Chapter 66 - Chapter 66: Customization

An abandoned building.

"Any news about her?"

A tall woman said.

"Sorry, not yet."

A person who looked like a subordinate lowered his head and replied.

"It's fine, keep looking slowly."

"No rush, we just need to confirm her location first."

"Our plan isn't set to start that early."

The tall woman said casually.

The subordinate acknowledged with a sound and left.

"The Hoshimi Family's Second Miss, huh."

"I didn't expect the Hoshimi Family to hide such a trump card; this is really interesting."

"I just don't know what her strength is..."

The tall woman smiled as she looked at a picture in her hand showing Hoshimi Aya and Ya together, taken from some unknown location.

...Sixth Street, Video Store

Zhe was designing Hoshimi Aya's combat uniform.

After days of non-stop work, the publication of the combat uniform design was finally complete.

However, it would still need revisions later, so Zhe planned to first make a set using ordinary materials to let Aya try it on.

To see if any part needed modification.

"Wow, is this Aya's combat uniform?"

Ling looked at the clothes on the computer screen.

"Yeah, that's right."

"But this is just the initial version; it still needs modifications."

"I plan to use this design scheme first and find someone to make a set."

"See how it looks, and then we'll make further plans."

Zhe nodded.

After all, he was an amateur; some parts of the design were bound to be substandard.

So, he needed to make a set first to see how it looked when worn.

"I'm fine with anything, as long as it's convenient for fighting. I have no other opinions."

Hoshimi Aya glanced at the design drawing, unconcerned.

She was indifferent to this kind of thing.

"Good, that's great."

"Sister, later you measure Aya's bust, waist, and hip measurements, as well as all other physical data."

"I need to give them to the designer."

Zhe looked at Hoshimi Aya's lack of objection and spoke to Ling.

Aya might not measure herself accurately, so Ling would be more reliable.

"No problem, leave it to me."

Saying that, Ling excitedly ran back to her room and brought out her own tape measure.

To measure Aya's physical data, such as shoulder width, torso length, height, and arm length.

Finally, the bust, waist, and hip measurements.

"Brother, Aya's height is 150."

Ling reported the height.

Without the high heels, and removing the ears, she was only this tall.

"Ling, I'm 170!"

Hoshimi Aya retorted, pointing to the position of her ears, lifting Ling's hand so the tape measure reached exactly 170, which was the position of Hoshimi Aya's ears.

"Aya, even adding your ears, you still don't seem to be 170. You are 168.5."

"Also, if I report 170, Aya, your clothes might not fit properly."

Ling giggled.

Hoshimi Aya, however, made a long face. Height was her only sore spot since transmigrating.

She was quite satisfied with the other parts of her body; the only thing she disliked was her height—it was just too short.

"Don't be unhappy."

"Aya, you still have room to grow."

"After all, strictly speaking, you don't seem to be an adult yet."

Ling took out the residence card Hoshimi Aya had acquired. The birth date might be wrong, but the bone age couldn't be off by much.

When the ID card was processed, the staff estimated her age to be around sixteen, differing by at most one or two years.

So, the ID card stated she was sixteen, and the date was filled in randomly by Aya herself.

This meant Aya was fundamentally still a child.

After Ling reported all of Hoshimi Aya's data, Zhe recorded it down one by one.

"This should be about it now."

"I'll contact the person who does custom tailoring right away."

"I'll send her these data and the design blueprints."

"I estimate we can receive it in a couple of days."

Saying that, Zhe took out his phone and sent the data to the custom shop he had contacted previously.

"Yeah, that's good."

"But even the first version needs to be made with material resistant to Ether corrosion."

"After all, we can't waste it."

Ling pondered. A custom-made item would certainly be the most fitting, with at most some minor unreasonable aspects.

They could just modify those parts later. Once the final version was confirmed, they could take the H.S.O.S 6 uniform and modify that.

After all, the material for that uniform was very expensive, using almost all top-tier materials.

"The quality of the shoes must be good."

Hoshimi Aya spoke up, thinking of something. She wasn't worried about the quality of the clothes; injuries were a low-probability event.

But the shoes definitely needed to be good, as she ran in a way that ordinary high heels couldn't withstand.

She had already ruined several pairs before. It was only when she switched to the pair from H.S.O.S 6 that the damage to the shoes stopped.

She had to admit, the material quality was superb.

"I know, I already told her."

"The material will be custom-made with a texture similar to what you have on your feet right now."

"The quality shouldn't be too different."

Zhe considered.

He had thought about this too, so he had already communicated with the custom shop.

Upon hearing this, Hoshimi Aya nodded.

The quality of the shoes definitely needed to be high, as with her leg strength, she could easily wear shoes out.

"That's good, but I still lean towards wearing pants."

"Zhe, design a pair for me that uses pants, okay?!"

Hoshimi Aya blinked her eyes and stared at Zhe, pleading.

"Uh... fine."

"I'll put in some extra effort to design a set with pants."

Zhe couldn't refuse when looking at Aya's expression, so he reluctantly agreed.

The difference between wearing a skirt and wearing pants was significant, meaning he might have to redesign an entire set from scratch.

"Thanks."

"Zhe, you're the best."

Hoshimi Aya smiled happily.

Zhe could only helplessly rub his forehead. This first version was already the result of his non-stop effort.

Now there was another set that needed to be redesigned, but fortunately, since one set was already designed, he wouldn't have to rush the second set like the first one.

He could relax a bit and take his time.

"Brother, you don't have to rush this one like the first set."

"We already have one set; we can take our time designing this one."

Ling advised, looking at Zhe. She knew about her brother working day and night to design the first uniform.

But since the first version existed, there was no need to rush the production.

Taking some appropriate rest was fine.

Besides, they had other matters recently.

Not only did they need to investigate that organization, but their Inter-Knot rank also needed to be improved quickly.

The cost of custom clothing was a huge expense, and they definitely couldn't just order one set.

They needed several sets, and now the request for a pant version added another expense.

"I know, but I can spend more effort on this set."

"Make it as good-looking as possible. Since we already have the first set, there's no need to rush it like the first one."

"I can take my time with this second set, looking at other outfits for reference."

Zhe nodded.

"Okay, that's good."

"We just completed a big order, so we should have enough funding."

Ling nodded.

Having just finished the order from Bai Qi Heavy Industries, they wouldn't need to worry about a financial crisis recently.

However, the commission for the Inter-Knot still needed to be done. Their current rank was still too low, and they needed to improve it as soon as possible.
