The forest clearing disappeared behind them as Draven and Zayra approached the academy's doors. Tall towers and solid walls indicated that the place wasn't just for training; it was a training center for elite warriors.
A silver-haired man, wearing light armor, watched the entrance. His eyes analyzed every detail: posture, energy, and presence of those approaching.
"Who are you?" he asked, his voice firm.
Zayra stepped forward:
"This is Draven. He trained with me in the forest. I want to present him for admission."
The man raised an eyebrow, observing Draven from head to toe.
"Draven… hm. You look younger than you appear." His eyes scanned every scar, every natural movement of the boy. "But I want to see if you have substance."
Draven didn't answer, only stood firm, his violet eyes fixed on the evaluator. His energy was palpable, a calm and controlled, yet intense presence.
"Very well," said the man. "There will be a test. Not just strength, but skill, reflexes, and control. If you pass, you will be admitted."
The test was simple, but demanding:
Reflex assessment: small simulated attacks; Draven dodged, jumped, and blocked each blow with precision.
Combat skill: controlled combat with a basic-level warrior from the academy. He needed to demonstrate technique, strategy, and stamina.
Energy control: using small simulated flames and Armament Haki, Draven showed he could control power without causing destruction.
When he finished, he took a deep breath, observing the evaluator. The silver-haired man crossed his arms, analyzing the result.
"Impressive," he said seriously. "You have control, strength, and potential. You are admitted."
Draven simply nodded. Formality wasn't important; he knew the reality of training and challenges would come later.
Zaya smiled beside him:
"Welcome to the academy." Here, you will face warriors of various races and learn techniques you never imagined existed.
Draven took a deep breath, feeling the weight of responsibility and the opportunity for growth. The forest had been his training ground, but now something bigger was beginning.
He didn't yet know what he would face inside the academy, but one thing was certain: the journey to becoming truly powerful was only just beginning.
