Chapter 15 - Chapter 15 – The Night She Disappeared

The explosion changed everything.

After that night, Mihir refused to let Ava out of his sight. Security was tighter than ever. Cameras, guards, locked floors—everything felt like a fortress.

But somehow…

Ava felt more trapped than protected.

"Do you trust me?" Ava asked one evening.

Mihir looked up from his laptop.

"Yes," he answered without hesitation.

Ava stepped closer.

"Then stop treating me like a prisoner."

Mihir sighed.

"This isn't about control, Ava. It's about keeping you alive."

Ava's voice softened.

"And what if I don't want to live like this?"

Mihir didn't respond.

Because deep down, he knew—

She was right.

That night, Ava couldn't sleep.

The penthouse was silent, but her mind wasn't.

She walked quietly toward the balcony.

The cold air hit her face as she stepped outside.

Snow was falling gently.

For a moment, everything felt peaceful again.

Like before all of this started.

Then—

A sudden sound behind her.

Before Ava could turn—

A hand covered her mouth.

Her eyes widened in shock.

Strong arms pulled her back.

She tried to scream, to fight—but it was too late.

Everything happened too fast.

A cloth pressed against her face.

Her vision blurred.

The last thing she saw…

Was the snow falling silently outside.

Meanwhile—

Inside the penthouse—

Mihir walked into the living room.

"Ava?" he called.

No answer.

His chest tightened.

He checked the bedroom.

Empty.

Balcony door—slightly open.

His heart dropped.

"Mihir sir!" a guard rushed in.

"The cameras—"

Mihir turned sharply.

"What about them?"

"They were hacked for five minutes."

Silence.

Deadly silence.

Mihir's voice turned cold.

"She's gone."

On the floor near the balcony—

Ava's phone lay broken.

Mihir picked it up slowly.

His hand clenched.

His eyes darkened with something dangerous.

Something ruthless.

For the first time—

Mihir wasn't calm.

He was furious.
