Chapter 50 - THE FIVE SHADOWS OF CREATION

The Leader of the Creators beamed, offering a warm, hospitable gesture. "Welcome, my guests! I hope you all had a very pleasant journey."

Leo glared at him, his fists trembling. "And why on earth would you expect us to have a pleasant journey when you kept sending Council members to kill us?!"

The Leader raised his hands in mock surrender, letting out a dramatic gasp. "Woah, woah! It seems my guests are in quite a foul mood today."

"Leo, quiet," Null said firmly, placing a hand on Leo's arm. "I know you're angry... but I want to speak with him politely."

The Leader's smile widened as he nodded at Null. "Ah, I am so glad that on Earth, there are still people with actually functioning brains."

Null stepped forward, his expression grave. "So, what do we have to do to end all of this?"

"To end something, my friend," the Leader replied smoothly, "you must first start it."

Null's brow furrowed. "Can you explain what you mean more clearly?"

"Of course I can!" The Leader clapped his hands together cheerfuly. "You and your friends view me as some sort of villain, but in reality, I am the good guy here! In fact, you all should be thanking me for saving your lives time and time again."

Null, Leo, and Lana stared at him in complete silence. None of them could make any sense of what he had just claimed.

Leo crossed his arms, scoffing bitterly. "He asked you to explain things, not make them ten times more complicated! And there is no way in hell I am ever saying thank you to you!"

The Leader smirked, shaking his head with mock sympathy. "Yay, I completely understand why you can't grasp what I just said. You see, everyone is born with a different amount of brain cells... and you clearly received the absolute least."

"Why you—!" Leo growled, stepping forward before Null caught him.

"Wait," Lana spoke up softly, stepping past her brother.

She tapped her chin, analyzing everything she had witnessed over the past few weeks. "If I connect what we've been through with what you just said... then I can deduce that someone even more powerful than you wants us assassinated. If you helped us directly, it would put you in immense danger. So instead, you tried to guide and protect us indirectly as much as you possibly could from behind the scenes. Am I right?"

Lana looked up, offering a small, polite nod. "So... I guess, thank you for what you did for us."

The Leader chuckled softly. "I guess my assessment was spot on."

"Just shut up," Leo muttered, turning his face away.

The Leader looked back at Lana, his cheerful demeanor returning. "You are very sharp, little girl! But allow me to offer one small correction: the ones who want to assassinate you are not more powerful than me—they are equally as strong as I am. And there are four of them."

The leader said i think our misunderstanding is solved i guess we should talk about axiom

The moment the word Axiom left his lips—

THUMMMMMMMMM!

The solid white surface beneath their feet began to tremble violently! Deep, cracking vibrations echoed through the infinite expanse, shattering the peace of the white void as the entire dimension threatened to break apart!
