With Beast I love through the trees. I had gotten good at staying quiet at this point. I throw a spear hitting a fallen devil, killing it. I land on top of a masters shoulders. I put a dagger to his throat.
"Put your heads down. There's a great one nearby."
The whole group turn their heads down. Their scared, didn't even know did they? After a few minutes I jump off of the guy's shoulders. Leaving just as suddenly as I appeared. I've yet to make the real big moves but they will come very soon. First I'll have to deal with something that's been annoying me for a while.
I land on the path of a very small caravan. For most looking at this, its just another caravan. But their heads slowly turn towards me with a grin.
"Skin walker"
The closest one tilts its head
"Heat seeker."
About 5 threats are present. I roll my shoulders.
"Well let's get on with this already. No need to talk am I right?"
It nods and as they move the cloud barrier opens they all stop their eyes staring at me with those blank grins.
"What did you expect me to play fair? You sure didn't when you as a great terror attacked a group of masters."
I use snow storm to knock them off balance causing all of it to turn to ash. The cloud barrier closes and I walk over to the caravan. I use a small sharp piece of ice to scratch something into the wood.
"Skin walker attacked. Heat Seeker killed vessels."
I turn then I leave knowing it being on the main path meaning it will be found.
With Heart, I carefully run off. Can't be seen doing this after all. I duck behind a tent as someone passes. I then start running yet again, less running and more speed walking. I get behind a large wooden thing. I don't care to figure out what it is.
"I can't believe changing star was forced to go back to the main camp"
"Its so stupid! She saved so many people and we won too!"
As the voices pass i keep going. Sometimes ducking behind tents sometimes other things around the very temporary camp. I finally make it to the meeting point and from a satchel i carefully take out of my shirt I take out a set of beautiful daggers, beast out did themself on the two weapons. One is slightly transparent with a slight blue tint the other has one side a ashy gray and the other is like fire, no magma. Soon a pale hand comes out from the shadows taking the two daggers. I kinda really want to know what their name is going to be. Apparently the harness for flame will be delivered later. And not by me thankfully.
With Storm I sit on the walls overlooking the white bone. I guess some habits never change, I had gotten it from the second nightmare and it really just hasn't left. Minion sits next to me
"So... boss... whats the difference in your two kinds of ice?"
I tilt my head
"What do you mean?"
He waves his hand
"You know... sometimes you use a weird kind of ice"
It takes me a little to realize
"Oh yeah. Some is because of a attribute i got during my third nightmare. My aspect is made for big explosions of power. The attribute, shard of frozen death, is more made for making smaller stuff so I can really put on details."
I then lift my hand and it gains a pale blue film
"It also let's me use cold film over my body too. Pretty useful stuff"
He frowns
"So... more ice?"
I shrug thinking for a bit
"Oh you know how I can like make people put of ice, well it let's them create new weapons and armor, it upped their fight capabilities too."
He actually gets more excited at that
"Really?"
He must have seen them fight
"There's another effect. I havent tested that one yet"
He turns to me fully
"Why?"
I shrug
"It apparently takes a willing participant, like a whole other person, they can't be from the same rank as me too"
I learned that last part because effie was feeling bold, as she does, but the ability didn't work. He grabs my hands
"I'll do it!"
I purse my lips trying to get a read on why he would do such a thing
"You know this could be dangerous right?"
He nods with a brave expression. Or one he's trying to put one on.
"Of course. Im sure even if it hurts me I'll be healed"
I... I want to respect his opinion on this but... what if it hurts him? Hes so young and I dont want to cause him harm or even death... I take a deep breath and I active it.
[You have gained a subject]
He grins happily. That heavy dread lightens up quite a bit.
"I gained a attribute!"
He looks into the distance at his runes
"Subject of snow! The heir to the snow crown has deemed you worthy to become one of their subjects!"
I take a deep breath leaning back on my chair. Alls well that ends well and all that. I'm glad that feeling of dread wasn't needed, now I wish I didn't get it.
"Well? What does it do?"
He looks up then grins its wide and far too childlike. He's at most 21 too young for a whole war.
"I'm less hot now and..."
He focuses for a few seconds making a small piece of ice. It seems he won't be able to make large explosions of ice but smaller objects for now, similar to shard of frozen death.
"look, look, i can make ice now!"
I nod. It seems whatever this new thing is, it will only take on its true form if I become a sovereign with a domain. Thats not going to happen any time soon so for now its a simple... wait this isn't simple at all! I gave someone a whole new attribute! Holy shit!
