Raven stood in the air gazing at the fluffy and somewhat colorful clouds floating silently, adorning the lovely pinkish blue sky. However, he was not actually looking at the scene in front of him.
His eyes were glazed and unfocused and from time to time, one could even see his eyes turning golden. This continued for a few minutes until finally Raven came back to his senses.
" I am kind of getting used to this memory receiving thingy now ! "
Although he said that, his face still betrayed his current emotions of awe and excitement. Becasue he had finally received the information about the golden finger he has receievd a week ago.
Until now, he was just guessing and trying to figure out the things or opportunities he has received. But now, he is finally aware of what the massive opportunity he had stumbled on.
The reason he blanked out the moment he touched the barrier is becasue he was receiving information about this golden Island, which is also his opportunity. It's just that the information he received was a bit too much for him to digest so he blanked out there.
" So this island is called a soul palace and this exists inside a persons soul. This was created and nurtured by Elemental monarch in his own soul along with his inner world, but because my soul is still not strong enough to accomodate the inner world even after absorbing Elemental monarch's damaged soul, only this soul palace is availabe for my use. And this soul palace is now inside MY soul ? "
Raven tried making sense of the situation he was in through the memories he just received.
It seems like the person whose soul raven devoured was called The Elemental Lord. And the white space with no end or beginning where he first appeared and was floating the whole time was his own soul space. Soul space, as the name suggests, is the space inside a persons soul which can be accessed when one's soul is strengthened to a certain limit.
It's just that normal people are not even aware of their soul's existence let alone being able to sense or enter the soul space.To do so requires a number of conditions, which only strong experts who has absorbed the extraordinary energy of the universe can do.
Raven was able to enter his own soul space beacuse his own soul was strengthened significantly after absorbing that persons soul, even if it was damaged and severely lacking. As for how to enter inside one's own soul ? It's quite simple. An individual only needs to think about entering this space and BAM! You can enter. And Raven did just that while trying to be Sherlock Homeless.
One thing to note is that we do not enter our own soul space with our body. It's just the consciousness that enters. We could even simultaneously move our body and ispect the soul space. Raven was unable to do so because, firstly he was completely in dark about everything happening. And secondly he just got a big boost in his soul and is still trying to adapt to everthing. He will better with time and practice.
As for that bigger misty island that suddenly dissappeared, Apparently it was still too much for Raven's soul to handle it's existence so it was instead absorbed into this Golden soul palace. He should be able to access that in the future when his mastery over souls increases or his soul strength increase itself.
" The soul stuff is all cool and mysterious but the thing that's really making me excited is this soul palace. I have really hit the jackpot among the jackpots!! " Raven thought excitedly.
And the reason was that this particular soul palace was not just any other soul palace of other experts. It was different and extraordinary because the elemental monarch had created this soul palace island to train and accomodate his forces and confidants. He had put immense resources and efforts to make this island a perfect place for training and creating powerhouses.
And now it was all Raven's to use. That's why raven called it the actual inheritance. The Island had a total of 100 palace complexes all serving a different purpose. Elemental lord had even gone to great lengths to collect the best techniques from around the universe.
Be it cultivation technique to enhance oneself using the energy of universe or fighting techniques to enhance ones combat power, alchemy or refining techniques for pills or artifacts. There were even manuals and knowledge from other civilizations such as the technological empire or the beast master empire or the mage god plane.
Although elemental lord originated from a cultivation background, he was smart enough to understand and appreciate the power of other power systems. So he collected knowledge from all systems in the hope of creating his own empire with his own friends and confidants.
The 100 palaces on this island were the result of his accumulation and hardwork. Each one contained knowledge and inheritance of a certain technique or power system or something else useful for a organisation to florish.
The pillars Raven saw from outside in the centre of each palace complex were the inheritance pillars, the core of each palace complex. They contain the core techniques and inheritance. These individual palaces even have special places to learn, adapt and improve in that partiular technique. Each of these complexes might look small from outside, but the space inside is expanded using extraordinary means, so even a small room from outside is at least 10 times bigger frrom the inside. These complexes also act as temporary residences for the people cultivating here.
This was mostly the case with the outer 90 palaces. The inner 9 ones sorrounding the main palace were somewhat special with special inheritances and techniques, such as alchemy, artifact refining, soul master inheritance, bloodline integration art from the beast world etc.
Not only are the techniques more complex and requires more talent and dedication to master, the effect they could have individually or as a group is alo great. The space inside these 9 palaces is much larger than the other 90 ones and even the knowledge contained is much more diverse and profound.
However, the one Raven was most curious about was the Knowledge Palace!
