket, refusing to show her face.

"I'll go make breakfast. You should drink some water first."

Looking at the pile of underwear crumpled like it had been through a wash cycle, it was clear Teio was severely dehydrated. Once Luo Cheng had put on his clothes and headed to the kitchen, Teio cautiously poked her head out.

Why did I lose my head and do something like that with the Trainer?! Just thinking about it made Teio's head steam with embarrassment. I was longing for a romantic date! Teio tapped her head. It was all Seiun Sky's fault! If she hadn't been flirting with the Trainer, I wouldn't have run to his room out of spite!

After pinning all the blame on Seiun Sky, Teio felt much better. She stroked her lower abdomen. Glancing cautiously at her Trainer again, she saw him deftly bringing the prepared dishes to the table.

In the past, to kill time, Luo Cheng had learned to cook from the chefs in the cafeteria. However, he had quickly given up. It wasn't because it was difficult, but because the girls wouldn't show any special expression when they ate, and there was no point in cooking just for himself. Looking at food that no one enjoyed only made him feel more empty.

"I'm going to take a shower first." Teio walked to the bathroom. After using a towel to clean the residue from her thighs, she returned to the table. "Trainer, you have to take responsibility for me. From now on, you must put the Great Teio-sama first. Do you hear me?"

"Yes, yes. Eat up, it's getting cold."

"Saying it once is enough!"

Even after doing that, the Trainer acted as if nothing had happened. It was infuriating. She hadn't stepped on him hard enough. Next time, Teio planned to stick her foot right in his mouth to make him recognize his place.

"Teio."

"Hmm?"

"Good luck in the Debut Race."

"Of course! I'm Tokai Teio, after all. It'll be a breeze!" With breadcrumbs stuck to the corner of her mouth, she spoke boastfully. "You keep reminding me... does Trainer not have confidence in me?"

"I do. Of course I do."

"It seems Trainer recognizes my greatness. Hmph~ That's right. All you need to do is give me your unlimited attention. Whether it's the Triple Crown or any other race, watch me win them all for you!" A confident smile graced her face, completely oblivious to the growing complexity in Luo Cheng's gaze.

In a flash, the day of Tokai Teio's Debut Race arrived.
