I'm barely able to make a ice sword in time to stop unrelenting storm. Its too fast i wasn't even able to see it move! My sword is easily turned down and it attempts to grab me by the head. Corn suddenly hits it in the head with a ice sword causing a small chip to fall off. Sunny comes up from the shadows in a swift move towards the back of its throat, im suddenly smacked away from a extra arm, corn has to go into a reflection to not be hit and it catches sunnys hand.
Frost creeps up his arm but before it can kill him a figure glowing white rushes past me and swings at it as well as a simple arrow. It throws sunny at neph, moves it head slightly catching the arrow in its teeth and bites down on it.
Neph and sunny slide back near me with a grimace. The two get up more then a little dased. Cassie finally gets here as kai lands. Corn appears with the sound of breaking glass and effie gets here slightly limping. We where prepared to get attacked but so suddenly? No way. Unrelenting storm tilts its head looking us over and it opens it mouth.
"Hm. Looks like the whole team is here"
They can... speak? It looks at effie and with a tone of disinterest it speaks
"In the back of your mind you wondered what happened to your child when you got corrupted last cycle"
Effie straightens up
"You got that name for a reason"
what doe..... oh. Oh god. They take a calm step forwards
"You always try so hard to stay the 'fun' one."
They brandish the sword pointing it at us, neph moves forward starting the fight
"Yet its just a thin thin mask you put on."
They duck under a swipe from sunny then with one hand they throw a dagger stopping a arrow.
"It tires you, to see to know yet to act a fool"
They catche corns blade with a hand and elbow him in the stomach I use that to get a hit in the arm. I grab neph and I pull her back as snow whips the air forcing us all back.
They turn their head up those eyes looking right at kai.
"Do you know why you managed to become sunnys master after we killed nephis?"
Kai freezes for a second then grits his teeth
"Stop talking"
They step to the side dodging a thrown spear then with a swipe destroys a manifested shadow. They tilt their head then simply keeps speaking ignoring the command
"Its that power. Simply ordered mordret not to speak then made sunny tell you his true name."
Their still not trying that hard, predictably they also seem to not care. Flames melt the ice yet they stay unaffected. They still keep talking with a calm, no apathetic tone
"You were so betrayed and slowly being driven more and more insane by corruption that you did not care"
They shake their head. They grab nephs blade almost breaking it, she makes a grab for the head but they dodge letting go of the blade stepping back
"So insecure about your place, yet still you fear your power. Its shameful"
Kai lets go another arrow, its the least accurate of them all.
I narrow my eyes, their speed, it's unnatural. My aspect doesn't increase speed. I watch as they dodge a attack from sunny... I see, their shrouding themself in snowstorm and using it to move themself at a higher speed. They focus on corn
"Only half a man, yet that half isn't even considered a human by everyone else"
He freezes for half a second then dodges down almost having his head cut off. There's a shocked expression on his face followed by dread
"We both know you'll never be the one to kill Anvil. You claim to not care about your life, yet thats all you do."
I stop their blade for a second, then i use snow storm to slow them down. They lift one hand using it to stop a arrow getting it through the hand. Then they use it to swipe sunny away.
"You hate that you can't have that last piece of you back."
I jump back almost getting an eye taken out, instead only getting a deep cut on my cheek. He blocks another attack and they say something else but because of their odd mouth structure I can read their lips to figure out what they said. That clearly freaks him out deeply and he disappears then reappears closer to cassie looking frazzled.
They bash nephs head then slams a hand into sunnys stomach sending him back. They dodge another flying spear then grabs quiet dancer, it barely being dismissed in time to not be destroyed. Cassie is able to escape thanks to a arrow that hits unrelenting storm in the eye. They stand up straighter looking us over then, a shield barely blocks a gunshots. Even still it goes through the shield and hits me in the shoulder. Crown of snow has been activated. With wind strong enough to be from a time storm singer summons herself and meets...
"Noctis...?"
A hand shakes me and I look over at Adam. His face shows a deep sense of worry. I try not to panic, I haven't been able to fully fight as I've been holding them back. I summon my echos and so does everyone else. In the background everything shakes as noctis, as well as more then half of the army and singer fights.
"Nephis. Oh nephis."
I freeze turning to them as they sit on the railings watching as we fight
"Doesn't it hurt, knowing sunless, hell everyone here, helped kill you?"
She grits her teeth melting another soldier
"It does not matter"
They wave one hand
"But it does. You know something, its interesting that you never once saved her"
I block another attack, most of the army is focused on neph.
"You talk a lot"
They lean forward tilting their head
"And? At least what i say is not a lie. I never once even thought of lying to countless people. Not that I can save them, or that I won't betray them"
They stand up as their attacked by cassie once again.
The clang of battle drowns out What they say to cassie. I stab one of them and i kick another. I jump back lifting my halberd to protect effie shes breathing quite hard
"I.... well that was a... a... oh god damn it that was something else"
I nod it was horrifying. The chance that the corrupted version of her... I would rather not think about it. Kai flies down landing as I cut another down
"I... I can't stay up in the air, I'm being shot at its a new experience. That is uh for sure."
Shit shit shit this is getting worse
"Protect effie."
I then run through the army barely dodging attacks until I get to cassie and unrelenting storm. Cassie is covered in cuts and unrelenting storm is missing the other eye. Yet is still fighting just the same. I slam into them flinging both versions of me off the ship.
The water freezes as we hit it. I roll two swords hitting eachother as sunny stands over me blocking a attack. I lash out using a set of ice claws, even when the ice starts to cut into me. They step back seeming to fuse into the ice appearing far away.... a copy of sunny's ability. My transcendent form seems to be to turn into ice.
"Sunless..."
I get up healing myself using commanders authority i lift my halberd.
"What?"
They stay so fucking calm. How can they say this kind of shit so calmly
"You claim to be so selfish. But thats your problem isn't it."
Sunny lifts the sin of Solace. They glance at it, even without eyes, with the first spark of anything annoyance.
"You are selfish, to leave us to go and become unchained. In the end I cant blame you"
The two clash blades and I attack from the side
"Are you happy? Will you be happy? If you can be with her. Everyone knows what's stopping you"
Sunny grits his teeth as he slides back. I jump back barely keeping my arm on my shoulder

They glance at us then at the ship and they narrow their missing eyes.
"Be careful what you wish for"
Then they jump into the air.... their going to try to kill everyone in a hail of ice. I bend down then I jump after them activiting my wings to speed up. Their using ice storm to keep themself up, to fly. I stab them in the chest flying farther and farther up
"Arent you tired?"
"Shut up. Just shut up"
They scratch at my arms i heal it as it happens
"How many times have you thought you just not cared when people you don't know died?"
"Stop it"
I feel one of my eyes get ripped out
"You anyways say you aren't nosey but your so nosey you want to know everything but you dont want to act like you don't know it"
I scratch at their face
"You dont care. The only feeling you know you feel is hate. And when that fades you'll be left with nothing."
I finally catch a crack on their jaw
"So kill them. Kill them while you still hate th-"
I finally rip their jaw off finally shutting them up. I slowly down then I flip to be on top then I push us down as hard as possible we fall and fall. Finally hitting the ice.

They crack as the ice does and I fall into the water sinking. My arms are both broken I'm covered in injures. Pain, blinding pain. I slowly close my eyes as I sink. A hand grabs mine as I sink and it pulls me up.
