I arrive back at my ship. As I sit down, noctis glances at the white mist with clear judgment, then a mirror appears next to me. Hoori appears in it
"hey boss. So I found a note, its just, nightgarden dream."
I glance over raising a eyebrow
"who made it?"
"Seer of the infinite"
I sigh heavily
"even in the third nightmare she still manages to get me to to stuff. Such is the thing with seers."
They humorlessly snort
"oh tell me about it. So what do you intended to do" I
laugh
"classic sun adventure that's what"
they lean forward like their about to talk about something scandalous
"really? I mean our last few adventures haven't gone well"
"I think they all went quite well. Dangerous yes, but there's always quite the boons from each. Plus, I haven't done anything like that for a while. I think it would help me"
they shrug
"I'll hold down the fort until your back. Don't die again"
"I wont"
finally the mirror disappears into sparks. I lean back on my chair looking out at the sky.
"Well we should get moving, right noctis?"
I whittle at a piece of wood, a handle and all that. Just something to do.
"So noctis, do you remember sunless?"
He huffs and starts talking. I dont hear anything but I can understand the vibes. It's something around the ballpark of
'the shadow spawn? Yeah I remember him, how's he doing? I know you two were close after all'
i laugh
"he's doing quite well. He's a supreme after all. The lord of shadows.... not a very good name but I'm not a name person"
he nods and waves his hand
'that guy is something else. Then again you are too'
i snicker
"so do you want to see what he really looks like? I swear you'd never expect it"
he smirks at me
'I doubt he'd be that shocking appearance wise. I was called the most handsome man in all of the Kingdom of Hope once. I have no doubt I'm the most handsome man in the whole human domain'
"oh dont worry I'm sure you'll be shocked"
We arrive at night garden. Me and noctis anchor the ship together. I feel a shift and I look back to see sunny
"hey sun. It hasn't been long, but still long time no see"
he looks around like it's a conspiracy
"so you remember it all."
I nod
"yup. So, do you mind if I join you on this adventure sun"
he smiles and laughs
"yeah su-"
he gets cut off when noctis grabs his face and he starts looking it over very intensely.
"Hey noctis?"
Noctis let's go and he points to sunny
'that's not him right? That can not really be sunless'
i snicker
"it's sun alright"
sunny seems more then a little confused and a little amused. Noctis sighs
'i guess I'm not the most handsome man in the human domain'
Later I look down at the clear water. Cool cool. That is quite the effect system. Watering crops and giving water to the citizens. Plus once we get power there's the other storm sea citadels. I feel a hand pick me up and I'm tossed onto nightmare.
"Oh hello nightmare it's been a bit."
Nightmare snorts. I glance back and I try not to laugh.
"Whats so funny"
I crack up
"thats quite the unexpected pairing"
noctis had been thrown onto Jets lap on nightmare. He's clearly embarrassed about it, but far less then normal. Sunny gets on too. Luckily this is a transcendent terror and not a normal horse, this many people would be animal abuse. We appear in a massive tree i get off and I start looking around. Tree.
I sit with jet waiting for the house of night saints. Noctis is doing some magic sorcery stuff. I'm not able to use any of it so I don't really know much of it.
"Gentlemen. Please, have a seat."
I look at the trio of saints. I dont know the last one, but isn't he the guy who rejected Morgan. Props, wouldn't want her either, too pompous and smug.
"Is it true, Soul Reaper?"
Jet gets pretty confused, so do I frankly
"What, exactly, are you talking about?"
The trio look at eachother in silent communication, maybe talking to each other with their minds, like that one time
"That monster, Mordret of Nowhere. Are the rumors true? He is a Supreme now, and Lady Nephis and heat seeker strike a deal with him?"
I sigh
"you could just ask me i am not some pompous prick. And yes we had to. I can only say this on the matter, there's a conflict coming up, mordret is currently quite the good ally when the disaster gets here"
bloodwave scowls but says nothing. I wave him on signaling i don't intend to do anything about his words
"it doesn't matter how good of a tool he could be. That monster has to be killed"
I shake my head
"The only way he was a tool, was for the queen of worms, she would have done far worse to your clan if she hadn't had mordret as a convenient tool. In the end mordret was just very determined to kill his abuser"
bloodwave sighs
"I do understand that, still is it smart to let him live?"
I nod "
he's someone who wants to survive more then anything, so if there was a threat that would threaten him he'd help us three deal with him"
Naeve gets a look
"three? There is another sovereign? I thought only you, lady nephis and the lord of shadows may he rest in.... well.... could become a sovereign naturally"
